I hate the weather!!
Anyone else who got caught in the rain this afternoon you have my sympathy. I just thank the fashion gods who persuaded me to wear my Mac to keep me dry.
So today’s agenda was to pop in to town and hear Gerald Dickens the great, great grandson of Charles Dickens do a reading of Nicholas Nickleby in Waterstones. My mum and I arrived 20 minutes late (mum's fault not mine) but from where we heard it was very enjoyable and interesting. I even asked a question and it's interesting to see what Gerald would think his great, great grandfather would answer or do. I do enjoy Dickens, but I've only read A Christmas Carol during my GCSES as we had to do an essay on it but; I like it as I can relate to Scrooge in a way (miserable guts I know). Also while I was in town I managed to pick up (all from Primark) a black and white floral blazer, a knee length print skirt and a leopard umbrella. One very happy girl!
To the outfit...
Now my theme for today is 'I can't decide what to wear so I chucked this on' I think it's a very good theme. Of course you're used to most of my outfit but you haven't seen my necklace and the shrug. Now the shrug I've had for ages and it was one of those pieces I couldn't decide about; I noticed quite a lot of people had purchased it but eventually I was in Primark and I just decided to buy it. I hardly wear it but I think it's one of those pieces that you need in your wardrobe, perfect for the summer. I have been on the hunt for a while now for a gold necklace something to wear with all my gold studs. So when I was in Miss Selfridge a while back I noticed this necklace was half price and considering I had been admiring it for a while, I decided to go ahead and purchase it. I love how long it is and the fact that it's an arrow head gives it that edge.
Feels like it's been a busy day when it's been quite relaxing.
I must rest now after my 2 doughnuts! A piggy by nature.
Not a good look...

I'm Gonna Trade This Life For Fortune And Fame...

Dolce & Gabbana S/S 12
One word comes to mind when I look at this collection - bedazzled!
If this doesn't encapsulate Italian style I don't know what does.
I am a huge fan of Dolce & Gabbana, every season their designs get better and better. I loved the A/W 11 star prints, the sequinned dress and bejewelled skirts the classic Italian glamour. This season they have done the exact same thing; from classic vegetable print and black dresses to bejewelled shift dresses and jackets this collection needs to be in my wardrobe nay everyone’s wardrobe.
My personal favourites are looks 2, 4 and 5.
I love the simple elegance of the black dress of look 2; you can just imagine wearing this while channelling classic Sophia Loren in the 1950's. Look 4 is for me the perfect LBBD (Little Bejewelled Black Dress); this dress is so versatile and lady like with the knee length but with the twist of the cut out shoulders and of course the detailing, this dress is simply out of this world. Look 5 I think is the perfect day dress, ok yes it's bejewelled and has fringing at the bottom but I think with the neutral colour it's just perfect for everyday. I also think if you're going to a wedding this dress is still classic and elegant but it has the extra detailing to stand out; (without upstaging the bride).
My overall favourite is look 4 I just think this dress is the perfect dress; I've always wanted a classic LBD but I would settle for a LBBD.
I think I better go check my piggy bank...
(p.s this is my 100th post very exciting!!)

Such a long day today!
As I said yesterday, today was the family's little road trip to Cheltenham.
I never want to get in to another car again, after probably (in total) about 6 hours I don't want to go near one.
Anyway apart from quite a bit of traffic the journey was quite good. The rain kept stopping and starting. I don't know what’s wrong with the weather at the moment; normally April is a really sunny month! It's living up to the April shower stereotype. Not much else happened today it was very much in and out of the car; I did however squeeze in some time on the Wii playing Mario Kart while in Cheltenham which I enjoy.
It's been a very tiring day considering all we did was drop Charlie off.
On a lighter note!
To the outfit...
Now I will apologise for my peeping (odd) slipper socks but they're the only socks I can wear with these boots. While I'm on the subject of these boots; I actually got these last year and I had my eye on them for a while but I kept spending my wages before I could buy them. In the end my mum ended up treating me to these and even though I've only worn them twice (in total); I love them! They're very sturdy and with the outline of fleece they're perfect for winter.
This dress is my favourite summer item. I love teaming it up with a denim jacket in the nice warm weather; but unfortunately due to the showers it was easier to just chuck a jumper over the top. I seem to have a habit of turning my dresses in to skirts through layering.
This outfit was perfect for the day. It kept me warm (cold legs though) and not forgetting how comfortable leggings are especially on a long journey.
I think seen as its still wintery weather I might decide to hibernate.
Probably not a good idea...

