Maybe Fate, Maybe Reason, Made You Fall From The Sky...

Hey guys!!
Hope you're all well!!
It's Sunday!!
Woo!!
For once I'm happy on the Sunday!!
I did have a moment yesterday when I didn't feel like myself - you know what I mean.
Thankfully it was only for a day!!
I've had 4 days at home!!
WOO!!
I did go out 4 days in a row...
Kept me busy!!
I did get sunburn...
BOO!!
But I'm back to work tomorrow - don't mind!!
Anyway...
It's Sunday Playlist time!
YAYAYAYAY!!!
What to pick this week...
I honestly don't know what my theme should be this week!!
WHY IS THIS SO HARD?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Well seen as this a relaxing Sunday afternoon, why not pick some relaxing music??
When I think about relaxing music only one person springs to mind - Melody Gardot!!
I first discovered this artist a few years ago on Michael Ball's BBC Radio 2 Sunday show. I remember hearing the song and going on the BBC Radio 2 website and listening to the show again, just to find out who the song was by. That's when my love for Melody Gardot began. I would go on YouTube and search for every song that she has done, and without fail I would love them all. I especially loved when Sky Arts showed the documentary about Melody and you really got to know the person behind the music. She has such a beautiful voice and puts so much emotion in to her music. If you haven't already listened to Melody Gardot's music, then I suggest you do so now otherwise you are missing out BIG time!!
So here are just a few of my favourite songs of Melody's - I hope you enjoy!!
Sit back, relax and ENJOY!!

It's Been Written In The Scars On Our Hearts...

Top(s) - Primark
Trousers - Oasis
Blazer - Oasis
Shoes - Next
Jewellery - Topshop / River Island / Miss Selfridge / H&M / Gift Shop & New Look
Hey everyone!!
Hope you are all well!!
It is currently 7:36am in the morning and I'm awake!!
Bad dream + burning sunburn = me being awake at this time!
I literally woke up shaking from my nightmare...
I haven't had one in ages!!
I always feel like a kid again when I have nightmares!
Here's hoping I don't have anymore.
Anyway...
That is the reason I am awake at an ungodly hour!!
I'm literally trying to entertain myself with kids TV.
What happened to all the good programmes??
We were so lucky when we were younger!!
We had Johnny Bravo, Arthur, Cow & Chicken, Dexter's Laboratory, Hi 5 (the original), Fun Song Factory, Hotch Potch House etc.
BRING BACK THE CLASSICS!!
Now you're probably wondering 'why don't you go back to sleep??'
Well I shall tell you why...
I CAN'T!!
You see, someone has to go put a ticket in Mildred when the time comes...unfortunately that person is me!!
Soooooooooooooooooooooooo...
Instead of trying to go back to sleep for an hour or two, I have decided to stay awake and do this post instead!!
Let's hope I don't fall asleep half way though!!
Anyway (again)...
Just a quick post today!!
This was me on Monday before my shift at work.
Now I know I said yesterday that there would be no outfit post from this week, but I was having a few problems with getting this picture. Basically when I connected my phone to the laptop it wouldn't come up. So the only way I could do it, was by bluetoothing it over to my Mum's phone and back again to mine. Eventually I got it on to my laptop, but then it wouldn't load up on blogspot - not good!! Anyway I finally have it here, (don't listen to what I said yesterday as here is an outfit photo). As you guys know I don't usually show off my work outfits here; but as I had time to be a poser in front of the camera I thought why not. Also Fas# Tag had retweeted my picture of this outfit, so I think it goes without saying that I needed to show this off. As you guys know I work on Monday's on the Oasis concession of my local Debenhams. I usually do a 4 hour shift which usually feels twice as long; but goes quickly on the odd occasions. If I'm honest I don't really remember much of my shift on Monday - yes it was that uneventful! I do remember having a chat with my work friend, (I'm gonna say she's my friend even if she doesn’t know it). But generally not much happened; but I think it went pretty quickly. Needless to say when I got home I was dead (not literally) and tired!!
To the outfit...
If any of you guys work for a concession or a company out there similar to Oasis, then you will know that I have to wear a uniform. Now usually when we hear the word 'uniform' we all have flashbacks to our school days (bad times). The good thing about this uniform is that it can be pretty and you can wear what you want!! IT'S A MIRACLE!! Unfortunately when I first started at Oasis, I was against the bright colours, prints and general girliness. I am pleased to announce that I have embraced it and I now love all the floral/pretty/bright stuff. So every two months we get to pick a new uniform, (although you are allowed to wear the old one unless it goes in the sale - don't ask). This little ensemble I'm wearing is from both my first and second uniform allowances. The jeggings are from my first lot, I think I literally got these the first day on the job. These Jessie Jeggings are super soft and comfortable and for £28 they're an absolute steal. The best part about them is that I can fit in to a size 14 - MIRACLE!! They come in light denim, dark denim, grey and black; I'm literally on a quest for the black ones (they never have my size). I definitely recommend these as they are amazing. The blazer is from my second lot of uniform. Now the Oasis blazer is kind of essential to a uniform allowance (well in my opinion), so I set my sights on the dark green one. Unfortunately our little concession didn't get that colour in, so I decided on the navy one - they didn't have my size. So eventually I settled on the coral one, which if I'm honest scared me when I first got it. Bright colours are not me at all, I love wearing dark colours as that's my comfort zone. I must admit I have warmed to the coral colour, but matching it with other stuff is sometimes hard but other times it's pretty easy. The fit of the Ponte Jacket (as they call it); is really nice and flexible and has an over sized feel to it. I would definitely recommend this blazer (maybe not the colour); as it will just be the perfect thing to chuck on and is a steal at £40.
I know I started this at 7:36am but it is now 3:32pm (no I haven't been typing all this time - I took a break). I have literally been sleeping on and off while watching Nicktoons - yep the high life!!
Here's hoping that tomorrow is a bit more exciting!!
Well...

