Princess Moment

Hat - New Look
Top - ASOS
Skirt - Zara
Shoes - New Look
Bag - Charity Shop (£3.50)
Jewellery - Forever 21

As I'm off to Disneyland Paris next week, this outfit feels incredibly appropriate.
I am a firm believer in everyone having a princess moment.  Whether that is once a year, or everyday, everyone needs to feel like a princess once in a while.
This outfit is case and point.
This look is pink and floral and kinda feels like a year ago, this would have been everything I hated in an outfit.  Fast forward a year and this is what you'll find me wearing every week.  Starting with the top.  This top literally gives me Esmeralda vibes.  I think it's the square neck and the peasant style sleeves.  I picked this up last month, as I was in desperate need of white tops.  I found that most of my shirts or smarter tops were all blue.  This top is great and can be worn tucked in like this, or on it's own.  Isn't this skirt amazing?  I love Zara and when their sale starts, I always go a little bit crazy.  This is actually the first time I've worn this skirt and I'm very disappointed in myself.  The dusky pink base and the dark colours of these flowers, really give this an autumnal feel.  I do think this skirt is going to become a staple for this upcoming season.  To round off the look, I threw on another pair of mules.  These mules I don't wear too often, as last time I wore them in Dubai, they completely destroyed my feet.  But at the end of the day, they are pretty.  For accessories,  I kept it simple with a clear tattoo choker, my 'Chanel' bag and of course, another beret.  I will never stop being obsessed with berets.
Today I'm having a princess moment and next week, everyday will be a princess moment.

Bee and Cat

Hat - ASOS
Jumper - Bershka
Jumpsuit - ASOS
Blazer - Topshop
Shoes - Primark
Jewellery - Gift

This is literally what I wear everyday.
Something that is comfortable.
Something that is baggy.
And something that makes me feel like an overgrown 5 year old.
Again, we see the return of the fluffy white jumper.  All I can say is, you'll be seeing a lot of this jumper as the colder months roll in.  It literally goes with everything and is a great stand alone and layering piece.  This jumpsuit I bought a few months ago and it is officially, the most worn item in my wardrobe.  When I'm stressed and I don't know what to wear, I put this on and I instantly feel put together.  The V neck, polka dot print, wide leg and the peplum, create a jumpsuit that can be worn for any occasion.  To accompany this outfit, I wanted to break up the monochrome a little.  I decided my yellow blazer would look great with this look.  This blazer is the answer to all my dreams.  I saw it in my local Topshop on the 'Last Chance to Buy' rail, but it was a little out of my price range.  A few days later, it was in the sale and much more affordable.  It is a few sizes smaller than my actual dress size, but it creates a really nice and sliming silhouette.  I always advise going smaller in blazers, but just not two sizes smaller.  For shoes, I reached for my mules.  Like I have mentioned in a previous post, my feet hate being constricted and wearing heels.  These mules are a great compromise.  For accessories, I simply went for a simple monogram necklace and of course, another beret.  I'm not really a cat person, but I couldn't resist this beret in the sale a few years ago.
In this outfit, I'm a cross between a bumble bee and a cat.
I like it.

Pyjama Day

Hat - Paris
Dress - Monki
Jumper - Bershka
Shoes - Clarks
Bag - Skinny-dip x Felicity Hayward
Jewellery - Gift

Do I look like I'm wearing my pyjamas?
Because I kinda feel like I am.
This outfit came from imagination, as I wanted to see how I could style this shirt dress in the colder months.  This shirt dress was a whim buy.  I had seen Monki recreate this dress every year and every year I didn't buy it.  So when I was in London last month, I decided to just go for it.  Although I haven't worn it as much as I'd like to, this transition dressing is giving me ideas for future looks.  I'm wearing the same white jumper featured in this previous post.  This jumper just makes me think of Christmas and snow.  Everything magical.  It's a fantastic price and worth picking up.  I was a little stumped when it came to shoes, but again, I like the clunkier look. I thought my loafers would break up the block colouring of the blue and red.  And let's be honest, they are pretty darn comfortable.  For accessories, I of course, chucked on a statement beret and a long necklace.  I chose my 'Lady Luck' bag, as I thought the red against the blue looked really striking.
This outfit does look like nightwear, but if it's comfortable, then who cares!

Parisian Floral.

