Hey Guys!!

As you know the fashion weeks have begun, which can only mean on thing - MAJOR INSPIRATION!!

I look forward to these four fashion fuelled weeks every February and September; purely for some idea how to make my wardrobe more interesting. Every season new collections appear whether they're classic like Burberry, innovative like Alexander Wang or damn right amazing just like Dolce & Gabbana (LOVE THEM). Now when it comes to my favourite season I would always say A/W; but I'm kinda biased as my birthday is in October. There's something magical about autumn - the leaves start to turn brown, the air gets cooler, the days begin to get shorter but you can still enjoy the night. I completely adore autumn and these collections do help. 

Right...

If I could imagine my dream gowns or even gowns I would wear just popping out to the shops, (yes I would) these would be it. Now I think Oscar has some explaining to do, because I swear these dresses have been in some of my dreams. I don’t know what it is about this man; but he knows exactly how a woman should dress and how it makes her feel. Each of these gowns are unique and beautiful in their own individual way (these aren't even all of them). I’m in love with all six of these from sheer to feathers to tapestry and then ornate detailing. They're perfect for any occasion and for any woman. Trust me if you walked in to a room wearing one of these, people are going to take notice. I do have a favourite (as you guys always know) and I think it's pretty clear which one it is. Yes it is the gown in the last picture - the royal blue ornate gown. I think everything about this dress SCREAMS princess. I know that if I were lucky enough to wear it I would feel just like royalty. I'd expect to find something like this in the film 'Mirror Mirror' or in the TV series 'Once Upon a Time'. It is truly a dress made for a princess. I first saw this dress on Rachel Zoe's Instagram and knew I had to have a good look at this dress. And now that I have I am completely smitten. The royal blue colour is the perfect background for the silver ornate detailing down the front. With wintery leaves covering the bodice and growing down the skirt, it is truly a winter’s dream gown. My favourite part is the 18th century aristocratic riders on their horses. It truly gives this gown an old fashioned vintage feel to it. The off the shoulder look lines the gown well and gives it a sense of proportion. I truly love this gown (I think I've said that enough times already). I just hope whoever the person is who gets to wear it, truly appreciates the sheer beauty and detailing of the gown.

Hey all!!

I feel in a daze right now.

I'm kinda feeling the same as I did before I had my virus thing; so I'm slightly worried but I think it's just me.

Something odd happened to me today.

I lost my skull ring!!

Yes my faithful Topshop one!!

I'm wearing it in this outfit, but as I was changing in to my jammies I lost it.

It was literally sitting on my bed and then like magic it was gone!

I know it sounds weird and strange; but I'm sure there's a plausible explanation for it.

Anyway...

Just a really quick post today!!

This was me earlier today after I ran some errands.

First off I apologise for not wearing any make up (again); as I was only popping up the road I thought there was no point. I woke up at 11 something and decided I wanted to pop out, as my Dad had the day off and we sometimes get on each others nerves. It literally took me 4 attempts to get ready, as Lilly kept barking and was freaking me out. Eventually I managed to get dressed and left the house. I headed up the road to my local Sainsburys (the mini ones); for bread rolls (weird I know). I picked up some doughnuts (yay), bread rolls, a little notebook, 2 creme eggs (for my Dad) and Company Magazine. A really boring trip but made slightly exciting by Spotify. I've finally signed up to Spotify Premium, which I've been meaning to do for ages but never got round to it. I made a playlist yesterday of all my favourite songs (mainly pop); including old school ones from when I was young. Let’s just say when Five came on I had a big smile on my face. I've enjoyed my doughnuts and my bread rolls (I'm such a pig); no wonder I'm feeling odd.

To the outfit...

Ok so first off I have a new obsession which includes a song and a film. The thing is I've never actually seen the film; but I've been meaning to so this all seems odd. Everything is odd today!! Yes my new obsession is 'The Breakfast Club' and I haven't seen it. Why?? I have no idea!! I've been listening to the iconic Simple Minds song Don't You (Forget About Me) on repeat. So on Saturday (as my mood was going down) my Mum picked up a sweatshirt of epic proportion. Yes she picked up a sweatshirt with 'The Breakfast Club' on it!! Yayayay!! How awesome is that?? Initially the sweatshirt was meant for my Mum but we've now agreed to share it. I love this sweatshirt not only is it black, white and grey; but it's just generally awesome (do I keep saying that). It's quite long on the sleeves and in length which is perfect for me. The bagginess is just the right amount but there is no way that it's an XL, considering my hoody is an L and it's the same. I think the best part is that it was only a fiver!! Thank you Primark.