Your Head Is Running Wild Again...

Hat - Marks & Spencer
Top - Primark
Leggings - Primark
Shoes - Primark

Hey everyone!!
Are we all enjoying the sunshine??
I certainly have!!
Anyway...
Just a really quick post today!!
Now there is no outfit photo from me, as I have been particularly lazy with the picture taking. I have had quite a busy mid week. Monday I had my usual shift at work (which surprisingly enough I don't remember much of). Tuesday I went out with Leah to Bromley for a recruitment event (I go back on the 9th May), it was a lovely day but after walking 6 miles I had to start stripping. Generally I was not in the appropriate footwear/outfit. Yesterday I was back at work for a gruelling six hour shift, that included a fire alarm that lasted anything from 45 minutes to an hour, mass delivery and my feet absolutely killing me! Overall it was a normal bog standard shift. By the time I got home I was literally on the verge of crying, my feet were absolutely killing me (I have quite a few blisters). What's even worse is that during the 6 mile walk on Tuesday, I had gained a new extra (yet painful) accessory - sunburn!! Yes, I now have sunburn on my cleavage area, which is so frigging painful (won't stop stinging) plus I have a white print where my necklace was. Fun times!! Anyway... Because I have been lazy and too tired to take my outfit photos, I thought I would take a picture of Charlie's outfit. Now I'm usually not a fan of Charlie's style (no effort whatsoever); but this is the one time I was actually impressed with her outfit. If I'm honest I probably gave her the inspiration for the ensemble, but she put this together all on her own. So without further or do...
To the outfit...
I think we are all aware of the trend of the over sized jerseys that Topshop do - if you're not then you've obviously been living under a rock! It's a trend that has taken off just as quickly as the 'Geek' t-shirt did (I was one of those who bought in to that trend). But I think there's the question of 'will the trend last?' Well we only need look at the 'Geek' trend, which lasted the whole of the A/W season last year. Even now there is no doubt a few people out there still wearing their 'Geek' t-shirts (I will be one of them). So if this is true, why spend the £20 if it's only going to last for one season. Now my Mum had this thought (even though she didn't realise what she was doing) and decided to buy us similar jerseys but in Primark. I have decided to wear mine to bed; but as you can see Charlie had other ideas for her jersey. As you can see this outfit is based on the trend of 'Sport Luxe'. It's a trend I have personally always wanted to try, but I tend to stick to what I know best - monochrome. By combining heeled trainers, an over sized jersey and bowler hat, Charlie has created an easy and versatile 'Sport Luxe' look. Here's hoping the jersey trend will last longer then the S/S season.
I apologise for the lack of posts and then a really quick one, I just don't feel like flashing my sunburn off to everyone. But I'm sure normal transmission will resume shortly!!
Until then wish me luck with the sunburn - I'll need it!!

It's A Revolution, I Suppose...

