Hey guys!!
HAPPY EASTER!!
Remember me??
I know I've been gone for so long (well a week but feels longer).
I have been very naughty this week...
Pretty much there were days where I got home late...
I was tired...
My internet stopped working...
Sometimes I even forgot!!
So many excuses but honestly there are legit!
It's been a long and odd week if I'm honest.
It started off on Monday, with having a meeting which was meant to make me feel relieved...I didn't!
Then Tuesday I had a 'relaxing' day at home - I was so stressed out it was unreal.
Wednesday I covered a shift at work and I could have screamed!!
Thursday I did some shopping to spend my wages - not so bad.
Friday started off bad but got better as the day went on.
Saturday started off good and then became stressful and then I got a tattoo (number 4).
And that leaves us with today - dyed my roots!!
I'm not trying to moan about my week (I’ve done that already); I'm just showing you why I've been a bit absent. It has been a long and terrible week; but something good has come out of it - I'm happy with my life! You might think that's not a revelation; but for me it is as usually I'm craving something else. I always want to be someone else or look like someone else and even want more then I had; but for the first time ever (even though it's been an odd few weeks) I actually feel happy. I’m happy with my situation (work and personal) which is both comforting and scary. Although I am happy I'm not necessarily contented, but you never know what could happen.
Anyway...
This was me after shopping with Mum and Charlie on Thursday.
Now I wasn't originally meant to go on Thursday; but I kind of invited myself along as I had a dress on hold. By the time my shift came around on Wednesday I had noticed the dress had gone; but the bag that I have wanted for ages had turned up on my till. I immediately hid it behind a rail of clothes and reserved it for myself. When Thursday came around I took my time getting ready, so much so that Charlie had to come and pick me up. We eventually ended up in town as a threesome and headed for some lunch in CaffĂ© Nero. We then headed to Thomas Cook to pay the next instalment on Charlie and mine birthday holiday, (we were born 3 years and 9 days a part). Charlie then had to run off to her eye appointment, so I abandoned Mum in Thomas Cook and headed to River Island. I don't know what it is about our local River Island; but whenever a sale is on the staff goes to pot. They forget everything and add to the chaos of the customers - not good. I reunited with Mum and Charlie and headed to Debenhams to pick up my bag. I was slightly nervous that it wouldn't be there; but thankfully it was and I literally grabbed it quicker then normal people do (I’m weird). While I was there I picked up a maxi dress that I have been after for ages, as the last part of my uniform allowance. Although I'm happy I picked up the dress, I'm happier with the bag as it cost me about £17 something (originally £38 - bargain). We soon headed back to the car as Charlie had to go back to work to pick up her coat. So it was a quick trip in to town and yet we were out for ages!! Oh and we swung by Tesco's for food for me (I'm a piggy); which reminds me - who does their weekly shop on a Thursday?? I don't get it!! The Allen family weekly shop is on a Saturday, so the idea of it being on a Thursday absolutely confuses me. I'm an odd child!!
To the outfit...
So I've had this outfit planned for a while as I liked the idea of the circus top with the skater skirt. Unfortunately I didn't realise how baggy the top would be, nor do I have an appropriate cardigan to match. So I decided to chuck on my new favourite cardigan just for a slouchy effect. I picked this top up from work earlier this year or maybe it was Christmas?? Anyway I've been wanted this top since it was brand new stock and £16. I loved the print of the circus and the glamour of the top itself; unfortunately I couldn't bring myself to pay £16 even with my 20% off. So months later when I was sorting out the H! by Henry Holland sale, I saw this top just hanging there for £5 something and a size 16. I immediately knew it was fate and decided to take it back to the till point until lunch. I couldn't decide if I wanted to get it or not; but I thought it would be silly not to. With my 20% off it was only £4 something which is a complete bargain. Although this top was slightly too baggy for this outfit, I'm delighted that it'll be perfect for layering up with my old faithfuls. You see it does pay to wait until the sale - thank you discount!!
Now you're probably expecting a Sunday Playlist today; but as it was my last post I decided not to. I may do one during the week but if not it'll be back next week. I'm going to be very busy this week (literally out everyday); but I will try and update more then I did this week.
Just in case you're having with drawl symptoms here is my new Movie Tag video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hA1DXo98rU
I shall leave you now but hopefully for not too long.
I promise I will be back!!

