Don't Stop, Never Give Up...

Things I Love - April!!
Jeffrey Campbell Lita Spike Boots (Black/Silver) - £36 / Urban Outfitters

Hey everyone!!
Hope you're all well!!
As you can see again there's a lack of ootd posts, well that's because (in basic terms) I'm being lazy! I have been out with and without make up; but by the time I get home I'm just so tired. I know I'm being terrible; but it's just been an odd time at the moment (when is it not). I'm sure everyone has these moments, so bare with me as we resume transition (ha ha I made a joke).
Anyway...
I have some very exciting news...I FINALLY OWN A PAIR OF JEFFREY CAMPBELL'S!!! I am so excited that I FINALLY own a pair of these bad boys. Ever since I discovered the world of the blogosphere I had seen these shoes everywhere; but had no idea what they were or where you got them from. I must admit I did hunt these shoes down to see what designer they were and what style they were as well. I think I'm almost an expert on Jeffrey Campbell's now. Flash forward two years and at the end of every month, I'm trying to justify spending over a hundred quid on a pair of these. Every month I always find some excuse as to not buy them; but this month I couldn't even think of an excuse. Now my original big purchase this month was my tattoo (a unicorn yayayay); but a trip to Bluewater has changed everything. So like I said I went to Bluewater yesterday with the family for a little outing and wasn't planning on spending any money. I picked up what I wanted to get but a trip to Urban Outfitters changed everything. I suggested to Charlie about popping in there; because of their kooky gifts (it's her friend's birthday this week). I headed to the graphic t-shirts, as I'm in love with their tees I just hate that they're the price that they are. After losing interest I made my way to the shoes and there sitting on top of a mini podium were the loves of my life. I noticed they had a tag on them (which they've never had in the past); so I made a beeline for them and saw on the tag they were £40. I literally went in to shock as the tag also said size 8, but I wasn't sure what they consider a size 8 to be. I picked up one of them and saw 42 on the bottom and I almost died...ok not died but I honestly couldn't believe it. These are the same boots that back in January were £120 and then had gone down to £88 and now £40!! I grabbed them and tried them on immediately and the fitted (which I knew they would). I have never held on to anything tighter in all my life, it's one of those moments when I actually can't believe this is happening. I got some cheeky discount and they became £36 which is completely insane. I was willing to pay £139 and to get them for £36 is just darn right crazy!! They are genuine Jeffrey Campbell's and I'm so FRIGGING happy. For the past two days I have gone in to my room just to stroke and hug them. I know that sounds crazy but I never thought I would ever own a pair - this has not only made my month but my year!! You will definitely see more pairs of JC's in my shoe collection in the future.
If this experience has taught me anything, it's that good things come to those who wait. I'm still on a high about owning a pair of JC's that I don't ever want to come down. I may be being over dramatic but hey I'm a girl and I love shoes - that's life!!
p.s I'm popping to Cheltenham for a few days so I'm going to be absent for a bit, but I will definitely see you guys when I come back!!

When The World Is On Your Shoulders, Just Smile And Let It Go...

Top - Henry Holland @ Debenhams
Skirt - River Island
Tights - Primark
Cardigan - Primark
Shoes - New Look
Jewellery - Forever 21 / Miss Selfridge & New Look

