Wow I am knackered!!
(I can't remember the
last time I started a post without the word tired or knackered.)
Any who’s I have had quite a busy day
(makes a change). My mum and I were good girls and we arrived in town for 9am!
Managed to pick up my New Look goodies so now I have my sandals for the summer and a new black skirt; (they're the hardest item to find) but I am
very happy that I now have both. My mum had a personal shopper appointment
today for a wedding my parents are attending next month, then of course
Charlie's graduation in November (where has the 4 years gone?). After trying on
many dresses very reminiscent of Grace Kelly my mum decided on a shift dress
and blazer (think Christina Hendricks in Mad Men); it's navy with a pleated
detail on the neckline and back of the blazer and my mum looks fabulous in it.
Just in case you haven't noticed I have some make up one my face and thankfully
for once I didn't have to do it (yay!!). I stopped off at Benefit and had my
make up done and it's so nice to be wearing liquid eye liner for a change, you
know me and eye liner so of course I trust a complete stranger then myself. I
also went to see American Reunion today. I was surprised that I would enjoy it
as I’m not a huge fan of the movies but this one was funny and it kept me
laughing.
To the outfit...
Aye aye captain!!
I am channelling my inner sailor
today. I do love stripes; I actually bought this top a few years ago when I
would wear nothing but stripes for a year (as I said yesterday). So when I saw
this one among my pile of perfectly folded clothes (aka floordrobe); I thought
it would be perfect to chuck on with a chunky cardigan to keep me warm in the
cold spring morning. Blue, white and cream are my favourite combination of
colours for a colourful look (my kind of colourful); plus I love dressing up as
a sailor. Now I thought the logical accessory would be to wear my new navy
beanie from yesterday; but I decided to be odd and wear my multi
sequinned beanie instead. I think you always need a pop of colour when wearing
neutral colours. I couldn't decide between silver or gold jewellery but seen as
my anchor studs are gold, I thought gold would be a more appropriate
combination for blue (I like gold).
I shall now leave you as I have to
close my eyes and sleep.
Here's hoping next time I won't quote
myself again. Doubt it...
B x