What Doesn't Kill You Makes A Fighter...

Hey Guys!!
How are you all??
I'm still feeling stuffed up!!
I'm alright except my nose keeps getting blocked.
Everyday it's blocked...
Won't stop being blocked...
At least the coughing has gone!!
Yep that hasn't happened...
My throat is alright and the achiness has gone.
YAYAYAY!!
I'm slowly getting there!!
Anyway...
I'm back again for the third day running!!
Yayayayay!!
I'm being such a good little blogger this weekend.
I go through phases when I have so many ideas for blog posts and other times I have absolutely none.
Why are ideas so hard to come by??
Not fair!!
Considering I'm so imaginative I can never think of anything!!
Am I losing my touch??
No I can't be...
Can I??
I should stop babbling now!!
Right now on to the task at hand!!
Guess what it's time for...SUNDAY PLAYLIST!!
Yes apparently it is Sunday again and no I don't know how it happened.
You would think I have spent the last seven days trying to think of an artist or a theme...well you'd be wrong!! Instead I seem to forget about the Sunday playlist until the day of (like now for example). I spend seven days a week listening to music and yet I never know what to pick. You would think by now that I would have learnt my lesson - well I haven't!! This is always the time where I run around like a headless chicken, trying to think of an idea to use (except I don't physically run around). This is actually quite a hard decision this week!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO PICK!!
Shall I just get on with it??
Ok I will!!
This week’s theme and artist is something I have literally just come up with!!
(I don't know why I didn't think of this before!!)
Ok so this week’s artist is someone who I've admired for such a long time; but never actually thought of doing a playlist for. I love all her songs and have happily mimed along to them at various moments in my life. I think there is something poignant and yet fun about this artist’s songs, that just makes us want to listen to them. From her humble beginnings to a mega superstar, this artist has remained one of my favourites. With such songs as 'Miss Independent', 'Since U Been Gone' and 'Never Again', this artist has shown us that we can be free and independent. But then with songs as 'Because of You' and 'Behind these Hazel Eyes', we can relate to every word and feel every emotion. This artist knows how to write a song and she certainly knows how to sing it.
Yes this week’s artist is Kelly Clarkson!!
I am a big fan of Kelly and I think she has such a voice on her and she knows how to use it. These songs have had me singing along for years and I'm sure I'll keep singing them. Another thing I love about Kelly is she doesn't care about what she looks like. I hate when people call you fat if you put on a couple of pounds!! That doesn't make you fat it makes you human in my opinion and I like the fact that Kelly doesn't care about that. We all have body issues but to have someone in the limelight embracing their curves, it makes you more comfortable in yourself to embrace your own. I think she's a perfect size and everyone else are a bunch of weirdos for thinking anything else.
                                                             Anyway...
Ladies and gentleman I present Kelly Clarkson!!
Sit back, relax and ENJOY!!

I Want A Fine Perfume, I Want A Blue Corvette...

 Monthly Want - March!!