Hey guys!!
HAPPY EASTER!!
Remember me??
I know I've been gone for so long (well a week but feels longer).
I have been very naughty this week...
Pretty much there were days where I got home late...
I was tired...
My internet stopped working...
Sometimes I even forgot!!
So many excuses but honestly there are legit!
It's been a long and odd week if I'm honest.
It started off on Monday, with having a meeting which was meant to make me feel relieved...I didn't!
Then Tuesday I had a 'relaxing' day at home - I was so stressed out it was unreal.
Wednesday I covered a shift at work and I could have screamed!!
Thursday I did some shopping to spend my wages - not so bad.
Friday started off bad but got better as the day went on.
Saturday started off good and then became stressful and then I got a tattoo (number 4).
And that leaves us with today - dyed my roots!!
I'm not trying to moan about my week (I’ve done that already); I'm just showing you why I've been a bit absent. It has been a long and terrible week; but something good has come out of it - I'm happy with my life! You might think that's not a revelation; but for me it is as usually I'm craving something else. I always want to be someone else or look like someone else and even want more then I had; but for the first time ever (even though it's been an odd few weeks) I actually feel happy. I’m happy with my situation (work and personal) which is both comforting and scary. Although I am happy I'm not necessarily contented, but you never know what could happen.
Anyway...
This was me after shopping with Mum and Charlie on Thursday.
Now I wasn't originally meant to go on Thursday; but I kind of invited myself along as I had a dress on hold. By the time my shift came around on Wednesday I had noticed the dress had gone; but the bag that I have wanted for ages had turned up on my till. I immediately hid it behind a rail of clothes and reserved it for myself. When Thursday came around I took my time getting ready, so much so that Charlie had to come and pick me up. We eventually ended up in town as a threesome and headed for some lunch in CaffĂ© Nero. We then headed to Thomas Cook to pay the next instalment on Charlie and mine birthday holiday, (we were born 3 years and 9 days a part). Charlie then had to run off to her eye appointment, so I abandoned Mum in Thomas Cook and headed to River Island. I don't know what it is about our local River Island; but whenever a sale is on the staff goes to pot. They forget everything and add to the chaos of the customers - not good. I reunited with Mum and Charlie and headed to Debenhams to pick up my bag. I was slightly nervous that it wouldn't be there; but thankfully it was and I literally grabbed it quicker then normal people do (I’m weird). While I was there I picked up a maxi dress that I have been after for ages, as the last part of my uniform allowance. Although I'm happy I picked up the dress, I'm happier with the bag as it cost me about £17 something (originally £38 - bargain). We soon headed back to the car as Charlie had to go back to work to pick up her coat. So it was a quick trip in to town and yet we were out for ages!! Oh and we swung by Tesco's for food for me (I'm a piggy); which reminds me - who does their weekly shop on a Thursday?? I don't get it!! The Allen family weekly shop is on a Saturday, so the idea of it being on a Thursday absolutely confuses me. I'm an odd child!!
To the outfit...
So I've had this outfit planned for a while as I liked the idea of the circus top with the skater skirt. Unfortunately I didn't realise how baggy the top would be, nor do I have an appropriate cardigan to match. So I decided to chuck on my new favourite cardigan just for a slouchy effect. I picked this top up from work earlier this year or maybe it was Christmas?? Anyway I've been wanted this top since it was brand new stock and £16. I loved the print of the circus and the glamour of the top itself; unfortunately I couldn't bring myself to pay £16 even with my 20% off. So months later when I was sorting out the H! by Henry Holland sale, I saw this top just hanging there for £5 something and a size 16. I immediately knew it was fate and decided to take it back to the till point until lunch. I couldn't decide if I wanted to get it or not; but I thought it would be silly not to. With my 20% off it was only £4 something which is a complete bargain. Although this top was slightly too baggy for this outfit, I'm delighted that it'll be perfect for layering up with my old faithfuls. You see it does pay to wait until the sale - thank you discount!!
Now you're probably expecting a Sunday Playlist today; but as it was my last post I decided not to. I may do one during the week but if not it'll be back next week. I'm going to be very busy this week (literally out everyday); but I will try and update more then I did this week.
Just in case you're having with drawl symptoms here is my new Movie Tag video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hA1DXo98rU
I shall leave you now but hopefully for not too long.
I promise I will be back!!

What Doesn't Kill You Makes A Fighter...