I'm sorry this post is only short but I'm so boring at the moment. I'm still in a funk from the bad couple of days and I just feel out of it. 

I'm hoping things will get better and I'm sure they will.

Felt Like Love Struck Me In The Night...

Things I Love - February!!

Hey All!!

I've had the worst couple of days of my life!!

Now I know I'm prone to exaggeration but honestly these past few days have really tested me. Now I know that these events have literally broken me and pushed me to the limit; but I think I'm going to come out on the other side. Now even though I did go to work on Sunday and yesterday, I was literally too tired and drained to take photo outfits (sorry). So I thought I would do the 'Things I Love' post today as something different.

Let's get to it...

I think if you've been reading my blog for over a week you will definitely recognise this jumper. Yes this is the black New Look jumper that I have not stopped wearing!! I've literally worn this Sunday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday - this is the most I've worn an item in the space of a week. I think it's safe to say that I am not only in love; but obsessed with this chunky knit. Considering I've only had this for a week, I honestly don't remember a time when I didn't. How is that possible?? I wanted to purchase a chunky knit without paying the Topshop or Miss Selfridge prices. The saying 'when you're not looking for it, you'll find it' is so true in this case. Causally one day I was browsing the New Look website when I stumbled upon this jumper. I think I had a heart attack or something; because I was not expecting to see a jumper like this for £20. I didn't get it then because as usual I had spent my earnings on frivolous stuff. I kept it saved on my favourites just in case; but I literally just kept forgetting. I even saw it in my local store but again I had been naughty and decided not to get it. When Charlie and I went to Tunbridge Wells, I made a point of hunting this down and buying it. I will say their New Look is so small and this jumper was right in the corner. I did have a moment where I thought they didn't have my size, but the fashion gods were smiling down on me and they did. I nearly got an 18 but it would have been too baggy, as the 16 is baggy but it still has shape to it. I love this jumper it just seems to go with everything. My new obsession at the moment is layering and especially in this weather it's a good look. The collection of shirts I have has grown to a sufficient amount, so I will apologise now if you see this jumper more then you should. 

I just think it's appropriate that, the first official outing this jumper got was paired up with last months 'Things I Love' my Romwe leggings.

It really proves that you find the best items in the unlikeliest places.

Everybody Move Your Feet, Get Up And Feel The Beat...

Hey guys!!

Yes it's Sunday again!!

I had a really bad day today at work and I know I usually say that but today was bad.

Let's just say I have cried more today then I've done in a space of 6 months.

Not good!!

I do have work tomorrow so I'm hoping things will be better.

 I'll just have to remember to smile!!

Anyway...

I've had an interesting week from my first day at Oasis, to spending a day in London with Leah and then HERMIT TIME!! Rounding the week off with doughnuts, personal shopper and unfortunately a bad shift at work.

I'm hoping this week will be a better week; but it definitely won't be an easier one. I'm going to be just as busy as I was this week - let's just say I'm counting down to Thursday.

Right now on to the task in hand!!

After the long and horrible shift picking a theme/artist was the last thing on my mind. Today has been an absolute tragedy and I don't know how I got through it. I swear I was waiting for Johnny Depp to rescue me so he could say, say you'll be mine.

Yes my theme/artist today is STEPS!!

Steps are a HUGE part of my childhood years; in fact I actually saw them twice in concert. I even used to have a crush on Lee (that was before my love for Duncan James). Steps made the 90s/early noughties the best years for pop music. I love Five and S Club 7 but nothing beats a good old bit of Steps. Whether its school discos, weddings or good old fashioned parties you need some good old cheesy music. Learning the dance routines to 'Say You'll be Mine', 'Better Best Forgotten' and 'Tragedy' were essential. I have so many favourite songs from the early years and I'm glad they reformed; but it'll never be the same as the beginning. Claire, H, Lisa, Faye and Lee knew how to entertain a crowd and to sing songs that we'll be singing for years to come.

Well I certainly will!!

Just a quick post today!!

This was me earlier today after popping to town with my Mum and Charlie.