Hey everyone!!
I'm back for a second day in a row - aren't I a good little blogger!!
It's so weird that I'm having a flashback to last month, when I was having such a busy week as it was half term. Now I've had the quietest week in a while, ok yes I've been ill but still quiet.
Now on to the matter at hand...
Yes it's time for a new Monthly Want!!
These are always the trickiest ones to choose as I lust over so many things. I actually feel that at one point Johnny Depp would be a monthly want...well more like a yearly want. But this month was a bit of a no brainer and I managed to decide quite quickly what I wanted to pick.
Right...
How pretty are these shoes??
Now usually I'm completely against heels, because I can barely walk in them whatever the size of the heel. But there's something about this pair that I really like. I know Zara have been doing the dainty ladylike heel for quite a while now; but 1. They never have my size and 2. I never found a pair I like. I came across these ones in an ELLE supplement and instantly liked them. The neutral white is a good base palette for the shoe; but the silver on the toe of the shoe makes it really stand out. These shoes will go with everything whether it’s a floral dress or a formal suit; they come under any genre and go with various pieces. I think there's a rule about ankle straps and making legs look shorter...blah blah blah. Fair enough but if you can rock an ankle strap then you should rock these shoes. I just want to mention the ankle strap right now because it is simple. Now usually simple isn't a good thing, but for this shoe I think it's the perfect component. I'm not a fan of massive buckles or anything too fussy on a shoe like this, so I think Next have designed this shoe with simple in mind. Yes this is where I mention that these lovely shoes are from Next!! I think Next have an ability to copy the high street or designer shoes; but still put their own spin on it. That's why I never jump on the bandwagon and buy expensive shoes, when I can wait a month or two and then get a cheaper pair from Next. I always invest in pairs of shoes and boots from Next, as I know I will wear them to death and they will last. I think if you want a pair of ladylike shoes that will go with everything and are a complete bargain - get these shoes!! For £28 you are investing in a pair of heels that will last for years.
I think I can honestly say these shoes will end up part of my collection.
Just wish I had them now!!
Like now!!
Right now!!
I hate waiting...
Isn't Easter coming up next week??
YAYAYAY!!

Cardigan - Primark

Hey Guys!!
How are we all??
Good??
YAYAY!!
Now I apologise for being absent for the past few days or so but I have the flu!!
I’ve been signed off from work and I've been a snotty mess.
I'm still a bunged up stuffy mess...
I HATE THE FLU!!!
Thankfully my coughing isn't as bad anymore!!
Yay!!
My nose won't stop running!!
Boo!!
Throat isn't that bad!!
Yay!!
I should stop complaining!!
Yes I might actually stop complaining for once...
Well the main thing is I'm getting better!!
Yay for me!!
Anyway...
I'm going to stop babbling!!
Just a quick post today!!
This was me yesterday when I popped in to town for a meeting/Hobbycraft.
So like I mentioned I went in to town for a meeting but that's all I'm going to mention on that subject. It wasn't a bad meeting and it wasn't a good meeting; but I felt relieved when I came out and now that feeling is gone. Right now I feel as if the meeting never happened; so I guess I'm back to square one. I know I'm being totally cryptic but it's kind of complicated to explain. Next subject - so also yesterday Charlie and I picked Mum up from work and headed to Hobbycraft. (Yes this is how exciting my life has become). As you know Leah is moving to America, so I wanted to make her something to take with her. I'm completely not artistic in anyway shape or form - okay that's probably a lie but I don't shout about it. Leah is such a talented artist (she drew a picture of me and Johnny Depp for my birthday last year); that I wanted to do something artistic for her. I picked up a few things to create something both Leah and I can have (that's the only clue you're getting). I generally love walking up and down the aisles seeing all the various things you can get. I picked up a mini sketchpad just in case my creative juices start flowing while I'm out. We then popped to Sainsbury's afterwards where I threw a strop, because my Mum wouldn't buy me a unicorn. I REFUSE TO GROW UP!! I did pick up an Easter egg for the first time in 7 years!! Allergies - don't ask! Afterwards we headed to John Lewis Home for a bit of a pit stop. I was a bit of a poser in the toilets taking lot's of pictures of my outfit - classy! It was a nice little trip and was nice to get some fresh air.
To the outfit...
I wanted to look really fabulous yesterday and make a bit of a statement. Now you might look at this outfit and think ‘how is that fabulous??’ Well this is the dressed down version of the original outfit, the original had my little wedges and bowler hat. I was planning on handing out CV's so I wanted my outfit to stand out. Yes I know I was head to toe in black; but it's my signature colour so what can I say. I decided to break out my Topshop Peplum Top. I've had this top for absolute ages but I just haven't worn it, so I decided now would be a good time to wear it. I think this top makes my boobs look twice as big and the peplum sometimes makes me look pregnant. I know it sounds like I'm moaning but I actually like this top. It’s a neutral colour and is versatile for any occasion. For a dressed down look I just threw on a beanie and a pair of flats.  My cardigan was the only constant item in this outfit (well apart from the trousers and jewellery). I fall more in love with this cardigan every time I wear it, Charlie wants to wear it but I refuse to let her.
Well that's me done for today!!
I'm sorry it wasn't anything interesting but I've just been a flu filled mess, although I shouldn't be moaning about having HERMIT TIME!!
BTW here is the link to my new Charity Shop Haul video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypyw6FyxFkc&feature=youtu.be
Here's hoping the flu buggers off soon!!

