Don't Think Of The Danger...

Game On
Mastered the photography!! Oh yeah!!
(Well for now at least)
Sadly this is my last London Fashion Weekend post.
Anyway this is the Game On collection.
Game On is all about embracing the sportier side of Spring/Summer. I must admit I have been against the sport trend I thought it would be all neon clothes and Perspex accessories; but watching the catwalk show it proved there's a whole other side to this trend a more subtle side.
In this collection there is the balance of the pop of colour of pink, coral, blue and green but there’s also a mix of a softer palette and even black.
My personal favourite look from this collection is the last picture, now I know I always say I play it safe and this is exactly what I'm continuing to do. This look is a top and skirt combination (which I only realised when my Mum pointed it out); I love the simplicity of it but it still has the pop of colour in the top and the pattern. I think overall the girliness of the look probably won me over and of course the flowy skirt.
Watching the Game On collection it really started to change my mind about the sport trend with every look that came down the runway.
I think it's about time I took a risk and I think this Spring/Summer I'm going to embrace the sport trend.
Time to do some more shopping now...

And Love Is A Stranger...

Antipodium S/S 12
My photography is getting better!!
Anyway...
This is the Antipodium S/S 12 collection.
Now I must admit I had never heard of Antipodium before London Fashion Weekend but it's definitely a designer that's caught my eye.
These are the kind of dresses that I would wear everyday; they're what I call the 'chuck on' dress it's perfect for if you're running late or not wanting to make an effort. But that's what's good about these dresses is that they're effortless chic.
My personal favourite look is picture 1 & 2; I love the combination of the knee length and the floral design along with the collar and tie around the waist. I like how this dress is something you could wear to Sunday lunch; but also could be worn just hanging out in London with the way it has been styled in the show for a sportier feel.
You can definitely see the street style inspiration in these designs; I think that's what makes them so versatile.
I definitely would wear any of these dresses; (I've said it a 100 times but that's because it's true).
These designs are definitely changing my mind about the sport trend.
And just like I said for Holly Fulton, Antipodium you have one new fan here.
More to come...

This Dream Is For You...

Prim Rose
Again sorry about the dodgy pictures but I'm still learning.
Anyway this is the Prim Rose collection.
Prim Rose is all about pastel shades which personally I'm a bit afraid of them but there are so easy to wear, you can just team up a pink jumper with a pair of pastel blue jeans (which are actually Levi's and I tried them on, they're really comfy); they are so many ways to style this look.
My personal favourite look from this collection is the third picture, I admit I haven't done the dress justice but it was beautiful. It's sheer with lemon coloured appliqué flowers all over it with a peter pan collar and it is just stunning, if you walked in to a room wearing this dress everyone would be looking at you (for all the right reasons).
I love that this Spring/Summer we actually have an excuse to be girly and to wear pastel colours and appliqué items; you're allowed to have fun with it and of course if you put a dress on you're allowed to twirl around.
Seeing the catwalk show it helps to see options of how you could pair a certain trend with things you already have in your wardrobe.
The Prim Rose collection has definitely convinced me to give pastels a go.
Time to stock up on dresses!
More on the way...

And One For Your Dreams...

Holly Fulton S/S 12
I am booking my ticket to Cannes right now!
I wish...
The Holly Fulton S/S 12 collection was actually the first to go down the runway and it really set the standard. It was actually really nice that with every look my Mum and I would look at each other and go 'I like that one'.
My photography skills are a work in progress but you can see the prints and the movement of the fabrics.
Now I love this collection. The prints are nature inspired with sea horses on a maxi dress, zebra print on a tunic and trees on a pair of trousers; every item is wearable, practical and anyone can wear it. My personal absolute favourite is the zebra print tunic; when that came down the runway my jaw dropped. As you know I love a bit of animal print, so this tunic was perfect plus with the slit at the back it gave it that day to night element.
Another thing I love about this collection is the movement in the fabric and the silky fabric itself.
I literally could spend all day talking about this collection but all I will say is Holly Fulton you have a new fan.
More to come soon...

