This dress was a spontaneous buy and a pricey one, but it is worth every penny.  I remember trying it on in the fitting rooms and just feeling comfortable in it.  There was sense of home in this dress.  It contains details that I love individually, but together, it just makes this perfection.  It is beautiful and at it's heart, it is a simple dress.  A simple dress that can be worn for any occasion.  I'm going to find it hard to take this off.  Because this dress has such a vibrant print, I wanted to compliment it with the add ons.  My feet hate being constricted by shoes, so I thought mules would be a good compromise.  I've had these all summer and it wasn't until today, that I realised how comfortable they were.  Can I wear mules in winter?  Again, my head is adorned with the same beret.  I honestly believe berets go with everything.  I kept jewellery simple with just a tattoo choker.  To finish off the look, I added my 'Chanel' bag for a classic Parisian chic look.

I love double denim.

I don't mean in a Britney and Justin sort of way, where it's iconic, but also tragic.  I mean in vintage 1940s/50s sort of way.  That was my accidental inspiration for this outfit.  I almost feel like I should be on the 'We Can Do It' poster.

As do most of my outfits, this has a nautical feel to it.  It seems, having a Grandpa who served in the Royal Navy, really does influence your style.  The red and white stripes and balloon sleeves, makes this one of my favourite tops.  I wear it far too often.  These jeans are a new addition, and I love the high waist.  I'm not a skinny jeans kind of girl, so I love finding alternatives.  The dark blue denim makes this so easy to style.  I chucked on my denim jacket as an accident, but I love the contrast between the light and the dark.  With the light wash and the pins I've collected, it almost doesn't look denim.  You could almost mistake it for a different material.  To keep with the vintage theme, I chucked on my loafers for a clunkier look.  I'm a flats girl at heart and these have not left my feet since I got them.  I added the scarf to my hair as my hair really needed washing.  I really like the pop of the blue and the gold, along with the red.  To top of this look, I just chucked on my gold coin necklace, to add to the nautical feel. 

 It's always fun to be able to play with your style and to change your look.  It proves you can create a vintage look with items from the high street.

In order to find out who we are, we sometimes have to look to the past - especially in style.

I will never stop dressing like a Parisian.

If this outfit has taught me anything, it is to embrace my curves.  I don't tend to wear things that show off my curves and my body shape, although there are a few exceptions to the rule.  But there is something about this skirt that I could not resist.  The silk inspired material is not always the most flattering, but it gives you the confidence to style it to the max.  The asymmetric hemline and the slits, give it a fun and feminine feel.  With the movement of the skirt and the freedom of the material, it gives you the ability to find a way of feeling confident in the garment.  Although this skirt may not be a wardrobe statement for me, I'm proud that I was able to wear something figure hugging as this skirt, and still feel able to wear it.

To the rest of the outfit.

To take this ensemble to the Parisian max, I added and tied up a polka dot shirt.  I am completely obsessed with polka dots, it is actually becoming unhealthy.  It's just the easiest, and to me, the funniest print.  For added warmth, I thought my shearling coat would be more practical at the train station at 8am.  This is a new addition from the charity shop, and it ticks all the boxes for this upcoming season.  To finish off the look, I added perspex earrings, my favourite beret and a simple pair of heels.  As I wanted this to be a workwear inspired look, I finished off the look with my 'grown up' bag from Fiorelli.

If you take anything away from this post, let it be these words of wisdom:

- If in doubt, dress like a Parisian.

- Wear what you like.  If you feel comfortable, then that is all that matters.

That is probably what you're thinking and I'm inclined to agree with you.

I didn't think I would be the person to jump on to the vinyl trend bandwagon, but I've just taken my seat and it feels good.  I did want to try out this trend, but I didn't want to pay a lot of money and not wear it.  This particular skirt was a steal at £12 from Primark.  It's really flattering and it can be worn either way, (for instance, I'm actually wearing it back to front).  I did wish that it was longer and I do regret not sizing up.  But if you intend on standing for hours on end and making no sudden movements - this is the skirt for you.  I decided to team this with a cropped white fluffy jumper.  Jumper season is well and truly upon us and I am very excited.  Nothing quite beats snuggling in to a big fluffy jumper.  I threw on my new jacket/blazer from the charity shop.  Again, I wanted to try out the check trend, but I knew that grey was not an option for me.  I was very excited when I found this in the charity shop for only a fiver.  It is oversized and the shoulder pads are HUGE, but once I take them out, I think this will be a wardrobe staple for the season.  I topped off the look with these Chloe inspired studded shoes.  The star studding gives a nod to the western trend, that is showing itself for the upcoming seasons.  I added this checkered hat, which I love but I don't really know if it suits me.  I'll let you be the judge of that.  The cherry earrings and clear choker are a must for this ensemble.  I've been after a pair of cherry earrings since before s/s started, and now finally, ASOS has made all my dreams come true.

