I'm feeling a little blue today!
I think today is one of those rare occasions, where you actually dress to match your mood.  Anyway, you know I love a crop top/high waist jeans combo.  This is another £3 bargain and the colour is lovely for spring.  It's a thin material (which made me freeze - it's not warm anymore), but what I really like is the length which makes it that much more flattering.  I went for my baggier jeans for a more relaxed look.  I threw on my caged sandals, again for a more casual look but also to (to want of a better word) grunge it up a bit.  I chucked on my favourite denim shirt to counteract the fitted top and waist.  It's also really darn comfortable.  I kept the jewellery really simple and gold (as usual) and paired it with a vintage bag.
I do love a bit of comfort!

Don't Bother Me Darlin'...

Back to my monochrome ways!
I needed to wear an outfit that was quite stylish, but still looked like me.  I wear this shirt at least a couple times a week (my mum also has the same one - twinsies).  It's baggy, quite sheer and is really good to wear in this unpredictable weather.  The length is a massive bonus, as I can wear it with shorts underneath and it still looks classy.  I paired it with my faithful jeans and chucked on the coatigan, just in case it was cold (it was the opposite).  These flatforms are a new addition and I am in love!  I do feel a little like a geisha in these.  They are really comfortable and I'm so glad New Look had 20% student discount.  This necklace is a little obnoxious on it's own, but hiding underneath the shirt it gives this outfit a more expensive look.  And finally, I accessorised with a simple vintage bag.
I'm so colourful!

I'm an outfit repeater with a twist!
Yes I'm wearing another all black outfit and yes I know it's warm outside, but it's my signature colour. Again I'm wearing these AMAZING Primark trousers.  They are literally my favourite possession at the moment and already, I've gotten my £8 worth out of them.  I paired them this time with a long sleeved, slightly cropped piece.  This was only £4 (and yes this is the black version to the white one I was wearing here) and it's the perfect layering piece.  I wanted to add oomph to the ensemble with this vintage waistcoat.  I'm still in shock that it was only £2 in the charity shop.  The velvet look gives it a more luxurious feel and I love that it changes colour in the light.  It's a really good piece to add to an all black outfit.  I'm debuting my new sandals today and I'm in love!  Gladiator meets grunge - perfection in a shoe!  They give the outfit the finishing touch and they're comfortable - (again) perfection.  I just added my new Tudor inspired necklace and a plain black bag (practical for Tescos).
Another classic and yet so comfortable outfit!

I am summer lovin'!!
Even when the sun is shining and spring has started to heat up, I still resort to wearing black.  It's a classic colour (or shade).  I bought these trousers from Primark on monday and I have literally worn them everyday since.  They are the perfect loose fit and high waisted, which is perfect for wearing with cropped pieces.  They're a thin material which works really well in the current heat and for £8 - you can't complain!  I chucked on this old crop top for a boxy look to balance out the trousers.  The vintage cover up I've had for months.  The fact that it's completely sheer makes it the best thing to wear in this weather.  The maxi length is really good for layering and of course, the colour goes with everything.  I wore my birkenknots (that's what I call them), for pure comfort.  I added the metallic bag for a little bit of colour and then mixed metals with the necklace.  Sometimes an all black outfit can just look classic and more importantly - it's blooming comfortable!

MORE COLOUR!!
Yes ladies and gentlemen, I am continuing to wear colour.
There's something about the sunshine that brings out the crazy in me and makes me want to wear bright colours.  I found this vintage blazer in a local charity shop at university.  The colour immediately stood out to me.  The pastel blue is perfect for this season and because it's a smaller size, it gives a more fitted look.  The white long sleeve top is a new addition to my collection.  For £4 you can't complain! It's a good basic for layering and also for those slightly colder days.  It's roughly 16 degrees today, so I decided to pair the top half with shorts.  I bought this pair on a whim and I'm rather glad I did.  They're a perfect fit and are made from a nice and airy fabric - perfect for the summer.  I polished off the look with a pair of studded flats and a classic vintage quilted handbag.  I do feel a bit like a CEO in this outfit.
The ice cream was an impulse buy, but I blooming enjoyed it!

I Guess I Forgot I Had A Choice...

It's April!!
In fact, it's the middle of April and I'm rather late with this post - apologies.
Yes, spring has well and truly sprung and the sun has put it's hat on - hip hip hip hooray!  But as it is still April, the weather is still unpredictable.  I already have tanned arms and yet the sky is cloudy - I think the weather is playing an April fools joke.  Now, usually in the spring I enter in to a more colourful wardrobe.  But because of the British weather, I thought I would keep the colour palette rather neutral.  Basics in any wardrobe are the foundation to a successful and stylish wardrobe.  A crisp white shirt, a true blue pair of jeans, a stylish ankle boot - all pieces that should be in our wardrobes and yet they're not.  Although I believe in the philosophy of basics (I own quite a few myself), I also believe in the expression of individuality.  If in your mind, your basics are a vintage floral shirt, a pair of ripped mom jeans and a metallic strappy sandal - then by all means wear all three items.  Clothes are necessary and it's the law that we should wear them, but it doesn't mean we can't break the rules in how we wear them.
Let's express ourselves in our outfits and how we wear them.  And more importantly, let's have fun while doing it!

Please do not adjust your screens - yes there is meant to be that much colour!
As you may have noticed from previous posts, I'm not one for colour.  In fact, colour for me is grey (Mr Grey to be precise - I jest).  But now spring has well and truly sprung and the sun has come out, I thought I would inject a little colour in to my wardrobe.  This shirt I picked up back at home was a bargain, and has the right amount of bagginess and yet still gives me a shape.  The coat was another bargain and is a good neutral coat for spring/summer.  It's quite lightweight which is all over the high street this season.  These trainers had their debut today and I love them!  Even though they were £4 in the New Look sale, the leather look gives them a more luxurious and expensive feel to them.  Add a pair of black jeans and a little backpack and you have the perfect spring cinema outfit.
