Hey everyone!!
Hope you're all well!!
I have had such a mad couple of days!!
Some good...
Some bad...
But overall very stressful!!
Fortunately, I'm beginning the process of de-stressing - slowly but surely!
Anyway...
This was me on Saturday after I came back from London with my Mum.
Now I never go out on the weekends, purely because I usually work between Monday and Wednesday so I like to have a couple of days at home. I don't like going in to my local town let alone London; but this time I had a reason. I was going up to have an interview in the afternoon, so my Dad suggested that my Mum come with me and we make a full afternoon of it. Both parties agreed and soon enough Mum and I were on our way. My interview was first and only lasted 15 minutes and then I met up with my Mum. We headed up towards Covent Garden, where there were some rather hunky beach rugby players to drool over. There were a lot of them and they were everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE! At one point I couldn't stop smiling and I took refuge in the Royal Opera House. I showed my Mum the pieces that are on my birthday/Christmas list and I also picked up two t-shirts. Next we popped in to the Disney Store and then headed to Costa for something to nibble on. Eventually we made our way back to Charing Cross and then swiftly home. It was a nice afternoon; but I honestly don't like crowds (I get claustrophobic).
To the outfit...
Now this wasn't my original outfit when I left the house that afternoon. You see my original outfit idea failed, so I just chucked on a random jacket just to complete the look. By the time we reached Charing Cross I had had enough and needed to change. Mum and I looked around H&M and we found this little gem of a kimono. For £19.99 it is such great quality, a good length and I love the pattern (if you want to see it in full watch my ootd video here). I couldn't believe it was only £20 (with a penny change) when we saw it there on the rail. I am so glad this piece is a part of my wardrobe, as I will use and abuse it (and I'm not even exaggerating). I have a penchant for plain t-shirts - well actually it's more of an obsession, but they just go with everything so why not stock up. I picked this Uni Qlo one up in Bluewater the other week. Now in most shops they usually have a multi buy deal on their jersey and Uni Qlo is the same. It was £9.90 for one or £14.90 for two and at that price I thought I might as well get two. I picked up this cream/white one and one in black. It's just a great versatile piece and overall it's just a baggy t-shirt - who doesn't love a baggy t-shirt?? As you guys may know my foot is still as fat as anything; but I thought now would be a great opportunity to stretch my boots. By using my fat foot to wear in my boots, by the time it goes down (or I chop it off) they'll fit nicely. I picked these Adonis2 boots in Oxblood from a website called Next to Nowt. They are a website that resells shoes that have been worn for a discount price. Now the Adonis2 boots retail for £75 in Topshop; but on Next to Nowt there were £30 and after a week of deliberating I knew I had to have them. They fit nicely but they kinda rub on the heel on my left foot, other then that they're perfectly fine. If you are looking for a pair of the Adonis boots, definitely check out Next to Nowt for any bargains.
I think this is clear that I'm buying too much yet again. I am honestly incapable of saving money, which is a hindrance as Disney is coming up in two months!!
I must behave!!
But if you're like me and follow the words of Cole Porter you'll know what I'm about to say...
'LET'S MISBEHAVE!!!'

I Wanna See All The Stars And Everything In Between...

A little inspiration for August!!
August has arrived!!
Seriously, where has this year gone??
I can't believe in two months time I'm not only going to be 21 (woo); but I'm going to Disneyland Paris!!
It's crazy how this year is just flying...
Anyway...
Seen as we are in to a new month and currently going through a tropical heatwave, it seems only fitting to get some new inspiration. Now I have recently realised that I don't know how to dress in the summer months. When it comes to A/W, I know I can chuck on a chunky jumper with a pair of skinny trousers and boots and have a good/warm outfit. If the outfit doesn't include a pair of boots or some kind of chunky knitwear, I am honestly at a lost of what to do. I do love wearing my dungarees; but there is only so much I can wear them with. I need major inspiration - well either that or to hibernate until the cold weather comes back. Don't worry I'm not complaining about the warm weather; but I keep wearing the wrong thing. So I am either too cold or too warm - I can't win! Naturally I don't want to buy all new clothes (well I don't think I'm allowed); but then I think I'm clearly bored of my current wardrobe.
I seem to be in a fashion rut!!
Here's hoping I'll get some inspiration...