Now first off I hate going out on a Saturday, the crowds, the hecticness (is that even a word) and the general chaos of it all. I especially hated going out today as all the happy people were buying Valentines Day presents. I want to kill them all!! I even threatened my mum just in case she was planning on getting my Dad something. I absolutely LOATHE Valentines Day!! I honestly think it's the most useless holiday of the year. I really don't see the point of it. All the happy people become smug and all the sad people become depressed - NO WIN SITUATION!! This is why I think it should be banished and cancelled and NEVER EVER EVER EVER (an infinity of EVERS later) EVER be celebrated again. Anyway...let's just say I was on the edge. Charlie was being a bit of a dying swan (she wasn't very well bless her); so we went to Giardinos for lunch and we just had fancy sandwiches. It was predominantly me and Mum so we were having a nice chat about everything. We then headed to Debenhams (yes 3 days in a row and no I'm not happy); where Charlie had an appointment with the personal shopper. My family are big personal shopper lovers, whether it's a party, a ball or a graduation we all descend to the personal shopper. I have personally never been as I have no where to go to - fun times!! Thankfully it was Lesley our favourite who always lets me help pick dresses with her. As soon as we got there we had a quick chat about what Charlie wanted and then we went straight out to find dresses. I usually like this bit, but unfortunately finding a dress now is the worst time of year to do it in. After a bit of trouble Lesley and I managed to find a few, so we took those to show Charlie and then I went on to have a look downstairs. I literally found 2 dresses and one from upstairs (not good). Long story short Charlie ended up going for an Ossie Clarke London dress, which just happened to be the first dress she tried on. It looks so pretty on her and its nice because she would never have chosen it herself. I was there so she could abuse my discount (I know when I'm loved); and then we headed out. I stopped and had a chat with Emily who used to work Sundays, so it was nice to have a little bit of catch up. The first thing she mentioned was my hair - is it really that blonde?? Our last stop was Primark where I picked up a mock denim skater skirt, a Frankenstein t-shirt and a The Breakfast Club jumper (Mum and I are sharing). I did have a panic attack when we came out of Primark. I honestly haven’t had one in years but I just broke down. Definitely going to stay out of town on a Saturday.

To the outfit...

Yes the jumper is back again!!

I can't help it this jumper just goes with everything. I honestly have worn this everyday since I got it (well apart from Monday); but I've been wearing this necklace non stop. I don't know what it is about the combination of black and gold that I love. It's probably why they're both my favourite colours. I wanted to give this rather noir ensemble a bit of colour, so of course I had to inject some print in to it. Now I'm not a huge print or colour fan; but I do love myself a bit of leopard print. I am obsessed with leopard print!! I don't think I'm as bad as I used to be; but I'm definitely as addicted as I was. I just love the difference of the leopard collar against the black jumper. You can see the shirt popping out of the back (high low hem); which has a little peek-a-boo effect to it. I will definitely be layering up more in the future; in fact I'm doing a black shirt/jumper combo for work tomorrow. Am I obsessed with this now?? Maybe...

Honestly I think this is the quickest I've ever done a blog post!!

We are in to the second month of the New Year - how has that happened??

Is it just me or has the time gone quick??

It's just a shame that we still have the bitter cold of January still looming over us (spring get here now). So I thought I would include photos of how to be cosy, yet stylish during this chilly February. Whether it's a oversized cardigan, chunky knit jumper, faux fur coat or even a combination of all three, I think this February (now that the 2013's A/W fashion weeks have started) could be the most stylish yet.

Hey Everyone!!

Hope you are all good!!

I am unfortunately knackered!!

The tiredness has finally caught up with me so I'm sooooooooo tired.

I did sleep till gone 12pm which means I'm back to normal.

I feel as if I need a bit of hermit time.

Yes HERMIT TIME!!

Shame it can't last...SUCKS!!

I keep finding at the moment when I wake up I always have a headache!!

Am I the only one??

Anyway...

This was me yesterday after spending a day in London with Leah.