Hey guys!!
How are we all??
Good??
That's what I like to hear!!
It's Sunday!!
Now usually I'm not Sunday's greatest fan, but thankfully that has now changed.
I won't go in to details so instead I'll just say - it's the end of an era.
Anyhoos...
I've had a quiet week this week!!
I’ve spent 4 lovely (full) days and 3 half days at home!!
It's safe to say I've been lazy this week!
(Nothing's changed!)
I do have a busy week ahead of me, so I'm enjoying my time at home today.
I should get on with it...
BABBLING!!
Soooooooooooooooooooooo...
Just a quick one too!!
Right it's time for a...
SUNDAY PLAYLIST!!
YAYAYAY!!
After taking a little break it's now back for the second week in a row.
Now today I want to keep up with an epic theme, except this isn't technically a theme at all. My 'kind of' theme for today is 'New Songs on my Spotify!' Ok it's not the most amazing or original playlist ever; but after waking up at 7 something and with only 4 hours sleep -  imagination isn't working! So as I'm feeling hip and trendy with me new music (I finally feel 'down with the kids'); why not do a playlist that includes all the music. Although these songs are fairly new to me, I'm pretty much obsessed with quite a few of them (well all of them). There is one in particular which is by someone whose name begins with ‘Chris’ and ends in ‘Brown’, and the song begins with 'Fine' and ends in 'China'. I am literally OBSESSED with it!! It's just such a good song and I have listened to it too many times. These songs are ones that a few months ago I wouldn't have listened to; but as my music taste is changing why not listen to some different songs. Don't get me wrong I still love a bit of Tchaikovsky, but I will have to listen to Nicki Minaj afterwards.
Now I hope you guys become obsessed with these songs, just as much as I am!!
Sit back, relax and ENJOY!!

Whatever The Weather, We Gon' Be Better Together...

Monthly Want - April!!

Hey everyone!!
It's Saturday!!
Now usually this is a good thing to most people, unfortunately not so much for me (but we won't get in to that). If you're looking at the date and thinking 'hang on a minute aren't you a bit early?' then you would be right. As you know my 'Monthly Wants' usually appears on the 23rd (my blogs anniversary); but I have a pretty busy week next week so I thought I would do it now. I'm on a roll with updating my blog, so I thought I might as well keep going.
This is the one post that I don't really obsess over; I usually just pick what I want at the time I do this. I think it's better to be spontaneous then to plan everything out (I've learnt that the hard way). So I wanted to pick something that has kind of been on my mind for a while...or perhaps something that was in a dream of mine.
How insane are these shoes??
I remember the first time I saw these on The Style Playlist. Courtney was rocking them in an outfit (well she rocks every outfit) and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. There is something so fabulous about these shoes and also something so completely terrifying. Now as you guys know I'm not usually a fan of heels, I prefer my feet to stay firmly on the ground but I think something is changing. At the moment the only shoes I seem to be attracted to are heels. From chunky to strappy and even a classic court shoe, I'm just loving them all. Now this isn't really a surprise as I am a girl and by default we love shoes; but I'm usually a bag person but it seems not anymore. These UNIF - Hellbounds are a thing of dreams and also nightmares. They are a visually stunning shoe but they also inflict fear upon me. The Hellbounds are certainly an expression of who you are and how you dress. Although they are owned by (probably) half of the bloggers you or I follow, they are still a rarely seen shoe especially over here in England. The Hellbound is not a functioning shoe and let's face it they don't look practical, but we hear evidence to contradict both of those statements. When I hear bloggers talk about how comfortable they are etc, I almost can believe what I'm hearing/seeing. Can a shoe that looks like this really be comfortable?? Well if we think about it, I didn't quite believe that the Jeffrey Campbell Litas would be comfortable. Now as an owner of a pair of Litas I can officially say that they are comfortable and amazing. The thing is they may look as if you could fall over and break your ankle at any moment, but we both know that's not true (well depending on how clumsy you are). There may be a giant heel and platform, but trust me those are two good things as they are going to save your feet. Whether it's with a floral dress, high waisted shorts or disco pants, these shoes will go with absolutely everything. So if you are able to hunt these down and you’re able to walk in them, give me a call and you can teach me!!
This pair of shoes will always be a want of mine.
Let's face it there's no way in hell I'd ever be able to walk in these, maybe that's why they're called Hellbounds…

My Heart Went Oops! I Never Will Forget...