All The Ladies If You Feel Me, Help Me Sing It Now...

Hey all!!
How are we all??
Good??
That's what I like to hear!!
I am still full of cold/flu...
I feel like absolute rubbish!!
My nose keeps running...
I have an annoying cough...
Sore throat...
Often achey...
FUN TIMES!!
I feel like I'm getting picked on at the moment when it comes to my health.
It's not fair!!
WHY ME??
I shouldn't moan really.
What’s that thing they say...
'Someone is always worse of then you!'
Or something like that!!
Anyway...
We all know what day it is and why we're here.
SUNDAY PLAYLIST!!
Yes the one day a week where I have to think of a theme or an artist to be the focus on my playlist.
Now as we all know this isn't always an easy thing for me to do, as sometimes I have too many ideas and sometimes I have absolutely none. I must admit this week I have quite a few ideas; but I don't know which one to pick. Should I pick a theme that is relevant to my life now or maybe one that I've wanted to do for ages?? I'm probably over thinking it like I always do; but hey I'm ill so everything is magnified. There are so many things I could choose from; but if I had to choose we would literally be here for weeks. Maybe I should pick something out of a hat?? But I don't have a hat on me so I'm just going to have to choose!!
Ummmmmmmm........
CHOSEN!!
Right...
Now this week the theme I have chosen is a particular artist, who I have always been a fan of but have not yet, had the chance to single them out. This particular artist has been around for well over 10 years and has inspired not only my generation but even the new generation of kids. From being in a girl band to a solo artist, she has always kept her feistiness and her eye for a darn good song. She is one half of the ultimate hip hop power couple and now with little Blue Ivy, a new generation of hip hop royalty was born.
Yes my artist of the week is Beyonce!!
Even though I knew (and still know) the words to all the Destiny's Child songs; I was never actually a true fan of theirs. Don't get me wrong I do love them and I think their music help defined my childhood; but I was never an actual fan of theirs...sorry. I became a fan of Beyonce's when she released her solo album 'Dangerously in Love'. From iconic songs like 'Crazy in Love' to collaborations with Sean Paul and Usher, Beyonce knows not only what a good song is but how to show that song off to its full advantage. There are many times where you will be absolutely bored and have nothing to do. You decide to put some music on and as soon as you hear that Beyonce song, you just can't stop singing and dancing along.
Ladies and gentlemen I present Beyonce Knowles!!
Sit back, relax and ENJOY!!

'Cause I Think This Could Be More, The Thing I'm Looking For...