Hey Guys!!
How are you all??
I'm still feeling stuffed up!!
I'm alright except my nose keeps getting blocked.
Everyday it's blocked...
Won't stop being blocked...
At least the coughing has gone!!
Yep that hasn't happened...
My throat is alright and the achiness has gone.
YAYAYAY!!
I'm slowly getting there!!
Anyway...
I'm back again for the third day running!!
Yayayayay!!
I'm being such a good little blogger this weekend.
I go through phases when I have so many ideas for blog posts and other times I have absolutely none.
Why are ideas so hard to come by??
Not fair!!
Considering I'm so imaginative I can never think of anything!!
Am I losing my touch??
No I can't be...
Can I??
I should stop babbling now!!
Right now on to the task at hand!!
Guess what it's time for...SUNDAY PLAYLIST!!
Yes apparently it is Sunday again and no I don't know how it happened.
You would think I have spent the last seven days trying to think of an artist or a theme...well you'd be wrong!! Instead I seem to forget about the Sunday playlist until the day of (like now for example). I spend seven days a week listening to music and yet I never know what to pick. You would think by now that I would have learnt my lesson - well I haven't!! This is always the time where I run around like a headless chicken, trying to think of an idea to use (except I don't physically run around). This is actually quite a hard decision this week!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO PICK!!
Shall I just get on with it??
Ok I will!!
This week’s theme and artist is something I have literally just come up with!!
(I don't know why I didn't think of this before!!)
Ok so this week’s artist is someone who I've admired for such a long time; but never actually thought of doing a playlist for. I love all her songs and have happily mimed along to them at various moments in my life. I think there is something poignant and yet fun about this artist’s songs, that just makes us want to listen to them. From her humble beginnings to a mega superstar, this artist has remained one of my favourites. With such songs as 'Miss Independent', 'Since U Been Gone' and 'Never Again', this artist has shown us that we can be free and independent. But then with songs as 'Because of You' and 'Behind these Hazel Eyes', we can relate to every word and feel every emotion. This artist knows how to write a song and she certainly knows how to sing it.
Yes this week’s artist is Kelly Clarkson!!
I am a big fan of Kelly and I think she has such a voice on her and she knows how to use it. These songs have had me singing along for years and I'm sure I'll keep singing them. Another thing I love about Kelly is she doesn't care about what she looks like. I hate when people call you fat if you put on a couple of pounds!! That doesn't make you fat it makes you human in my opinion and I like the fact that Kelly doesn't care about that. We all have body issues but to have someone in the limelight embracing their curves, it makes you more comfortable in yourself to embrace your own. I think she's a perfect size and everyone else are a bunch of weirdos for thinking anything else.
                                                             Anyway...
Ladies and gentleman I present Kelly Clarkson!!
Sit back, relax and ENJOY!!

I Want A Fine Perfume, I Want A Blue Corvette...

 Monthly Want - March!!

Hey everyone!!
I'm back for a second day in a row - aren't I a good little blogger!!
It's so weird that I'm having a flashback to last month, when I was having such a busy week as it was half term. Now I've had the quietest week in a while, ok yes I've been ill but still quiet.
Now on to the matter at hand...
Yes it's time for a new Monthly Want!!
These are always the trickiest ones to choose as I lust over so many things. I actually feel that at one point Johnny Depp would be a monthly want...well more like a yearly want. But this month was a bit of a no brainer and I managed to decide quite quickly what I wanted to pick.
Right...
How pretty are these shoes??
Now usually I'm completely against heels, because I can barely walk in them whatever the size of the heel. But there's something about this pair that I really like. I know Zara have been doing the dainty ladylike heel for quite a while now; but 1. They never have my size and 2. I never found a pair I like. I came across these ones in an ELLE supplement and instantly liked them. The neutral white is a good base palette for the shoe; but the silver on the toe of the shoe makes it really stand out. These shoes will go with everything whether it’s a floral dress or a formal suit; they come under any genre and go with various pieces. I think there's a rule about ankle straps and making legs look shorter...blah blah blah. Fair enough but if you can rock an ankle strap then you should rock these shoes. I just want to mention the ankle strap right now because it is simple. Now usually simple isn't a good thing, but for this shoe I think it's the perfect component. I'm not a fan of massive buckles or anything too fussy on a shoe like this, so I think Next have designed this shoe with simple in mind. Yes this is where I mention that these lovely shoes are from Next!! I think Next have an ability to copy the high street or designer shoes; but still put their own spin on it. That's why I never jump on the bandwagon and buy expensive shoes, when I can wait a month or two and then get a cheaper pair from Next. I always invest in pairs of shoes and boots from Next, as I know I will wear them to death and they will last. I think if you want a pair of ladylike shoes that will go with everything and are a complete bargain - get these shoes!! For £28 you are investing in a pair of heels that will last for years.
I think I can honestly say these shoes will end up part of my collection.
Just wish I had them now!!
Like now!!
Right now!!
I hate waiting...
Isn't Easter coming up next week??
YAYAYAY!!

