LILLY!!
Hey everyone!!
I hope you're all well!!
I can't believe it's been over a week
since I last posted!!
This week has literally been a blur.
I've been working and going out with
the family, so I haven't had time to go on my laptop.
Honestly if it wasn't for my phone, I
would have been cut off from the world!!
It's been a busy couple of days and
I'm still trying to catch up on sleep.
Anyway...
This was me on Wednesday while I was
on a family trip to Cirencester.
As you guys may know by now
Cirencester is one of my favourite places in the whole world. I've been
visiting there my whole life and also my godfather lives there. Now seen as my
Dad had the week off, we decided to head to the Cotswold's to pick up my Mum's
birthday present (it's not until November). It was a 6:30am start (I had
already been up for an hour) and we didn't arrive until 10am. I had a cheeky
McDonald's breakfast, while the rest of the family had sandwiches (special). We
headed in to town (via the park so Lilly could have a run around) and had a
look around. Of course first port of call was to pick up Mum's present. It was
from a little shop down an alley way and honestly you would never know it was
there. It's a lovely handmade ring and my Mum loves it, which of course is the
most important thing. I treated the family to some sweets, as it's a bit of a
tradition for us. So I got some jelly worms, Charlie had fangs and my Mum demolished
her lemon bon bons (my Dad was the only good one). The next stop was my
favourite antiques shop and I can honestly say - it doesn't disappoint!! I
picked up an old chemist poison bottle (it intrigued me) and a beautiful
vintage tartan blazer. I did want to get a skeleton (fake one); but I didn't
have £200. We headed back in to the park where my Mum was lovely enough to take
my photo. By this point I had been up for over 6 hours and already finding hard
to keep my eyes open. The last stop was my godfather’s house/Charlie's
godmother's house. The best part about this is that I got to see Alfie the love
of my life - a golden Cocker Spaniel. We had lunch and I got to have multiple
cuddles from Alfie and he gave me lots of kisses (I'm a crazy dog lady). It was
good to see the Flat-back Retriever Kiera as well (she kept sitting on me), as
it had been a year since I saw them both. Soon enough we were back on the road
and headed home. I stayed in with my Dad having a take away and watching JFK
documentaries, while Charlie and my Mum went out for a meal. Needless to say we
were all well and truly knackered!!
To the outfit...
I have absolutely no idea what
the weather is doing at the moment!!
One minute it's freezing cold, the
next it's boiling hot (which is too confusing for my sensitive disposition).
Now apparently on Wednesday it was meant to be cold, so I decided to dress for
warm-ish weather. I threw on my new Marvel tank top from Topshop
that I picked up in the sale. Last month (I think) I popped in to Topshop
when the sale started to have a look. Now in the Topshop
sales I always look for graphic t-shirts, as they're usually too expensive full
price. I did originally look at jeans but I soon gave up on that and headed to
the tops. I found this one purely by accident, plus there were only two of them
left. It's just a really cool graphic tank top with two of my husbands on it (Iron Man - Robert Downey Jr & Captain America - Chris Evans). This top looks
great paired with trousers (like I've done here) or layered with a skirt (like
in my new lookbook video here).
For £12 it's a great price and will be in my wardrobe for a long time. I went
for my April Chelsea Boots as I really need to break them in and after nine
hours, I think I've made progress.
That's just one of my many busy days
and I am literally going to be busy all month.
Don't worry I'm not complaining...
Yet!!
B x