I popped my London Fashion Weekend cherry!
(That sounds a little wrong. I apologise.)
Today was my first time going to London Fashion Weekend and I am relieved it's over; (I need my bed).
I literally have been planning for weeks what I was going to wear and the matching accessories; but the nearer it got to the day the more I began to doubt my choices, so I decided to wing it.
Worst mistake EVER!!
I shouldn't be allowed to pick an outfit when I need to leave the house in 10 mins because, 30 mins later I am still sitting in the same spot, in the same place, surrounded by the same things. Soon enough I did decide on the ensemble above. You can see my usual colours of black, white and red; I was channelling Kelly Cutrone with a pop of colour and of course a zebra scarf and bowler hat to compliment.
Now actually on to the day...
It was the most hectic, tiring and fascinating day I have ever witnessed.
There is so much to look at and to discover and take part in. I got my photo taken and put on a cover of ELLE and I was really nervous (I made sure the photographer knew); the photographer was lovely and had me play around with my hat. I picked up a Cheap Monday jumper for £10 which is INSANE!!! I've been lusting over the brand so to pick up a bargain was brilliant. I also managed to get a St Lenny t-shirt; I had never heard of the Australian brand before today but their t-shirts are vintage inspired (well it looks like it).
Now to the exciting bit...
One of the perks of going to London Fashion Weekend is being able to see a catwalk show. Now the even better part is that seen as my Mum and I were near the front of the queue to go in to the catwalk area, we were lucky enough to be seated in the front row!!
Anna Wintour eat your heart out!
I was so excited and the general atmosphere was insane, I honestly thought I could do this everyday.
In the catwalk show you had different collections - Holly Fulton S/S 12 / Prim Rose / Antipodium S/S 12 / Game On & Jasper Conran S/S 12. All collections were styled by Miss Molly and introduced by Zoe Hardman (as you can see together, above).
Now over the next couple of days I'll be putting some of the looks from the different collections up here; but for now here is the Jasper Conran S/S 12.
The Jasper Conran S/S 12 collection was beautiful. The clean lines and neutral colours were a perfect combination in this case; I love the 3 looks that are pictured above. You can just imagine walking on the beach in look 2 or strolling through the city in look 1 and even relaxing at home in look 3; Jasper Conran's designs are versatile and each of them unique but a part of a collection and literally makes you yearn for summer now!
That is only a snippet of the day’s events and the other collections are just as amazing.
You'll just have to wait and see...

Less Trashier Much Classier...

Hat - Primark
Dress - Fusion
Cardigan - Primark
Leggings - Topshop
Boots - Shoe Zone
Jewellery - Topshop / River Island
I actually look demented (if that's even a real word).
I have to apologise for my lack of enthusiasm in this photo, as I had just been out to beautify myself and have been attacked by the rain and wind; (not a good look).
This week is London Fashion Week (well the end). When I volunteered back in September I was fascinated and intimidated by all these expressive ensembles that these people had chosen to wear, my favourite is probably this man who was head to toe in hot pink which included an anorak. I kept seeing him through the day and thought he was amazing. I'll admit that I do play safe when it comes to what I choose to wear but unfortunately for me that's force of habit.
Now on to the outfit...
I am obsessed with chain and scarf prints anything that looks like Dolce & Gabbana S/S 2012 collection or even classic Versace, it's my Achilles heel.
At the moment I am slowly building up my own collection so I can lie and says it's D&G (only joking).
This dress is from a shop called Fusion which personally I never go in to; the sort of clothes they do are not to my taste but a while ago I saw this dress in the window and my jaw dropped. So I went back about a week later and got it and it is so short I could never wear it with anything other then leggings.
I'm not that brave!
I'm slowly getting excited for the end of the week...
Friday hurry up and come!!

Vest Top (underneath) - Primark
Trousers - Warehouse
Shoes - New Look
 Bag - H&M
Hat - Primark
Scarf - Primark
Jewellery - Miss Selfridge, Topshop & Primark
ACTION SHOT!!!
This was me yesterday in Rochester.
I'm always fascinated when I go to historic sites whether it be a castle, cathedral or even just a plaque; it's kind of my obsession and it always fascinates me.
It was actually weird going back to Rochester after 5 years and seeing that pretty much nothing has changed and I like that. My parents and I did the museum (the mannequin/doll things still freak me out); plus we looked round the charity and antique shops where I fell in love with an array of fur coats.
I shall dream of them!
Now on to the outfit...
I like to call this look Parisian rock chic.
I am wearing my new shoes in the picture. I'm in love. They're surprisingly comfortable considering how long I wore them and for £17.99 they're actually a bargain!! They have a studded detailing on the front which I think gives it that little bit of an edge.
I'm wearing my favourite top/scarf combination. Trust me I thought the combination of a grey and black top with a pink zebra scarf wouldn't go but actually it compliments really well. I first discovered this winning duo in the summer, I had just bought the scarf and was popping in to town quickly and I chucked the scarf round my neck and it was as if I had an epiphany; (sounds insane I know).
I'm still tired from all the walking, I'm really not that used to it (bad isn't it).
I have a long day tomorrow plus going to see Avenue Q.
It's only a puppet!!
(I couldn't resist...)

These Sticks And Stones Fill Your Body And Boots...