Things I Love - March!!
Primark Grey Shawl Cardigan - £8

Hey everyone!!
I'm feeling quite rough today.
No I didn't go on an all nighter last night and got completely off my face!!
I don't even have the stamina for that...
No unfortunately I have a coldy/flu thing which I hate and now I feel like absolute death. Now I know I had a runny nose last week; but after being caught in the snow/hail it's got worse. I now feel achey, runny nose, cough, sore throat - the works!! I have taken medicine but I still feel like crap and it doesn't help that tomorrow is my first day back at work. It's just typical that I'm actually ill when I go back to work - not fair.
Anyway...
Now I know I only bought this cardigan just over a week ago; but I am absolutely in love with it. Just like last months 'Things I Love', I have worn this cardigan on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday since I bought it. I think it's because this is such a versatile piece and even though it's grey, I will literally wear this with everything. The only problem is most of the outfits I have planned are for spring and summer. But oh well I will have to live with just layering it - like that’s a hardship. Another thing I love about this cardigan is it's similarity to the American Apparel Moda Shawl Cardigan. The only difference between the two is the Primark one is a thinner knit then the AA one - oh and the price. The funny thing is I was going to save up and buy the AA one; but when I actually found this cardigan in my size that idea went out the window. This cardigan was a tricky bugger to hunt down, as my local Primark only seemed to cater for stick insects and only had XS (not that there's anything wrong with being a stick insect). I kept going back for at least a month hoping to find this in my size; but alas no luck so I gave up on the idea. When I was in Leeds last week I didn't even think about looking for this item; but when Jaime and I went in to Primark it's all I could focus on. I literally scanned the whole of the knitwear and when I found it I literally ran to it. When I found my size (L just in case you were wondering) I was so happy!! I grabbed it and I think I held on to it a little too tightly. For £8 it was an absolute steal and well worth the money. I apologise again if you see this cardigan a lot; but I honestly can't imagine not wearing this with every outfit (apart from work). I think I've written more about this cardigan then any other item I own.
I may have actually fallen in love with a piece of clothing...nope not creepy at all!!
I think this proves - good things come to those who wait.

Fools Rush In, And I've Been Fooled Before...

Hat - New Look
Top(s) - H&M & Primark
Trousers - Warehouse
Cardigan - Primark
Shoes - New Look
Jewellery - H&M / New Look / Accessorize & Miss Selfridge
Hey Guys!!
It's Thursday!!
How did that happen??
Literally the weeks go past so quickly!!
Before we know it it'll be summer!!
I want it to be summer sooooooooooo badly!!
The sunshine...
The heat...
The topless men...
(You can see where I'm going with this...)
I love how sunny it's been lately!!
I actually went out today and it was surprisingly warm.
YES WARM!!!
I can't believe it either!!
I would blame it on my weird circulation; but I actually think it's warm.
I'm babbling again!!
Oops!!
Anyway...
Just a quick post today!!
This was me yesterday after I popped out to see my friend Leah.
Now I'm quite sad as I found out last week that Leah was moving back to America next week. I was in absolute shock when I read the text; but I know how much she wants to move back. But I'm thinking HOLIDAY!!! Gives me a good excuse to go to America and get on a plane. Now as I'm going to miss her sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much, we've decided to spend some time with each other before she goes. So originally yesterday we were meant to pop in to town and meet for a coffee. But as we should be saving up our pennies we decided to hang out at Leah's. I was meant to get to Leah's for 4pm; but seen as I was only popping to her house I decided not to rush. I did eventually leave the house and head down to the bus stop. This is the point where I mention that I really should watch the weather. I literally opened the door and the first words out of my mouth were 'oh s***!' I decided to wear ballet pumps in hail stones/snow (or whatever that was); I grabbed my umbrella and headed out. Through my journey I honestly lost all feeling in my feet. It literally didn't take long to get to Leah's and thankfully by then the weird weather stopped. I needed a sit down by the time I got there and it was nice to see Leah. I was also greeted by Pepsi and Cola the two lovely mongrels (I reckon they have flat back retriever in them). It was just fun catching up with Leah and reminiscing on old times. Spending a couple of hours having a chat was really nice, plus I was given lots of doggie love to Pepsi and Cola. I also got to meet her family which was really good, as I've only ever heard about them. Overall it was good to see Leah and we've planned on going to the cinema on Tuesday, so I'll let you know how that goes.
To the outfit...
I'm just going to mention my eyes, as I don't know if you think I look weird or not. I started with a simple line - well a simple line for me is half an eyelid; but I was soon colouring in the rest of the lid. I then for some unknown reason decided to put eye liner on my bottom lids. After mopping up the excess I think my first smokey eye turned out rather well. Anyway on to the outfit!! As I was only going round to Leah's I didn't want anything to dressed up. So I decided to chuck on my favourite baggy clothes and create this outfit. Everything you see here you've seen before and no doubt you'll see again; but I feel with this unpredictable weather you need to be comfortable. We all know my staples are a baggy top and my old faithful trousers, even though I need to be a bit more adventurous in my old age. I think for now I'm going to stick with comfort.
Well this has taken forever to finish and I've hardly written anything!!
It's nearly 10pm and I'm getting distracted sooooooooo easily!!
I think this is the time to end this post.
Till next time...