Cardigan - Primark
Shoes - New Look

Hey Guys!!
How are we all??
Good??
YAYAY!!
Now I apologise for being absent for the past few days or so but I have the flu!!
I’ve been signed off from work and I've been a snotty mess.
I'm still a bunged up stuffy mess...
I HATE THE FLU!!!
Thankfully my coughing isn't as bad anymore!!
Yay!!
My nose won't stop running!!
Boo!!
Throat isn't that bad!!
Yay!!
I should stop complaining!!
Yes I might actually stop complaining for once...
Well the main thing is I'm getting better!!
Yay for me!!
Anyway...
I'm going to stop babbling!!
Just a quick post today!!
This was me yesterday when I popped in to town for a meeting/Hobbycraft.
So like I mentioned I went in to town for a meeting but that's all I'm going to mention on that subject. It wasn't a bad meeting and it wasn't a good meeting; but I felt relieved when I came out and now that feeling is gone. Right now I feel as if the meeting never happened; so I guess I'm back to square one. I know I'm being totally cryptic but it's kind of complicated to explain. Next subject - so also yesterday Charlie and I picked Mum up from work and headed to Hobbycraft. (Yes this is how exciting my life has become). As you know Leah is moving to America, so I wanted to make her something to take with her. I'm completely not artistic in anyway shape or form - okay that's probably a lie but I don't shout about it. Leah is such a talented artist (she drew a picture of me and Johnny Depp for my birthday last year); that I wanted to do something artistic for her. I picked up a few things to create something both Leah and I can have (that's the only clue you're getting). I generally love walking up and down the aisles seeing all the various things you can get. I picked up a mini sketchpad just in case my creative juices start flowing while I'm out. We then popped to Sainsbury's afterwards where I threw a strop, because my Mum wouldn't buy me a unicorn. I REFUSE TO GROW UP!! I did pick up an Easter egg for the first time in 7 years!! Allergies - don't ask! Afterwards we headed to John Lewis Home for a bit of a pit stop. I was a bit of a poser in the toilets taking lot's of pictures of my outfit - classy! It was a nice little trip and was nice to get some fresh air.
To the outfit...
I wanted to look really fabulous yesterday and make a bit of a statement. Now you might look at this outfit and think ‘how is that fabulous??’ Well this is the dressed down version of the original outfit, the original had my little wedges and bowler hat. I was planning on handing out CV's so I wanted my outfit to stand out. Yes I know I was head to toe in black; but it's my signature colour so what can I say. I decided to break out my Topshop Peplum Top. I've had this top for absolute ages but I just haven't worn it, so I decided now would be a good time to wear it. I think this top makes my boobs look twice as big and the peplum sometimes makes me look pregnant. I know it sounds like I'm moaning but I actually like this top. It’s a neutral colour and is versatile for any occasion. For a dressed down look I just threw on a beanie and a pair of flats.  My cardigan was the only constant item in this outfit (well apart from the trousers and jewellery). I fall more in love with this cardigan every time I wear it, Charlie wants to wear it but I refuse to let her.
Well that's me done for today!!
I'm sorry it wasn't anything interesting but I've just been a flu filled mess, although I shouldn't be moaning about having HERMIT TIME!!
BTW here is the link to my new Charity Shop Haul video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypyw6FyxFkc&feature=youtu.be
Here's hoping the flu buggers off soon!!

All The Ladies If You Feel Me, Help Me Sing It Now...