Dolce & Gabbana Men's A/W '13 Collection

Domenico, Stefano - this is one kick ass collection!!
Now I usually lust over the women's Dolce & Gabbana collections every season; but the for the first time ever this season I looked at the men's collection first. As you guys know I am a HUGE fan of Dolce & Gabbana, so I wasn't surprised when I saw how cool this collection was. It's so rare to see a designer who designs a menswear collection that is still sophisticated and smart; but has that added extra deatil. If only I could get my dad to wear this collection, he would be a very stylish man.
Right. Looking at this collection only one word springs to mind - florals! Who would have thought to do a menswear collection with big floral prints?? Oh yeah Dolce & Gabbana would!! It takes a strong and creative team to think of florals for men. Ok we often see them on the odd shirt and tie here and there; but never so prominent as they are here. With velvet or silk as a base for the print it just screams perfection, (honestly I even think the Phantom would wear these). Gentlemen welcome to your new autumn/winter wardrobe (yes that includes you too Dad).
Usually when I do these posts with the women's collections I always pick my favourite pieces; but I think it's safe to say what my favourites are in this collection (I'll give you a hint - they're the pictures above). From velvet floral blazers to silk floral tops, this collection is quintessential Italian style and no one does it better then Domenico and Stefano. With the neutral grey base of a finely tailored pair of trousers, the waistcoat and of course the crisp white shirt; it was a excellent base to build on. They've taken the two basic needs of the men's wardrobe and put their own spin on it. For instance let's look at the coat - a simple piece that was created to keep you warm and dry through the various seasons. A symbol of practicality and durability, the coat has always been a staple in anyone's everyday wardrobe. Every season the coat is updated with various mods and cons, whether it's a bit of pleather, hardware and even fur. Although we have loved each reincarnation, I think as fashion lovers we have always longed for something a little bit more. Finally are prayers have been answered and here is that something a little bit more. A floral coat is the perfect accompaniment to the autumn/winter months, it's something to brighten up those dull, rainy, cold, horrid months. I think a floral coat is a staple every man needs in his wardrobe. Now let's look at the blazer - a simple piece that was created to complete any outfit and to make you look smart. A staple that has come in various colours, materials and patterns and has graced boardroom's, classrooms and magazine covers around the world. With all these choices we've had no choice but to experiment with all the variations of the blazer; but never before have I seen something so perfect and complete - until now. Mixing florals and velevet is simply pure genius in my opinion. Two rich elements brought together on something so basic, that it just completely works. I swear if I don't see the whole of the male population wearing this, then I'm going to have to do it for them (and no it won't be any hardship).
It would seem no matter what your gender is, Dolce & Gabbana will always have something for you.
Domenico, Stefano my love for you grows even more!!
Right - now I need to convince my Dad to wear florals and velvet...wish me luck!!

I Got Class Like A '57 Cadillac...

Top - Charity Shop
Trousers - Warehouse
Shoes - New Look
Jewellery - Miss Selfridge & Forever 21
Hey everyone!!
Are we all enjoying the week so far??
I'm have a lovely quiet week in apart from popping out today.
Anyway...
So just a really quick post today!!
This was me earlier today after the doctors and Sainsbury's.
Firstly how do we like the new picture layout??
You see I wasn't wearing any make up today because I just popped to the doctors, (no I'm not ill it's a long story) and then I headed to Sainsbury's to pick up rations. No I didn't pick up doughnuts I'm just not craving them today, I decided to get rolls instead. I literally think bread rolls are the best things since sliced bread - so completely true!! I did also pick up chocolate buttons (2 packets) and some food for lunch. I don't know what it is but whenever I'm in the mini Sainsbury's I always stare at the stationary. That kind of sounds a bit creepy, but I always seem to convince myself that I need another notebook or pen - I really don't!! Can you be addicted to buying stationary?? Probably!! I soon finished and walked home while blasting out my music. Unfortunately one of my headphones is louder then the other, so I'm now deaf in one ear.
To the outfit...
Since I was popping to Sainsbury's, I wanted to dress up more then I usually do when I just go to the docs. Yes I dressed up for Sainsbury's, no it is not that weird!! I had no idea what I was going to wear; but when I saw this top sitting there I thought why not?? I picked this t-shirt up in a charity shop back in December in West Wickham, while out shopping with Mum and Charlie. I found it in St.Christopher's Hospice, which I don't usually go in as it smells like soup (don't ask). I decided to go in just to say we've done them all and I saw they had men's t-shirts for a pound. I picked up a Venice one (which I wore on Christmas Day) and this bad boy here. I couldn't believe it when I found this one, I just immediately thought it was so damn cool!! I'm a petrol head so to find this for £1 was an absolute bargain. I love this t-shirt because it's long and baggy for me and is a good neutral colour. I did chop the sleeves off a week or two ago, but I think it gives it a better shape and doesn't look too big. You will be seeing this a lot more.
I apologise that this is such a quick post but today wasn't very exciting.
I am currently watching Roberto Alagna in Don Carlo, he is literally one of my favourite opera singers and it would be my dream to see him live.
Oh well I'll keep dreaming...
Like I need an excuse!!

The Sky's The Limit You Can Reach Your Goal...