Hey Guys!!
How are we all??
Good??
YAY!!
You have no idea how much I'm enjoying my day at home!!
The long lie in, the sitting in front of the TV, spending time with Lilly...I love it all!!
The problem with being at home after a long time is that I now have too many recordings to watch.
INDECISION!!!
But at least I can watch mindless entertainment all day and all week.
Yes HERMIT TIME!!
I have missed that for the past - however many days it was...
It was fun going away but I'm glad I'm home!!
Plus I'm back to blogging!!
I know you all missed me...maybe??
I know I certainly missed this!!
I promise I'll be better from now on.
Well I can try...
I'm babbling!!
I always babble...
Literally all the time!!
Anyway...
This was me last week when I went away to Leeds for a few days to see my friend Jaime.
I decided I wanted to get away for a few days, so I asked Jaime if I could run away to Leeds. Thankfully she said yes so I booked my ticket and I was set. I didn't pack till literally the night before, as I honestly didn't know what I wanted to take (as usual). But by 2am (I think) I managed to come up with three looks. So I was up early on Thursday morning getting myself ready and yet I was still late. I literally had to run out of my house and straight to the train station; but thankfully I was still on time for my train. Before I knew it I was at London Victoria stocking up on food for the journey (yay doughnuts). I think I was waiting for about 40 minutes for my coach, which is quite good as I had time to relax before my 4 and a half hour journey. Yes. To get from London to Leeds it takes 4 and a half hours!! It's a good job I like National Express otherwise I wouldn't have been happy. I did take my book to read and I had a notebook to doodle in; but I literally spent 4 and half hours staring out the window/falling asleep. I have seen more of the M1 then I ever planned on to (not that I did originally plan on it); but at least it was straight up there via Wakefield. I will say one thing - you can tell when you're up north, because of how industrial everything looks with it's history still alive. I finally made it to Leeds and had to wait about 10 minutes for Jaime (I was early and she was late). I was so scared standing there not knowing anyone, that I was hoping Santa might walk past just to see a familiar face. When Jaime arrived we did the long walk back to her halls, which was almost like a guided tour as we walked straight through town. I love Leeds town hall as it's so pretty and reeks of history, I even took pictures of it on Friday. It was so weird being at Jaime's halls, as I was still in shock that she was at uni. Of course I know she's at university; but to actually see where she lives was a complete shock to me (good shock). Jaime has a nice en-suite room and it's a good size compared to some other halls I've seen. We relaxed for a bit before deciding to head to the Harvester. The walk there was soooooooo cold and I think slightly rainy, plus it didn't help that poor Jaime had a persistent cough and my nose kept running. It was about 20 minutes walk before we got to our destination. The Harvester in Leeds is such an odd set up. You see to me the Harvester is all about farming and the memorabilia on the wall; but in this one it was all modern and open planned and just weird. The food wasn't as good as home but we ate it anyway, plus our drinks were free as the waiter didn't check the bill (yayay). We headed back to Jaime's, (in again the cold and rain) and decided to end the night by watching Legally Blonde. Friday came around and let's just say we weren't in the mood to get up. We eventually got ready and walked in to town through the rain and cold. Leeds city centre is HUGE!! I think there are three shopping centres along with one being built, plus there are countless shops lining the streets. I must admit I didn't see all that Leeds has to offer; but I did pop in to Primark and pick up a cardigan (in Saturday's outfit) and top that says 'FREAK'. We also popped in to Urban Outfitters, as I always make a habit of going in to if there is one. We had lunch in a very modern, high class, expensive restaurant - yep McDonalds!! We were both feeling under the weather with my cold and Jaime's cough, that we decided to grab some snacks and head back to the halls. We spent the rest of the evening watching Lee Evans Roadrunner, Ted and Accepted. There was even a sneaky bowl of late night chips involved. Soon enough Saturday came around and it was time to go home. We headed down to the bus station with a friend of Jaime's and popped in to Greggs. There are literally 9 Greggs in Leeds!! 9!! So I felt I had to go to one before I left, because I felt my time in Leeds wouldn't be complete without it. I was a bit annoyed that they didn't have an apple danish, but I ended up getting quite a nice banana muffin from the Pumpkin Cafe. I said goodbye to Jaime and her friend and waited in the National Express bit for what feels like forever. It didn't help that I couldn't read the screen with all the times on; but thankfully one of the blokes who worked there did an announcement about my coach and I went and asked. Soon enough I was on the coach doing the exact same thing I did going; but the other way all the way to London Victoria. Thankfully my Dad met me and protected me from the loud football crowds. I eventually got home and it was the nicest feeling in the world!! I enjoyed my time away and it was great to see Jaime; but I did miss home and I was glad to be back.
To the outfit...
Now I don't have a picture of Thursday's outfit, because long story short we were both tired and it was dark (not to mention we were full of cold and cough). Just picture an exact replica of Friday's outfit but with a camouflage t-shirt and green lumberjack shirt. I basically planned on wearing the same outfit just with 3 different tops. I had to fit a pillow and a sleeping bag in my suitcase, so there was no room for taking three completely different outfits. In my Friday outfit I'm wearing a new top that I picked up in Primark. With Disneyland Paris happening in October, Charlie and I wanted to start stocking up on Disney clothes now. I saw Mickey Mouse dollar sign tank top a while ago in Primark and knew I had to pick it up. I think it was only £6 and I thought it was a bargain. There are so many ways I can style this piece, in this outfit I chucked a lumberjack shirt over the top (unfortunately you can't see that under my layers). You will definitely be seeing this top again!! I slightly changed my Saturday outfit, as instead of a lumberjack shirt I threw on my new Primark cardigan. I spoke about this cardigan in my last post; but I will just mention again how much I love this cardigan. Literally every outfit that comes to mind involves this cardigan, so I apologise now if you get sick of seeing it - I know I won't!!
Well this is an extremely long post!!
There might be another OOTD tomorrow if not then Thursday; but other then that I think there'll be a few other posts. I'm going to be updating more as I feel I want to keep up appearances.
Well I guess I should finally finish this, as in total it's taken me five hours to do (I took a break and I get distracted).
Can I relax now??
Thank you!!