Hey all!!
How are we all??
Good??
That's what I like to hear!!
I am still full of cold/flu...
I feel like absolute rubbish!!
My nose keeps running...
I have an annoying cough...
Sore throat...
Often achey...
FUN TIMES!!
I feel like I'm getting picked on at the moment when it comes to my health.
It's not fair!!
WHY ME??
I shouldn't moan really.
What’s that thing they say...
'Someone is always worse of then you!'
Or something like that!!
Anyway...
We all know what day it is and why we're here.
SUNDAY PLAYLIST!!
Yes the one day a week where I have to think of a theme or an artist to be the focus on my playlist.
Now as we all know this isn't always an easy thing for me to do, as sometimes I have too many ideas and sometimes I have absolutely none. I must admit this week I have quite a few ideas; but I don't know which one to pick. Should I pick a theme that is relevant to my life now or maybe one that I've wanted to do for ages?? I'm probably over thinking it like I always do; but hey I'm ill so everything is magnified. There are so many things I could choose from; but if I had to choose we would literally be here for weeks. Maybe I should pick something out of a hat?? But I don't have a hat on me so I'm just going to have to choose!!
Ummmmmmmm........
CHOSEN!!
Right...
Now this week the theme I have chosen is a particular artist, who I have always been a fan of but have not yet, had the chance to single them out. This particular artist has been around for well over 10 years and has inspired not only my generation but even the new generation of kids. From being in a girl band to a solo artist, she has always kept her feistiness and her eye for a darn good song. She is one half of the ultimate hip hop power couple and now with little Blue Ivy, a new generation of hip hop royalty was born.
Yes my artist of the week is Beyonce!!
Even though I knew (and still know) the words to all the Destiny's Child songs; I was never actually a true fan of theirs. Don't get me wrong I do love them and I think their music help defined my childhood; but I was never an actual fan of theirs...sorry. I became a fan of Beyonce's when she released her solo album 'Dangerously in Love'. From iconic songs like 'Crazy in Love' to collaborations with Sean Paul and Usher, Beyonce knows not only what a good song is but how to show that song off to its full advantage. There are many times where you will be absolutely bored and have nothing to do. You decide to put some music on and as soon as you hear that Beyonce song, you just can't stop singing and dancing along.
Ladies and gentlemen I present Beyonce Knowles!!
Sit back, relax and ENJOY!!

'Cause I Think This Could Be More, The Thing I'm Looking For...

Things I Love - March!!
Primark Grey Shawl Cardigan - £8

Hey everyone!!
I'm feeling quite rough today.
No I didn't go on an all nighter last night and got completely off my face!!
I don't even have the stamina for that...
No unfortunately I have a coldy/flu thing which I hate and now I feel like absolute death. Now I know I had a runny nose last week; but after being caught in the snow/hail it's got worse. I now feel achey, runny nose, cough, sore throat - the works!! I have taken medicine but I still feel like crap and it doesn't help that tomorrow is my first day back at work. It's just typical that I'm actually ill when I go back to work - not fair.
Anyway...
Now I know I only bought this cardigan just over a week ago; but I am absolutely in love with it. Just like last months 'Things I Love', I have worn this cardigan on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday since I bought it. I think it's because this is such a versatile piece and even though it's grey, I will literally wear this with everything. The only problem is most of the outfits I have planned are for spring and summer. But oh well I will have to live with just layering it - like that’s a hardship. Another thing I love about this cardigan is it's similarity to the American Apparel Moda Shawl Cardigan. The only difference between the two is the Primark one is a thinner knit then the AA one - oh and the price. The funny thing is I was going to save up and buy the AA one; but when I actually found this cardigan in my size that idea went out the window. This cardigan was a tricky bugger to hunt down, as my local Primark only seemed to cater for stick insects and only had XS (not that there's anything wrong with being a stick insect). I kept going back for at least a month hoping to find this in my size; but alas no luck so I gave up on the idea. When I was in Leeds last week I didn't even think about looking for this item; but when Jaime and I went in to Primark it's all I could focus on. I literally scanned the whole of the knitwear and when I found it I literally ran to it. When I found my size (L just in case you were wondering) I was so happy!! I grabbed it and I think I held on to it a little too tightly. For £8 it was an absolute steal and well worth the money. I apologise again if you see this cardigan a lot; but I honestly can't imagine not wearing this with every outfit (apart from work). I think I've written more about this cardigan then any other item I own.
I may have actually fallen in love with a piece of clothing...nope not creepy at all!!
I think this proves - good things come to those who wait.
