Hey everyone!!
It's Monday!!
A new week has begun!!
How are we all today??
Good??
That's what I like to hear!!
Yes I am back again!!
Who'd a thunk??
I've had a pretty hectic shift at
work...
Not nice!!
But I pretty much didn't do anything
for an hour and a half of it!
Yay!!
Anyway...
I'm here for part 2!!
So shall I get on with it??
Yes??
Ok then!!
This was me on Friday when I went to
the Cotswold Wildlife Park
with Charlie.
Now Friday morning I was not in the
mood to go out or do anything, in fact I was ready to go home and vegetate in
front of the TV. After one of the worst nights sleep of my life (I may be
exaggerating); I was not in the mood to get up early and go out. So after
having a strop, getting moaned at by my parents over the phone and Charlie
stealing the duvet, I decided to get up. I got up and dressed and headed to the
car not knowing what we were going to do or where we were going to go. After
debating Charlie and I decided to go to the wildlife park even though it was
gone 12pm. It didn't take long to get there and as soon as you drive up towards
the car park, you are met by llamas and Oryx's which Charlie stopped and let me
take photos. We parked up outside the gift shop and started to figure out where
we would go first. We decided to head towards the 'Walled Garden'
as that was nearer then the big animals. Charlie and I saw Tamarin's, various Birds,
posh Squirrels and Monkeys. The Prairie Dogs were quite good as I've never seen
them in real life. If anyone has seen 'Walk on the Wild Side',
then you'll know that on the show the Prairie Dogs go 'ALAN, ALAN, ALAN'. Yes
Charlie and I re-enacted it and no no-one said anything. The Meerkats were next
and they were so funny! There was one of them that kept sunbathing, while other
Meerkats gathered around him and also they started fighting each other. I think
I took too many photos of them as they were so hilarious. Penguins were next on
the agenda and I literally ran over to them. As you can see in the photo I was
so excited to see the penguins, they're one of my favourite animals and I love
how close we were to them. You could literally reach over and touch them it was
pretty damn cool. We took quite a few photos of them as well, especially one
for my Nan.J as she is the Penguin’s number one fan (NOT). Also in the 'Walled Garden'
Charlie and I saw Marmosets, Mongooses and more Birds. There was a special
exhibition called 'Madagascar',
were you could walk through a special enclosure were Lemurs roamed free. This
was such a cool exhibit as you were so close to the Lemurs and also you could
see baby Lemurs which were so cute. After the 'Walled Garden'
we headed up towards the main house, as Charlie and I wanted to grab some food
as we were getting hungry. On the way to the big houses we saw Monkeys (even
baby Monkeys); Bats (they were pretty cool); we went in to the reptile house -
yes I did freak out with the Snakes and no you shouldn't be surprised. We also
got to see really cool vertebrae's and more monkeys. We found the restaurant
which was not at all what we expected, it was light and airy and to our
surprise not busy at all. I had fish and chips and Charlie had chips and tartar
sauce, which we both enjoyed and was surprised that the food was affordable and
really good. After lunch we headed up the 'Farmyard' area which has to be one
of my favourite parts. We saw Pigs, Goats, Donkeys, a Shetland Pony, Guinea
Pigs (lot's of Guinea Pigs), Rabbits, Lambs, Ducklings and my favourite two
Miniature Ponies. I got to pet the Miniature Ponies and I fell in love with
them and wanted to take them home. We had a laugh at the little kids chasing the
little Goats and the moany attention seeking Sheep. The bigger animals soon
came and O M G I never realised how big anteaters are?? Does anyone know how
big they are?? They're HUGE!! We also saw Wallaby's, Capybara’s, Flamingos,
Wolves (loved them) and Crane's. One of Charlie and I's favourite parts was
seeing Tapir's, in fact we had seen them on 'Animal Park' that morning.
I honestly never thought I would get the chance to see Tapir's in real life, so
to see two up close was an amazing opportunity. The Tapir's definitely made my
day!! The animals got bigger from there including Rhino's, Tiny's (aka
Giraffe's), Lions, Leopards, Zebra's, Camel's, Red Panda's (loved them) and
Giant Tortoises which were so damn cool. The last thing we did before we left
was the little train ride around the park. It was such a nice little ride and
the best parts were 1. I got to see the leopards (before we only saw the tail)
and 2. We got to see the Tapir's being fed. It only cost a pound but it was
worth every penny. Some of the last animals we saw were more Birds, Wolverines
and Emu's, before heading off to the gift shop to pick up some souvenirs. On
the way home we headed to grab some dinner for me and then headed back to the
hotel. Charlie went out to see her two friends, so I had a wild night in having
a shower then pigging out while watching Poirot and solving wordsearches.
Thankfully the excitement from the trip earlier that day made me tired, so I
managed to have a good decent nights sleep.
To the outfit...
Now I have another new thing to talk
to you about. May I draw your attention to my rather shiny trousers, now before
you say anything no I didn't get a pair of disco pants - I got
dupes. I noticed these
trousers on the New Look website
whilst looking through the Kelly
Brook range. I was thinking of ordering them then and there but I didn't
know if they would fit. I've always been sceptical about disco pant dupes, as I
had ordered the River Island versions
and they didn't fit me properly. I know that the real deal fit me nicely, but
unfortunately I can't bring myself to pay £74 for it. Anyway while I was in
Bluewater on Tuesday I popped in to New Look
and stumbled across these. Thankfully they had a size 16 and decided to try
them on, I honestly didn't think they would fit - I was wrong. When they fitted
I couldn't believe it, they were flattering and were long enough for my
unnecessary long legs. For £24.99 I think they were a complete bargain and I'm
so glad I got them. Blue is a hard colour to match especially with my wardrobe;
but I'm up for the challenge as these are comfortable and stylish - a good
combination. I definitely recommend these as I think these are quite good dupes
and they're affordable. New Look you are
complete geniuses.
Well that's the end of part 2!!
I promise you this is the longest
part and the busiest, so tomorrows may not be as exciting.
Yes that means I will be back
tomorrow...
Here's hoping I remember...
B x