Hey everyone!!
Hope you're all well!!
I'm finally back to my old self!!
The weekend was just emotionally draining and difficult for me.
Thankfully though my head is much clearer and now I'm back to normal!!
Well, what's normal for me...
Anyway...
This was me on Saturday after I came back from a family trip to Bluewater.
Now firstly I'm not going to go on and on about why I was upset at the weekend, as it's a number of things and I don't want to bore anyone. So we'll glide over the subject and just get straight in to it. Originally we were meant to go to Bluewater another day; but we decided to go on Saturday as a family. We arrived quite early in the day and first on the agenda was shoe shopping - no not for me but for my Dad. Thankfully Clarks came to the rescue, so I decided to wander in to Topshop. Oh My God, the Bluewater Topshop is literally the worst ever! The staff are mean and unorganised, the stock isn't that good and it's quite small. To be honest I much prefer my local one and I won't be going back to the Bluewater again. Lunch followed and I literally had no appetite and couldn't keep my eyes open. It was a nice lunch in Brown's and my Dad kept making me and Charlie laugh. On a whim we decided to do Pirate Adventure Golf. It was fun but annoying kids did nothing for my mood. My Dad won and unfortunately I came last, it took me 21 goes to get the ball in the hole and even then I didn't manage it (does this sound wrong - maybe?) By the end of the game my mood was pretty bad; unfortunately it got worse after a woman dropped a roll of wallpaper on my foot in Cath Kidston. I now have a lovely bruise on my toe and thankfully my anger has faded away. By this time I had literally had enough, so after a good cry I decided to do what any emotionally charged person would do - shop! I ended up going from shop to shop picking up some nice pieces to add to my wardrobe. Along with a few plain t-shirts I also picked up a RealTechniques Expert Face Brush, a new wash bag, new purse and passport cover etc. To see everything I purchased, you can watch my new haul video (here). It was a long and draining day; but I literally zonked out and slept right through to Sunday afternoon - good times!!
To the outfit...
I did glam up for Bluewater - but hey, why not!!
I think I had an idea of what I wanted to wear, but for some reason I couldn't wear it (Saturday is so long ago). I wanted my trousers to be the main focus of the outfit, so I decided to just do a plain back t-shirt. Now with the gold accessories (I honestly never wear silver); I wanted to have something to break it all up. I thought the kimono would be a good addition to the outfit and just breaks up the black t-shirt and accompanies the shiny trousers. I went for sandals (bad choice) as I just wanted a pair of shoes I could walk around in. The headband was simply because without it, I'm quite blonde (I'm waiting for my roots to come back). It's a nice outfit which is well and truly accessorised.
Today I went to see 'Monsters University' with Charlie and OMG it was AWESOME!! I went in my Monsters Inc t-shirt to represent my obsession for Disney. I loved the moral and the fact that it proves you don't have to go to university to achieve your dream. I'm definitely an Oozma Kappa girl, as Charlie is a Roar Omega Roar (she loves Nathan Fillion). It's a good movie and if you haven't seen it - GO NOW!!
I think I'll go and distract myself...

You Want Me Down On Earth, But I Am Up In Space...

Dungarees - Vintage (ASOS Marketplace)
Shoes - New Look

Hey everyone!!
Hope you're all well!!
I've had quite an interesting weekend...
And by interesting I mean - WORST WEEKEND EVER!!!
It's a long story, but let's just say I'm emotionally drained!!
I'm just looking forward to a relaxing week at home!!
(Well apart from work and driving lesson)
Anyway...
This was me on Thursday halfway through the festivities.
So Thursday was quite a busy day/a bit of an emotional day as well. First on the agenda was to pop in to town to visit my manager. I have a lot of decisions to make and some many updates, so I thought I had to go and update my manager about what was going on. Since speaking to her I have kind of made a decision; but even now I'm still unsure on whether it's right or wrong. But when I know, I will let you guys know. Afterwards Charlie and I had a bit of lunch and I had my favourite chicken baguette. We rushed home and popped in to the car to head off to the hospital. We had a family meeting about my Nan and what is going on with her health etc. I had to walk out of the meeting, but I did get to spend some time with my Nan afterwards. We all headed back home and to keep us busy, Charlie asked me to take photos for her as part of a project. We managed to get a few good ones and Charlie also took this photo as well. Later that day Charlie, my Dad and I went to Waterstones to hear a special talk. It was being done by The Whitechapel Society and it was about the infamous Jack the Ripper. They have a new book out called 'Jack the Ripper: The Terrible Legacy', which is about the aftermath of the infamous killer and the various victims. Susan Parry did the talk on Thursday and she based it on her own personal ripper - Severin Klosowski aka George Chapman. It was a compelling argument and a very interesting talk; but I don't think we're sold on her choice of ripper. It was an enjoyable evening and my Dad certainly enjoyed his three glasses of wine. He also treated himself to the first book 'Jack the Ripper: The Suspects' and even had it signed. It was a busy day but thorough enjoyable (well the end of it was).
To the outfit...
I don't understand the weather!!
It went from cold and rain to muggy and dry on Wednesday and yet it was boiling hot on Thursday. I am literally confused about what to wear and this isn't very nice. Anyway, this is was an outfit change to what I was wearing earlier. I was originally wearing just the two tops together, both together almost passed for a dress (I did wear shorts underneath). I would never usually go out in a body-con top/dress; but with the mesh top over...well the top, it made me feel a lot more comfortable. For the evening though I just chucked my dungarees over the top (that seems to be a re-occurring word); as I just wanted to be comfortable for the evening. I also put my hair in pigtails and for some reason had a lack of jewellery and went out. Nothing too exciting but with this weather, you need to keep it simple.
Like I said I did have a bad/boring weekend and I haven't had one of these for months; but I'm hoping my time at home may help that.
I have quite a lot of decisions to make - here's hoping I make the right one...
Fingers crossed!!