This outfit was completely spur of the moment, but I do love the sixties mod vibes, but adding the eighties, with the shoulder pads.

I feel like Elle Woods in this outfit.

All I need now is Bruiser Woods and I'll be happy.

Firstly, before I talk about this outfit, I want to just say one thing.  Please ignore the roll where I didn't pull the jumper down properly.  I didn't realise until much later, so please do ignore that.

Anyway.

This pink ensemble was born out of the imagination of my sister.  While planning our Disneyland outfits, Charlie caught sight of this top and skirt and insisted I'd wear them together - so I did.  This fluffy jumper style top is a new addition from Zara.  It is the perfect amount of fluffy and the pale colour is amazing.  I teamed it with my trusty pleather skirt, which I love wearing when the weather gets colder.  It just adds oomph to any outfit.  I teamed it with a pair of tights and these chunky embellished shoes.  Fun fact about these shoes, I bought this for a fiver from the charity shop.  This was months after I had nearly bought them on ASOS for four times the price.  They are surprisingly comfy and the embellishment is a fun aspect.  I thought I would round off this outfit with a pair of jewelled earrings and my 'Chanel' bag.

The 'cherry on top' aspect of this outfit, is this BEAUTIFUL and incredibly fluffy coat from H&M.  This coat gave me so much trouble, and that's before I even owned it.  It was on of those pieces that I had seen advertised and knew I needed it.  When I finally found it online, it was completely sold out.  None of the shops around me stocked it and I thought that was it.  While away for the weekend, I had noticed it had come back in stock in my size.  I quickly ordered it, but unfortunately, a few hours later I got an email informing me that my order was cancelled.  I kept an eye on it, until one day it came back in stock.  I ordered it and a few days later, this dream coat was mine.  It weighs an absolute ton, but it is indeed, fantastic.

Moral of the story - don't give up on your fashion dreams!

I think this also confirms that I am addicted to pink.

Hello there, long time no see!

It has been a year and a half since I last posted on here.

How fast time flies and yet it feels like it's been longer!!

I spontaneously decided today to pop back and show you what I have been wearing lately.

I just want to have a minutes appreciation for this jumper - isn't it amazing?

I had to hunt down this jumper in London and it's the best thing I have ever done.

This is a fabulous knit, from the big roll neck to the glitter throughout.  It's a longline design, so it would work perfectly as a dress, as well as a jumper.  I rolled up the jumper in the last photo, to show the different ways it can be worn.  I decided to team it with a new pair of high waist culotte jeans from ASOS, which I love.  The blue denim colour and the vintage high waist, is the best combination.  To top off the ensemble, I popped on one of my signature berets that I picked up in the sale last autumn/winter.  I finished off the look with my metallic gold mules, and although they look good, they are so uncomfortable.

This is just an everyday casual outfit for me.  

The best part, is that you can easily wear this as a Christmas outfit.

Hi there!

Well it has been seven months since we last met.

How are you?

This is what I wore yesterday for my last lecture of second year!

I honestly don't know where the time has gone!!

I always dress up for uni, so I wanted to dress a little bit more casual, but ultimately - more like me.  

I really like the 90s/sports look of this outfit.

I went for a simple slogan t-shirt, which is actually Saved by the Bell.  It definitely gives an americana influence.  I went for a simple dungaree dress, as I love a bit of denim.  The mini length just gives it a fun factor.  I wanted comfort, so I put on my new trainers.  But to jazz it up a little, I put on some funky but colour coordinated socks.  I added a choker, as I honestly wear them everyday.  They are the perfect understated accessory.  I finished off the look with my Love Moschino bag, which I'm trying to prove to my mum that I do actually use.  Plus, isn't it just absolutely beautiful!

A comfortable outfit for a 25 minute lecture.