Mother's Right Here, Mother Will Protect You...

Hey Everyone!!
Yes I'm back again!!
I would have done this sooner but my laptop was boiling.
I think it believes it's a heater or something...
Not to mention I have a bit sticking out the side of my laptop!!
I have no idea what it is!!
I suck at technology!!
Why do they have to make it so complicated??
Anyway...
As I said in my earlier post I am currently signed off from work.
(Sunday not Monday - long story)
I have been off for the past two weeks, so I'm back to work next week.
Needless to say I'm not entirely happy.
I think the idea of work freaks me out and yet when I'm there I'm fine.
It's all about your attitude and happy thoughts!!
My attitude is fine and as for the happy thoughts...well you know me.
But anyway I do my usual shift on a Monday and that suits me fine.
I do babble a bit don't I??
Well I'll stop!!
Anyway (again)...
Just a short playlist today!!
First thing's first...
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!
Yes it's that one day a year where we spoil our mother's rotten (apart from their birthday and Christmas).
I just want to take a moment here to talk a bit about mothers and what they mean to me. Through all my years of hardship and crap, my Mum has always been the one person there cheering me on. When I thought there was no one to turn to, my Mum would always be the one person who would listen. No matter where my Mum is, she always makes sure that she's there for me no matter what. Mother's are there to be cherished and to be unconditionally loved, just like they love us. I love my Mum to bits and I honestly don't know what I would do without her!!
When it comes to themes this week I think it's pretty clear what it is. I'm going to dedicate it to one of my favourite people...no not Johnny Depp!! Someone who loves me more (can you believe it) and of course someone I love more (yes I know - terrible).
My Mum!!
As it is Mother's Day I thought I would hand over my Sunday playlist over to my Mum. I think my Mum is slightly excited by this and I'm glad that she is. I will warn her music taste can be just as varied and odd as me; but hey I think that's just an Allen thing. I think it's about time I let my Mum loose on my Sunday playlist, (or should I say her Sunday playlist).
So I now hand my playlist over to my Mum.
So sit back, relax and ENJOY!!