LILLY!!
Hey everyone!!
I hope you're all well!!
I can't believe it's been over a week since I last posted!!
This week has literally been a blur.
I've been working and going out with the family, so I haven't had time to go on my laptop.
Honestly if it wasn't for my phone, I would have been cut off from the world!!
It's been a busy couple of days and I'm still trying to catch up on sleep.
Anyway...
This was me on Wednesday while I was on a family trip to Cirencester.
As you guys may know by now Cirencester is one of my favourite places in the whole world. I've been visiting there my whole life and also my godfather lives there. Now seen as my Dad had the week off, we decided to head to the Cotswold's to pick up my Mum's birthday present (it's not until November). It was a 6:30am start (I had already been up for an hour) and we didn't arrive until 10am. I had a cheeky McDonald's breakfast, while the rest of the family had sandwiches (special). We headed in to town (via the park so Lilly could have a run around) and had a look around. Of course first port of call was to pick up Mum's present. It was from a little shop down an alley way and honestly you would never know it was there. It's a lovely handmade ring and my Mum loves it, which of course is the most important thing. I treated the family to some sweets, as it's a bit of a tradition for us. So I got some jelly worms, Charlie had fangs and my Mum demolished her lemon bon bons (my Dad was the only good one). The next stop was my favourite antiques shop and I can honestly say - it doesn't disappoint!! I picked up an old chemist poison bottle (it intrigued me) and a beautiful vintage tartan blazer. I did want to get a skeleton (fake one); but I didn't have £200. We headed back in to the park where my Mum was lovely enough to take my photo. By this point I had been up for over 6 hours and already finding hard to keep my eyes open. The last stop was my godfather’s house/Charlie's godmother's house. The best part about this is that I got to see Alfie the love of my life - a golden Cocker Spaniel. We had lunch and I got to have multiple cuddles from Alfie and he gave me lots of kisses (I'm a crazy dog lady). It was good to see the Flat-back Retriever Kiera as well (she kept sitting on me), as it had been a year since I saw them both. Soon enough we were back on the road and headed home. I stayed in with my Dad having a take away and watching JFK documentaries, while Charlie and my Mum went out for a meal. Needless to say we were all well and truly knackered!!
To the outfit...
I have absolutely no idea what the weather is doing at the moment!!
One minute it's freezing cold, the next it's boiling hot (which is too confusing for my sensitive disposition). Now apparently on Wednesday it was meant to be cold, so I decided to dress for warm-ish weather. I threw on my new Marvel tank top from Topshop that I picked up in the sale. Last month (I think) I popped in to Topshop when the sale started to have a look. Now in the Topshop sales I always look for graphic t-shirts, as they're usually too expensive full price. I did originally look at jeans but I soon gave up on that and headed to the tops. I found this one purely by accident, plus there were only two of them left. It's just a really cool graphic tank top with two of my husbands on it (Iron Man - Robert Downey Jr & Captain America - Chris Evans). This top looks great paired with trousers (like I've done here) or layered with a skirt (like in my new lookbook video here). For £12 it's a great price and will be in my wardrobe for a long time. I went for my April Chelsea Boots as I really need to break them in and after nine hours, I think I've made progress.
That's just one of my many busy days and I am literally going to be busy all month.
Don't worry I'm not complaining...
Yet!!