Hey everyone!!
How are we all??
Good??
That's what I like to hear!!
I've had quite a relaxing week this week!!
Makes a change...
I have literally left the house twice!!
TWICE!!
5 beautiful long days at home...
You know what that means...
HERMIT TIME!!
But it's been quite a stressful/interesting week.
I should explain!
I have finally had a revelation!!
I won't tell you what it is (I'm still in the process of assessing it); but I'm happy with the outcome and I'm looking forward to it coming true.
Anyway...
Just a really quick one today!!
I know usually I bore you with endless rubbish chit chat (well more then this); so I thought let's not keep beating around the bush and let's just get on with.
Now the Sunday Playlist has been missing for two weeks now due to hermit time and being away, so I think it's time for the Sunday Playlist to have an epic comeback. This is where I should probably say what I think is epic may not be your cup of tea; but I hope you enjoy it and dance around anyway. Like any other girl I do love songs that I can dance around and sing along to. So I thought maybe I should just do a playlist full of songs that I dance around to at 2am. This playlist is literally songs on repeat on my iPod and Spotify, these songs have given me inspiration at 2am and these songs have kept me going through endless nights of insomnia. I think like anyone else we go through stages where we listen to certain songs to cheer them up - these are those songs to me!!
Sit back, relax and ENJOY!!

The Treasures Are There Within...

Jumper - Red Herring @ Debenhams
Vest Top (underneath) - Primark
Trousers - Warehouse
Shoes - George @ ASDA
Bag - Oasis
Jewellery - Gift / New Look & Gift Shop
Hey everyone!!
It's Friday!!
TGIF!!
The week has gone so quickly!!
I don't like it...
Just a really really quick post today!!
This was me yesterday when Charlie and I went out to lunch.
I was due to run errands in town; but after a long lie in I just couldn't be bothered. So when I came downstairs half asleep and completely out of it, Charlie suggested we go out for lunch - who was I to refuse. We ended up in Bluewater at Giraffe which as you guys know is our usual pit stop. I had the fish and chips which I've wanted to try for absolute ages. It was a good piece of fish and the potato wedges were soooooooo nice!! Charlie had a deli burger which looked really nice as well and she also fell in love with my potato wedges. We did share hummus and flat bread for starters, which I enjoyed as it's been a long time since I've had hummus. One of our main reasons for going to Giraffe was for the deserts. Clearly I chose the sorbet as it's my absolute fav and Charlie had the crumble. Both deserts were enjoyed although mine was soooo cold; but I think I would be complaining if it wasn't. I managed to run a couple of errands while we were there and picked up some doughnuts (yay). It was a nice couple of hours and although we were in a rush on the way home and there was a little mishap, it was still a nice little trip.
To the outfit...
Now don't ask why but I had the urge to wear my fluffy jumper yesterday. I was originally going to wear my signature dark colours and motif t-shirt; but for some reason the urge to wear a pink fluffy jumper just appeared. Originally I wanted to wear it with my disco pants, but after deciding it would clash too much I just went for my old faithfuls. Now I do have something new to show you here and that is my new Nude Patent Ballerina Shoes. I picked these up a couple of weeks ago in ASDA while there on a food shopping trip. I needed a pair of shoes to go with my new uniform for Oasis, so I thought I would have a look at the ballet pumps. I honestly didn't think I would find a pair of size 9's as they're still pretty rare; but thankfully I saw these and I fell in love. When they fitted I couldn't quite believe it, I'd always wanted a pair of nude flats but had never found a pair I liked in my size. They are patent which usually I'm not a fan of, but because they were nude, they fitted and they were £7 I wasn't complaining. The other surprising factor with these shoes is that they are really comfy. I can do a 4 hour shift in these and my feet are not screaming and shouting by the end of it. I definitely recommend these to anyone as there perfect for all occasions.
Sorry it's a really quick post but my day wasn't that eventful really.
I'm currently watching 'The Spongebob Squarepants Movie' as there is nothing else on TV – FUN TIMES!!
I think it's time to pig out...
I like that idea!!

