Aww I look pweedy!!
You wouldn't believe that I was so tired when this was taken (which was about 4 hours ago). Now today was one of my favourite times of the month(s) Benefit day!! Yes today I had one of my usual appointments at Benefit in House of Fraser. I'm not going to go in to much detail as I have a post about my make up coming soon so all I will say is, I do look pweedy. I also ran a few errands today. Number one on my list was a natural slip so I headed to Primark as I know they do some in there, I found the perfect one for only £6 but they didn't have my size literally always the way. I also wanted to pick up a book on photography kind of a how to so I popped in to Waterstones to try and find the one I wanted; unfortunately I couldn't remember what the book was called so I had to abandon mission. When I was in Cheltenham last week I didn't fancy carrying a bag around with me (I never do when I'm there); all I used was a Cath Kidston tote bag that I usually keep in my handbag. I turned round to my mum today and mentioned that I wouldn't mind a straw bag, so we trawled a few shops until I mentioned that there was one in Next that I liked. Thankfully they had quite a few and for £22 I didn't think that was too bad so I ended up getting this one; I like that it has red and black stripes on it for that unusual feel and also its spacious enough to hold all my rubbish. I did pick up a cuff for your ear with 2 crosses dangling down from Miss Selfridge in Debenhams, as you know I love crosses and I do love cuffs I think they're something different and although with my hair you can't see them; I still like wearing them. And finally I picked up a Balenciaga style bag from a little shop in town for £10!! As much as I wish I could afford the real deal I think getting similar style ones for a snippet of the price is just as good.
To the outfit...
I'm wearing 3 items that are quite old in this photo. The first item is the bag I remember I got it ages ago when I was obsessed with having chains on everything, I did use it a lot when I first purchased it but I soon got bored of it (we all do this) and I eventually gave it to my mum and forgot about it. It wasn't till about a month ago I was sitting in my parents room when I noticed it sitting there so I immediately snatched it back. The metallic is chipping away on the handles but as this bag has no fastening I prefer to use the chain handle and have it flopping over, it's a nice alternative to my usual black bags. The second item is my blazer now I got this a few years ago I think when Henry Holland first did his range for Debenhams, they were having a big sale and everything was so cheap. I ended up trying on a few things but I eventually bought a motif t-shirt, body -con skirt and this blazer. I do wear this quite a bit usually either with white or pink I think the colours work well with the blue/grey colour of the blazer, it does get creased really easily but I'm one of those weird people who doesn't mind going out in creased clothes. The third item is my top I got this a year or two ago and it's my go to summer top. It's from Primark and I purchased it when the whole 'short at the front long at the back' trend first came on the scene, it's baggy which I like so it's perfect for those warm days and its a different material at the back. I don't usually go for pink (as you know) but this top to me is the exception, it's the perfect combination of style, fit and colour.
I am now going to try and stay awake to do some tidying. I either do chores either too early in the morning or late at night, I worry about my sanity.
You'd think I'd be used to it by now or am I...