Dress - H&M
Shoes - Primark
Bag - Charity Shop (£3.50)
Hat - Topshop
Jewellery - Primark

Is it possible to be a Parisian princess, because I think in this outfit, I am one.
How beautiful is this dress?
Details that make this dress beautiful:
. Floral print
. Pleats
. Billowy sleeves
. Red and black colour way
. You can twirl in it
This dress was a spontaneous buy and a pricey one, but it is worth every penny.  I remember trying it on in the fitting rooms and just feeling comfortable in it.  There was sense of home in this dress.  It contains details that I love individually, but together, it just makes this perfection.  It is beautiful and at it's heart, it is a simple dress.  A simple dress that can be worn for any occasion.  I'm going to find it hard to take this off.  Because this dress has such a vibrant print, I wanted to compliment it with the add ons.  My feet hate being constricted by shoes, so I thought mules would be a good compromise.  I've had these all summer and it wasn't until today, that I realised how comfortable they were.  Can I wear mules in winter?  Again, my head is adorned with the same beret.  I honestly believe berets go with everything.  I kept jewellery simple with just a tattoo choker.  To finish off the look, I added my 'Chanel' bag for a classic Parisian chic look.
Am I a Parisian yet?

Double Denim.

Top - New Look
Jeans - ASOS
Jacket - New Look
Shoes - Clarks
Scarf - Charity Shop (£1)
Jewellery - Primark

I love double denim.
I don't mean in a Britney and Justin sort of way, where it's iconic, but also tragic.  I mean in vintage 1940s/50s sort of way.  That was my accidental inspiration for this outfit.  I almost feel like I should be on the 'We Can Do It' poster.
As do most of my outfits, this has a nautical feel to it.  It seems, having a Grandpa who served in the Royal Navy, really does influence your style.  The red and white stripes and balloon sleeves, makes this one of my favourite tops.  I wear it far too often.  These jeans are a new addition, and I love the high waist.  I'm not a skinny jeans kind of girl, so I love finding alternatives.  The dark blue denim makes this so easy to style.  I chucked on my denim jacket as an accident, but I love the contrast between the light and the dark.  With the light wash and the pins I've collected, it almost doesn't look denim.  You could almost mistake it for a different material.  To keep with the vintage theme, I chucked on my loafers for a clunkier look.  I'm a flats girl at heart and these have not left my feet since I got them.  I added the scarf to my hair as my hair really needed washing.  I really like the pop of the blue and the gold, along with the red.  To top of this look, I just chucked on my gold coin necklace, to add to the nautical feel.
It's always fun to be able to play with your style and to change your look.  It proves you can create a vintage look with items from the high street.
In order to find out who we are, we sometimes have to look to the past - especially in style.

Parisian Polka.

Top - Charity Shop (£3)
Skirt - New Look
Coat - Charity Shop (£15)
Shoes - Clarks
Bag - Fiorello
Hat - Topshop
Jewellery - Monki

I will never stop dressing like a Parisian.
If this outfit has taught me anything, it is to embrace my curves.  I don't tend to wear things that show off my curves and my body shape, although there are a few exceptions to the rule.  But there is something about this skirt that I could not resist.  The silk inspired material is not always the most flattering, but it gives you the confidence to style it to the max.  The asymmetric hemline and the slits, give it a fun and feminine feel.  With the movement of the skirt and the freedom of the material, it gives you the ability to find a way of feeling confident in the garment.  Although this skirt may not be a wardrobe statement for me, I'm proud that I was able to wear something figure hugging as this skirt, and still feel able to wear it.
To the rest of the outfit.
To take this ensemble to the Parisian max, I added and tied up a polka dot shirt.  I am completely obsessed with polka dots, it is actually becoming unhealthy.  It's just the easiest, and to me, the funniest print.  For added warmth, I thought my shearling coat would be more practical at the train station at 8am.  This is a new addition from the charity shop, and it ticks all the boxes for this upcoming season.  To finish off the look, I added perspex earrings, my favourite beret and a simple pair of heels.  As I wanted this to be a workwear inspired look, I finished off the look with my 'grown up' bag from Fiorelli.
If you take anything away from this post, let it be these words of wisdom:
- If in doubt, dress like a Parisian.
- Wear what you like.  If you feel comfortable, then that is all that matters.