Hey everyone!!
It's Tuesday!!
Yay!!
No I don't know what's so exciting about Tuesday either...
Well at least its better then Monday right??
Well to me it is!!
Now I apologise again if I look weird in this photo.
I had to put my hair up as I was BOILING on the journey home.
I honestly can't have my hair down!!
I really don't like it!!
Anyway...
I'm going off topic...
Yes I seem to be babbling again!!
I can't help it!!
Shall I just get on with it??
Yeah I think so too!!
Just a quick post today!!
This was me on Saturday after coming home from Cheltenham with Charlie.
Now after a decent (well somewhat decent) nights sleep, I woke up more awake (I couldn't think of a better word) then Charlie. I got up fairly straight away and got dressed ready for breakfast (I had not bothered the previous morning). The best part about the breakfast is that it's called a 'breakfast buffet', now I don't know about you but I get excited by the word buffet (piggy over here). I had two bread rolls (I'm obsessed) and a big helping of scrambled egg (too peppery though); not to mention the two classes of apple juice - I felt like a rebel. We went back to the room and finished off getting ready and then started our journey home. We first stopped off at the Whole Foods Market, which to me is wheat-free heaven. Although I did get some of their nice ciabatta bread, their full range of wheat-free products was exciting me a bit too much. I also picked up some watermelon (so nice and fresh) and a healthy salad (pricey though). I think it's fast becoming Charlie and I's favourite shop, unfortunately the nearest is in central London. We were going to stop off in Cirencester but all the car parks were chocker, so we decided to just keep going with our journey home. A stop off in Reading was needed and so was my Costa banoffee muffin. By this time Charlie and I were completely boiling and had the air con on. We continued on until we reached my Nan.J's ready to watch the Grand National. Now the Grand National is a tradition in the Allen household, every year we go to my Nan's to watch it (we used to have fish and chips but that's now stopped). I had betted on three horses and unfortunately none of them won; in fact the only lucky one was my Dad who got third. I enjoy watching the Grand National, I just don't like watching the bit at the end where you see at what fence the horse fell at (number 8 was one of mine). We didn't spend that long at Nan's before heading home for a quiet night in. Needless to say I slept for a very long time on Sunday, as I was so tired from my trip and I think I still kinda am. It was a nice little get away it's just a shame it was in Cheltenham and that I had to come home.
To the outfit...
I do have something new to show you here and that is my new Oasis bag. Now I use the word 'new' loosely as I've now had this for about two weeks. I've been eying it up at work for the past two works but it soon sold out. So on my shift the other week I found this bag just sitting on top of the till point, I did cautiously walk up to it as I had no idea why it was there. After a while I immediately grabbed it and reserved it for myself and hid it behind a rail of clothing. When I went back a few days later, I walked straight up to the rail behind the till and grabbed it. I had been looking for a nice neutral summer bag, but the only one I found and liked was £49.99 and that was out of my price range. So when I found out this bag was £20, I thought it was such a good price for a nice summery bag. With my work discount it was about £17.50 which I didn't mind paying for this bag. I've used it every time I've gone out since I bought it and I'm so glad it turned up at the till point. I never thought about Oasis for bags before I started working there, but now my mind has been changed and their bags are perfect for all year round.
Well I've had quite a busy past week so now I'm looking forward to just spending a few days at home. I know that's what I usually do but I feel that now is a good time for me to be at home. You know those days where you just sit there and ponder about things?? Well I've been having a few of those at the moment and I think they're starting to help me figure stuff out. I may be talking cryptically again and I apologise if I do; but it's really not that cryptic at all. I'm having a quarter life crisis (well an early one) and I need to start figuring things out.
And on that bombshell I will leave you!!
Till next time!!
Think of unicorns and rainbows...