Cardigan - Primark
Dress - Primark
Vest Top (underneath) - Primark
Leggings - Topshop
Boots - Shoe Zone
Belt - New Look
Jewellery - Miss Selfridge & Topshop
I'm a good girl for doing my make up.
Today I went for a smokey-esque eye. You're probably wondering why I'm talking about make up but as you have seen I don't exactly wear it all the time, so when I do I get quite happy.
Today I was in town shopping with my friend Jaime who I haven't seen for a long time!
I didn't get much (but spent more money than I thought); I did buy a pair of new boots to replace the ones in the photo (yes I refuse to get rid of them) they're not the same but I think they'll do until the warm weather comes.
Now on to the outfit...
I did originally plan on wearing trousers and boots but I had the sudden urge last night to wear something girly. This dress is my old faithful, when I was at college I would wear this dress about 3 times a week because it's so quick and easy to chuck on. The necklace in the photo is one that I knew I wanted as soon as I saw it, it's from Miss Selfridge and it's a nice alternative to my rosary.
Plus I have my waist defined today. That’s what confuses me about my waist it's so small that I can buy S/M size belts!
I really am an hourglass.
About time!

I Was Born To Endure This Kind Of Weather...

Headband - River Island
Shirt - Primark
Vest Top - H&M
Vest Top (underneath) - Primark
Trousers - Warehouse
Boots - Next
Jewellery - Topshop & River Island
YAYAYAY I CAN DO EYE LINER!!!!
I do apologise for my out bursts and for the embaressment of being a 19 year old girl who has been unable to do eye liner. I must admit that I have been practising on off for a few years and everytime I give up; so we shall see what happens.
Now on to todays events...
Today I went up to Victoria to welcome home my mum and sister from their trip, so I decided to go quite glam (hence the eye liner) but unfortunately with the temperature at 0 degrees I had turn to my lumberjack ways.
Add some tarten, some fur and some leather and you get my outfit.
As you can see I changed my boots as my lace up boots (god rest their souls) are otherwise indisposed. But I do like feeling like a biker chick in these boots.
I was warm considering I was wearing a vest top but I think you should wear more summer gear in the winter, it makes the cold seem not so bad.
Why can't it be summer??

When The Light Turns Into Darkness...

Hat - Primark
Top - Primark
Top & Vest (underneath) - George @ ASDA & Primark
Trousers - Warehouse
Boots - Priceless Shoes
Jewellery - Primark
To quote Barney Stinson (but my version); 'Snow boot up!'
I over-estimated how much snow was left this morning by snow booting up and wearing (my version of) warm clothes and a practical outfit.
Today was another errand session in town. Managed to pick up some hair dye, eyeliner and nude lipstick (which I've been after for ages!!); along with a scarf, flower clip, 2 bracelets, a pair of earrings, jumper and a pair of shoes, you know the essentials.
This was all thanks to my babysitting money which was actually really fun, I got to watch JAWS for the first time and it wasn't that bad (I actually was scared).
To today’s outfit...
As I have previously said my outfit was my version of a warm practical outfit; this is a new top from Primark and it actually kept me warm. I do love a bit of nautical. These trousers are of course my obsession at the moment (and forever and ever etc); plus the snow gives me an excuse to break out my biker boots that literally come out once a year.
But please no more snow, I keep having the urge to wear heels so please Mother Nature indulge me this once.
Better not put the boots in storage just yet...

Soon Found Out I Was Losing My Mind...

Hat - Primark
Dress - Therapy
Leggings - Topshop
Cardigan - George @ Asda
Boots - Shoe Zone
Belt - New Look
Jewellery - Topshop, River Island & H&M
I am currently in mourning.
My beloved boots (that I am currently wearing in the picture) are falling apart!!
They've been falling to pieces for a while now but today the heel has actually fallen off (well not completely); I have refused to chuck them out as they literally are the only pair of boots I wear and until I get a replacement they are staying on my feet!!
Anyway on to the day’s events...
Today I went to the hospital for a scan which wasn't very nice but I'm alright so that’s good!! Beforehand my mum and I popped in to town to look round the shops which I haven't done for a while (I think); picked up some good items which I can't wait to wear.
Off to babysit the neighbour’s kids later tonight; actually freaking out a bit, I haven't babysat in 8 years!!
(I babysat when I was 11!! That's insane)
This should be interesting...

Or Down In London Town To Go, Go...

Hat - Primark
Jumper - Primark
Dress (worn as skirt) - Topshop
Leggings - Topshop
Boots - Shoe Zone
Jewellery - Topshop/Forever 21
Sunnies - Primark
And the sunnies are back!!
(My lazy excuse to hiding the bags under my eyes!)
Today I went on a magical journey to St Thomas's Hospital with my mum for her check up.
I've been really good this week by writing down everything I want to wear as I do think it's about time for some clothes recycling; unfortunately I underestimated how much my body shape (chest to be more precise) has grown. So today I just threw on the first thing I saw which of course just happened to be a leopard dress and gold sparkly jumper.
I do believe that it's about time I should be more glamorous, and of course what isn't more glamorous than mixing gold and leopard!!
While I was out and about in the FREEZING cold I did look a lot more leopard-esque; with a leopard scarf, ring, dress and coat (very understated don't you think).
I really hope it warms up!! I get scared every time I feel my hat coming off my head!
Must think of a plan to destroy wind...