So like I said I went to London with Leah for the day. I haven't seen Leah since November so it was about time we had time to catch up. We organised a day and a time to meet up, (which got put back an hour - we were both sleepy). I said to Leah that it was up to her where we go and what we do, I was quite happy just tagging along and spending time with her (corny). We headed to Victoria and then on to Covent Garden (we did miss our stop and had to go back again). This is the point where I mention how cool it is that you go in lifts at Covent Garden. That might not sound cool but it's the only way to get up to street level; I felt as if we were all queuing up for a ride. My excitement grew when we were standing right at the front, (I was waiting for Willy Wonka to jump out and the lift turn to glass). After coming out of the station we headed to Rokit, which I didn't realise was there until a couple of months ago. I think Leah and I spent about 20 minutes walking around; but eventually we left and headed to Urban Outfitters. One of the goals of yesterday was for Leah to hand out her CV, so I was being a good friend by pointing out any vacancies. In UO I think I fell in love with half of the vintage and all of the t-shirts (both men’s and women’s). After that we headed to this massive art shop called London Graphic Centre, which I had no idea existed. I'm not the most artistic person on the planet, so I was literally bombarding Leah with questions about what all these things were. My favourite item I saw was a set of Alber Elbaz's set of Lanvin colour pencils; they were I think £400+ but they're Lanvin so I loved them. I did get a bit happy with the polystyrene balls - they were funny!! I did meet my French husband who made both Leah and I swoon. Honestly I think we spent about an hour in there maybe a little bit less. I kept touching everything and mucking about; but you know I don't take anything seriously (within reason). We then headed to American Apparel (yes I drooled over the disco pants again), Mango and Dr Martens (why do I never wear them when I go in). The station was calling us again and we headed to Camden town!! I haven't been to Camden in what feels like years (actually I think it has been years). We looked round a couple of vintage shops and got lost at one point; but thankfully I knew where I was going so I got us out. Oh and OMG Berty & Gerty aren't there anymore!! I was like 'WHHHAAATTTT!!!!' Let's just say ASOS Marketplace is going to get a lot of money out of me from now on. As much as I love going to Camden and looking through everything I don't have the patience for it. I much prefer going online and buying stuff on there, and I know it takes the fun out of it but I'm lazy. After walking around Camden for a bit Leah remembered she wanted to buy a book. So I thought we could head over to Charing Cross and to the Waterstones there. It's quite funny how I'm currently reading The Night Circus - Erin Morgenstern and that's the book Leah wants to read. It sometimes scares me how much we have in common. So we hopped on the Underground and headed to Waterstones. It was quite good because they had a buy one get one half price deal, so Leah picked up The Night Circus and another book and I picked up The Perks of Being a Wallflower - Stephen Chbosky and MI6: Life and Death in the British Secret Service - Gordon Corera. After spending ages wandering round all the various books and singing along to the music, (yes there was someone behind me and I didn't realise) we headed on home. Thankfully we managed to get the same train but we go off at different stops. Overall it was a really fun enjoyable day and I hope we have many more to come.

To the outfit...

I was up till 12:30am yesterday morning trying to figure this outfit out. I had a sudden urge to wear my denim shirt but didn't know it what way to wear it. So I decided to layer it up with my new chunky knit jumper from New Look. I've been after a black chunky knit jumper for work to layer up with shirts; but I didn't want to pay the Topshop prices for one. A while ago I saw this jumper on the New Look website and I knew I wanted to get it. I kept forgetting as each pay check came and went, until Saturday where I made it my mission to find and buy this jumper. I had to hunt for it but eventually I managed to find it and at £19.99 I think it's such a good price. I first wore it on Sunday for work and I was so cosy in it; that it just made the waiting worth it. You will definitely be seeing this jumper a lot more in the future. I wanted to add some colour to this outfit, so I decided to give my Romwe leggings its first trip out. I love these leggings and I think they're so unique (I did see someone wearing a different design but similar). When they went in to the flash sale I couldn't believe my luck, there more amazing part was that they were only £10.61!! A tenner!! I honestly couldn't believe it so I ordered them without thinking twice. They are a really nice fit but my only problem with them is they kept falling down. I spent most of yesterday pulling them on or having them fall down (well more like roll down). I love them to pieces still and I think I can live with the rolling down.

Leah actually said to me yesterday that I refuse to grow up and this is why she loves me. I'm very juvenile in so many ways but I feel older then my years in various other ways. I like that side of me that loves unicorns, rainbows and believes in magical lands; I sometimes feel sad that I have to live in reality where everything is how it’s supposed to be. I will always have that little kid inside of me, but I think reality is just going to have to get used to me...and I'm going to have to get used to it!!

I've finally finished writing this YAYAYAY!!

You know what that means...HERMIT TIME!!!