A new week has begun!!
How are we all today??
Good??
That's what I like to hear!!
Yes I am back again!!
Who'd a thunk??
I've had a pretty hectic shift at work...
Not nice!!
But I pretty much didn't do anything for an hour and a half of it!
Yay!!
Anyway...
I'm here for part 2!!
So shall I get on with it??
Yes??
Ok then!!
This was me on Friday when I went to the Cotswold Wildlife Park with Charlie.
Now Friday morning I was not in the mood to go out or do anything, in fact I was ready to go home and vegetate in front of the TV. After one of the worst nights sleep of my life (I may be exaggerating); I was not in the mood to get up early and go out. So after having a strop, getting moaned at by my parents over the phone and Charlie stealing the duvet, I decided to get up. I got up and dressed and headed to the car not knowing what we were going to do or where we were going to go. After debating Charlie and I decided to go to the wildlife park even though it was gone 12pm. It didn't take long to get there and as soon as you drive up towards the car park, you are met by llamas and Oryx's which Charlie stopped and let me take photos. We parked up outside the gift shop and started to figure out where we would go first. We decided to head towards the 'Walled Garden' as that was nearer then the big animals. Charlie and I saw Tamarin's, various Birds, posh Squirrels and Monkeys. The Prairie Dogs were quite good as I've never seen them in real life. If anyone has seen 'Walk on the Wild Side', then you'll know that on the show the Prairie Dogs go 'ALAN, ALAN, ALAN'. Yes Charlie and I re-enacted it and no no-one said anything. The Meerkats were next and they were so funny! There was one of them that kept sunbathing, while other Meerkats gathered around him and also they started fighting each other. I think I took too many photos of them as they were so hilarious. Penguins were next on the agenda and I literally ran over to them. As you can see in the photo I was so excited to see the penguins, they're one of my favourite animals and I love how close we were to them. You could literally reach over and touch them it was pretty damn cool. We took quite a few photos of them as well, especially one for my Nan.J as she is the Penguin’s number one fan (NOT). Also in the 'Walled Garden' Charlie and I saw Marmosets, Mongooses and more Birds. There was a special exhibition called 'Madagascar', were you could walk through a special enclosure were Lemurs roamed free. This was such a cool exhibit as you were so close to the Lemurs and also you could see baby Lemurs which were so cute. After the 'Walled Garden' we headed up towards the main house, as Charlie and I wanted to grab some food as we were getting hungry. On the way to the big houses we saw Monkeys (even baby Monkeys); Bats (they were pretty cool); we went in to the reptile house - yes I did freak out with the Snakes and no you shouldn't be surprised. We also got to see really cool vertebrae's and more monkeys. We found the restaurant which was not at all what we expected, it was light and airy and to our surprise not busy at all. I had fish and chips and Charlie had chips and tartar sauce, which we both enjoyed and was surprised that the food was affordable and really good. After lunch we headed up the 'Farmyard' area which has to be one of my favourite parts. We saw Pigs, Goats, Donkeys, a Shetland Pony, Guinea Pigs (lot's of Guinea Pigs), Rabbits, Lambs, Ducklings and my favourite two Miniature Ponies. I got to pet the Miniature Ponies and I fell in love with them and wanted to take them home. We had a laugh at the little kids chasing the little Goats and the moany attention seeking Sheep. The bigger animals soon came and O M G I never realised how big anteaters are?? Does anyone know how big they are?? They're HUGE!! We also saw Wallaby's, Capybara’s, Flamingos, Wolves (loved them) and Crane's. One of Charlie and I's favourite parts was seeing Tapir's, in fact we had seen them on 'Animal Park' that morning. I honestly never thought I would get the chance to see Tapir's in real life, so to see two up close was an amazing opportunity. The Tapir's definitely made my day!! The animals got bigger from there including Rhino's, Tiny's (aka Giraffe's), Lions, Leopards, Zebra's, Camel's, Red Panda's (loved them) and Giant Tortoises which were so damn cool. The last thing we did before we left was the little train ride around the park. It was such a nice little ride and the best parts were 1. I got to see the leopards (before we only saw the tail) and 2. We got to see the Tapir's being fed. It only cost a pound but it was worth every penny. Some of the last animals we saw were more Birds, Wolverines and Emu's, before heading off to the gift shop to pick up some souvenirs. On the way home we headed to grab some dinner for me and then headed back to the hotel. Charlie went out to see her two friends, so I had a wild night in having a shower then pigging out while watching Poirot and solving wordsearches. Thankfully the excitement from the trip earlier that day made me tired, so I managed to have a good decent nights sleep.
To the outfit...
Now I have another new thing to talk to you about. May I draw your attention to my rather shiny trousers, now before you say anything no I didn't get a pair of disco pants - I got dupes. I noticed these trousers on the New Look website whilst looking through the Kelly Brook range. I was thinking of ordering them then and there but I didn't know if they would fit. I've always been sceptical about disco pant dupes, as I had ordered the River Island versions and they didn't fit me properly. I know that the real deal fit me nicely, but unfortunately I can't bring myself to pay £74 for it. Anyway while I was in Bluewater on Tuesday I popped in to New Look and stumbled across these. Thankfully they had a size 16 and decided to try them on, I honestly didn't think they would fit - I was wrong. When they fitted I couldn't believe it, they were flattering and were long enough for my unnecessary long legs. For £24.99 I think they were a complete bargain and I'm so glad I got them. Blue is a hard colour to match especially with my wardrobe; but I'm up for the challenge as these are comfortable and stylish - a good combination. I definitely recommend these as I think these are quite good dupes and they're affordable. New Look you are complete geniuses.
Well that's the end of part 2!!
I promise you this is the longest part and the busiest, so tomorrows may not be as exciting.
Yes that means I will be back tomorrow...
Here's hoping I remember...