Just a quick post today.
Now first I have to talk about the top. So I'm not a Bieleber and I only like the song Baby (hence the post title) but when I was in Primark ages ago I really wanted to get it for a laugh. If you are a Bieleber then good on you I'm just not one of them.
So like I said just a quick one today. I popped in to town with Charlie to run some errands, was literally there for an hour and a half but I did buy a pair of religious studs for a £1! I really like religious jewellery I think it makes such a statement regardless if you are religious or not.
 To the outfit...
I've already explained about the top, which like I said I've had for ages and finally today I decided to put it on and I kinda like it. It's always one of those items you intend to wear and then you end up coming up with something different to wear. This is my lovely Mac from H&M. It is literally my new favourite item, I've worn it a couple of times and it keeps you nice and warm apart from the occasional breeze (but every coat has that). This Mac is something that I held out from buying as it was £29.99; but when H&M had their half price sale not that long ago I managed to get it for £14.99. Either way well worth the money.
Tomorrow is going to be a long day as it includes a road trip to the country.
Guaranteed I will be tired...as always...

Bit of a dodgy photo right here...stupid light!
Anyway hello it's good to be here.
Today I went for an interview for College in September.
Now education and I are not a match made in heaven, but I feel as if it is time for me to rejoin the educational system after a years absence. So as I said before, I went for an interview and it was very informal unlike anything I had been to in the past which I think made it more relaxing. I met two other perspective students and both were very nice people and it was a great way to get to know people, especially in an unexpected situation. After 3 hours I found that I had a place so yay me! And I'm looking forward to a new start and a new experience and the chance to attend university.
Now to the outfit...
Now as it is day 1 of Lita training, I thought I would start off small with my New Look wedges which I have only worn once before (as they killed my feet); but by good fortune I spent most of this afternoon sitting down so I didn't feel the pain as much (yay!!). This shirt I have had for a few months now, unfortunately in the photo you can't see how nice the print is but it is a chain print which of course as you know I'm obsessed with. I think it's becoming my new leopard.
And of course I have complimented the shirt with my usual attire; but I can say this outfit is not waterproof which I now know.
(I do apologise for my formal language but I am watching William Shakespeare's As You Like It, it's influencing me more then I realise.)
I shall now retire and leave thee...
Toodles!!

Good Morning Vietnam!
Ok so it's not morning and I'm not in Vietnam but it seemed appropriate.
I'm in a bit of a mixed mood today. On the plus side I got some good news from the doctor so that's good but on the down side I have a bad back; not nice.
Today I went to the cinema to see The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists which I have to say is a good film, it's funny in places and they have a good storyline and funny characters. Overall I like it and enjoyed it. Also while I was in town I picked up a new pair of sunnies (can never have too many) and a pair of studs from New Look that I have been after for a while, so I'm glad I picked them up plus for £2.99 they're a bargain! Now I have to admit that I have been obsessing over the Jeffrey Campbell Litas for quite some time now; so I had this plan to try them on and if they fitted (cause I have big feet) I would practice walking in heels so one day I may own a pair. Today I popped in to my local Office and low and behold they were there, I literally grabbed them and demanded a size 8. Of course with my bad luck they only had a size 7 but the bloke said they came up big so I thought why not; they did cramp my toes but I think an 8 would be perfect.
Let the practising commence...
Now about the outfit...
This dress is one of my favourite finds. I actually got it a few years ago in Camden when I first started becoming obsessed with vintage. The stall/shop I got it from isn't there anymore but when it was it was quite big and had racks and racks of clothes; it wasn't long till I stumbled upon a floral fitted dress and this one. I tried both on and knew I had to have both but unfortunately this dress was priced as £35; which is a little too pricey even as vintage. Now I should mention I was with my family at the time and my Dad didn't exactly approve, as they left the shop I went to pay and said do you think you could do me a deal (they were originally for the 2 £45); so without second guessing I said £35 and the woman agreed so to you I thank you. I do wear this dress a lot but lately I haven't (I'm too attached to my Warehouse trousers); but I'm glad I dug it out again and of course a sequinned beanie is the perfect partner.
I am now tired and watching about the Titanic (my Mum is a bit obsessed).
I will never go on a cruise! Hopefully...