It was nice being away for a few days!!
Saying that I did keep asking to go home...
I know I'm terrible!!
But if I did go home I wouldn't have seem aminals!!!
(More on that at a later date!!)
Now I'm just going to briefly mention about the Sunday playlist.
I don't know if there will be one today as I don't know if I will have time to do it (sounds weird I know). If I don't do it today then I will probably do it during the week.
If I remember...
Well I've had a busy week and for once it's been a good week!!
Wow that really does make a change...
I feel like this first bit doesn't make sense...
I'm babbling...
Ok I'll stop!!
Anyway...
Just a quick post today!!
This was me on Thursday when I went away to Cheltenham with Charlie.
As I mentioned in my 'Things I Love -April' post, I was going away to Cheltenham for a few days with Charlie. Charlie was heading to the Cotswolds for a friends birthday and general catching up, so I decided to tag along to give me something to do. Now usually if I go away I'm usually packed a week in advance and I'm ready to go. Unfortunately for some reason this week I didn't want to be prepared, instead I woke up early-ish and packed before I went. I was up till 2am the night before trying to figure out what to wear; but as usual no luck! I honestly have too many clothes!! Eventually Charlie and I left the house and started the 2 and a half journey to Cheltenham. We were going to stop but because we were running late, we just decided to keep going. We arrived in Cheltenham around 2 something (maybe later) and decided to grab some food. We walked to the promenade to have lunch in Cafe Rouge, which is a new place Charlie and I discovered last time we were there (it's new to us). I must admit walking upstairs to the loos in a pair of litas is not the easiest task; but I didn't fall although I was close to tripping once. We had a really nice meal and for once I was actually stuffed! Cafe Rouge always does nice food and I love the interior inside. Accessorize, House of Fraser, Primark and Trespass came afterwards, as Charlie was on the hunt for a woolly hat to wear to the animal park. There was a stop in Marks & Spencer's for doughnuts (yes I did eat all 4 - no don't judge me). We eventually headed to the Holiday Inn where we checked in and went up the hotel room. We were actually in the same room we stayed in when Charlie graduated, which I thought was quite funny. Charlie soon headed out to meet a friend so my wild night in began. I filmed three videos (2 are up on YouTube and one isn't working) and then I sat watching TV and solving wordsearches. The sad thing is this is my idea of a good night in. When Charlie came home we decided to call it an early night, so I stole the double bed while Charlie slept on the sofa bed. It took me forever to get to sleep - literally I was up till 2 or 3 in the morning. I lay outside the bathroom (that's where the light was) and just solved wordsearches. Eventually I dragged myself in to bed and after another long while I feel asleep. Typical day for me!!
To the outfit...
OMG OMG OMG LOOK AT MY FEET!!! IT'S THE JEFFREY CAMPBELL LITAS!! YAYAYAY!! Sorry I'll stop...
Yes as you can clearly see there is something new to show you and that is my Jeffrey Campbell Lita Spike. I did do a post all about when I got them etc (here); so I'm just going to summarise for you. I picked these beauties up on Tuesday when I was in Bluewater with the family. I suggested going in to Urban Outfitters for Charlie (as she needed to find a present for a friend); and I wasn't looking for anything in particular. In fact I started looking at the sale graphic tees, as I only ever buy them in the sale but found myself floating to the shoe bit. I literally saw them on their little podium and I think I might have run over to them. They had a tag on them which they never usually do; I looked at the tag and saw they were £40!! Yes £40!! I couldn't believe it!! I picked one of them up to see what size they were and when I saw 42 I almost couldn't believe it. I grabbed them, tried them on and knew I had to have them. I got some cheeky discount so they were only £36 - BARGAIN!! I can walk in them, I'm comfortable in them and I am so grateful and excited that I now own a pair. I may sound so dramatic but I never thought I would own a pair; but thankfully now I do and I am so FRIGGING happy!!
This is part one of my Cheltenham trip, as if I did it as a whole it would be too long and I would lose track. Hopefully the next one will be up tomorrow if not it will definitely be up on Tuesday; but until then I have two new videos up on YouTube...

I will be back soon guys as I do miss writing my long confusing posts!!
See you all soon!!

Fly Away, Swim The Ocean Blue, Drive That Open Road...

A little bit of inspiration for April!!
April is here!!
Here's hoping that April showers is just a joke they tell on April fool's day.
Now I can officially say that spring is here or that it's coming, as today it reached 11 degrees (according to Mildred). I have to admit in the car Charlie and I were absolutely boiling, even sitting there in t-shirts we were still boiling. I was wearing a pleather skirt; but hey we all suffer for fashion. Now as the sun has decided to say hello I think it's about time we prepare for spring. I'm definitely not suggesting we all run out and go mad buying vest tops, no I'm simply saying perhaps we should start stocking up on florals etc. I'm keeping my woolly jumpers out as I'm not risking it, I don't want to jump the gun quite yet. I think perhaps we should add a nice floral dress with a chunky knit over it or maybe a sheer skirt with a thick leather jacket. By injecting spring essentials in to our (overstayed welcome) winter wardrobes, we still are able to have the excitement of spring all the while still keeping warm. Am I hoping for the warmer weather?? Of course I am!! The day I get to go out in a floral dress and denim jacket, is the day when a genuine smile will appear on my face. Alas that day is a long way off, so until then I'll look to these pictures for inspiration.