Oooooo exciting!!!!!
Allow me to elaborate...
There was a recruitment day in town today and I had hardly slept last night, so when my mum asked if I was going to go or not I couldn't decide. It got to about half 10 and my parents were just about to leave when I said give me 20 mins and you can drop me off, half an hour later we eventually left the house and I was in town in no time. I must admit I wasn't nervous at all I think spur of the moment works better on me then waiting but saying that; I got round the first round and now I'm going back on Friday for an audition.
So I'm a mix of emotions today, it took me at least 2 hours to calm my nerves down after the interview and I only muddle my words once which is good!! I'll keep you updated on what happens.
My family and I also popped to IKEA today, where I sat by Snailand and watched Toy Story 3 (I missed Spanish Buzz!)
On to the get up...
Now today my colour scheme was actually intentional (even though you wouldn't of guessed it); but it was a requirement to dress in black for the interview. So I went with my faithful New Look flats which don't kill my feet anymore (touch wood) but I think maybe my persistence is finally paying off.
My top is my favourite black vest top I own it looks flattering whether it's paired up with trousers or a skirt, the last time I wore this top was at London Fashion Weekend (here); plus it was only a fiver which makes it even more amazing. Now you know what I'm like when it comes to hats I always have to wear something on my head, so I decided to be odd (as I always am) and wore my sequin beanie. I honestly don't know what I would do without it. Love a bit of sequin!
It's time to rest my weary eyes...trying to sound smarter...
Not working...

Remember When We Were Such Fools...

Cardigan - Warehouse
Shirt - Vintage
Vest Top (underneath) - Primark
Jeggings - New Look
Shoes - Next
Jewellery - Topshop
Sunnies - New Look
Yay! No hat today!!
I made sure I did something different today so I just clipped a bit of my hair up on both sides, plus even though in the photo I'm wearing sunnies I am in fact wearing make up but after being out for about 6 hours and with 2 hours sleep; it's better if you don't see what I look like.
First off Happy Good Friday!!
Easter is just 2 days away and I'm slightly excited which never happens but it's nice to look forward to something, sadly no Easter eggs for me as I haven't had chocolate for 6 years!!
Now today I headed down to Battle to visit my Nanny M and family. It was a bit of a family event as they were about 12 of us (14 if you include the dogs); I spent most of my time dunking some hoops (is that how you say it?) I have missed my calling in life! I'm actually quite good at it except that I can't catch the ball but throwing is more my forte. It was nice catching up with my Nan she's been a big help lately with trying to keep me sane, so it was good to get some advice.
Now to the outfit...
I wanted to wear my vintage shirt I got a few weeks ago with my brown slipper shoes (as I call them) as I haven't worn them yet; surprisingly they're quite comfortable I'm sure once I start wearing them more they will kill my feet. As you can see the return of my Warehouse chunky cardigan I just love it!! It's so comfy and keeps me snug as a bug in a rug and of course the return of my jeggings; I have not worn this is yonks!! They are a little bit tight on me at the moment but I constantly feel like I'm bloated so I'm blaming it on that; (not the doughnuts).
Now time to curl up and vegetate in front of the TV!!
Typical me...

Five Minutes, Ten Minutes, Now It's Been An Hour...

Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow - Ivory (Believe in me)
Hello Flawless - Ivory
Hervana
Watt's Up
Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow/Liner - Birthday Suit
They're Real Mascara
Lip Plump
Benetinit Lip Balm SPF 15
Silky Finish Lipstick - Cherry Red
Like I promised!!
Here is my pweedy make up that I had done at the Benefit counter at House of Fraser on Friday.
I've been going to Benefit for well over a year now and every time I go I always learn something new; not to mention that their products are so easy to use.
I do have a growing collection of Benefit products and my favourite one to date is the Instant Brow Pencil. I'm really fussy when it comes to my eyebrows and I always hate when they start to get over grown and I can't go get them waxed, so instead I just use the brow pencil to add them all together plus I love having slightly darker eyebrows.
Now I'll just have a little talk about my look in the photo. I said to Inge (she always does my make up) I wanted to do a look around red lipstick because I have one at home and I never know how to use it, so using the new foundation Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow (which is amazing) she set out doing a natural look 'cause of course if you do a bold lip you do a subtle eye. I did ask to look glowy as I think every woman should so Inge used Watt's Up which is a highlighter and is amazing it gives you a champagne glow, not to mention it adds a little sparkle to your complexion.
Now I never use eye shadow it's a definite no no for me because I never can do it right I always put too much or too little on, but there is a solution with the Creamless Cream Eye Shadow/Liner it is genius on a whole new level! It's great for anyone who is a novice like me or even professionals it's just a great product to use.
When it comes to red lipstick I learnt for a softer look for day you can add something like Benetinit Lip Balm SPF 15 for a softer approach and in fact I prefer it, you instantly get Jessica Rabbit lips which I completely love!!
I think through all my rambling what I'm trying to say is you need to start using Benefit. It is the best make up that I have ever used its easy and fool proof; plus it makes you look and feel amazing!!
It's all just amazing!
I say that too much...
B x
*I've not been asked to write about Benefit's products nor am I being paid to do so. I'm simply just a fan of the brand and the products.