Hey Everyone!!
How are we all??
Good??
YAY!!
I'm so sorry that I haven't updated but I went away for a few days to Leeds.
(More on that another day).
But I'm now back!!
You might be thinking 'this is an odd Sunday post??'
Well you're right!!
There will be a Sunday playlist as well but I wanted to get an ootd in.
I'm trying to redeem myself as a good blogger!!
I hope it works!!
Anyway...
This is really going to be a quick and tiny post.
This was me earlier today after I came back from Oscar's
Now as you guys know today is Mother’s Day!!
HAPPY MUMMY DAY!!!
So as I'm signed off from work (did I mention that??) my Mum decided now would be a good time to celebrate Mother’s Day. Now we never usually celebrate Mother’s Day, it's usually Father’s Day when we do something so it's about time we changed that. We went as a family to Oscar's my favourite buffet place in town, and needless to say I ate like a pig. I now have a little food baby which I need to get rid of!! Overall I think my Mum and Nan enjoyed their little Mother’s Day trip.
To the outfit...
I wanted to dress really casual today so I chucked on my new cardigan from Primark. I've been after this cardigan for what feels like months (it might be actually); but every time I went in to my local one they only ever had an XS. I almost gave up hope; but when I was in Primark on Friday in Leeds I was hoping to find this cardigan. I literally scanned the knitwear department and when I saw this I ran to it. I'm so happy I bought this, I wore it home yesterday and today and I'm in love with it. I like that it looks similar to the American Apparel Moda Shawl Cardigan, plus at the price of £8 it's a complete and utter bargain instead of the £66. I only wish I could wear it to work. This is my new t-shirt from New Look. I ordered this t-shirt a while ago but I haven't had a chance to wear it yet. I love Paris so when I saw this for £8.99 I knew I had to have it. It has a new loose bagginess to the t-shirt and a good length to it. I think this new graphic/baggy t-shirt trend is one of my favourite ones. You can expect to see more here!!
I do apologise for this post not being as long as it usually is; but I have been away and I'm as dead as a doornail (I literally did a 9 hour round trip).
Stay tuned for a Sunday playlist!!
Just need to think of a theme...

Summer Comes And Winter Fades...

A little bit of inspiration for March!!
Yes March has arrived!!
Another month means two things - a new payday and a new reason to shop!!
(You can tell I have my priorities in check).
Now although it is technically spring, there doesn't seem to be any sign of it apart from a bit of sunshine. Don't get me wrong I'm not knocking the sunshine; just wish it was warmer instead of the arctic temperatures. But let's not dwell on our current weather situation instead we should celebrate it. No I haven't gone insane - I believe that layering up has become more of a trend this season then before. Whether it's a t-shirt and dungarees, jumper and shirt combo or your usual outfit and coat; I think layering is definitely a trend that the whole world is wearing. Surely we should look towards the warm spring weather and then of course summer...maybe we should?? But for now let's enjoy the layering and any excuse to stay cosy and warm for the next month!!
You know what that means...
HERMIT TIME!!

Hey guys!!
It's Monday!!
A new week has begun and it's here for a full 7 days!!
Who'd a thunk??
But hey that means 7 days of fun!!
Well HERMIT TIME!!!
YAYAYAYAY!!
I assure you I plan on being a boring old fart this week and do nothing.
(I think this is the part where I say 'famous last words!!')
I just want a boring week!!
Is that too much to ask for??
I reckon my tiredness is talking for me!!!
I'M SO TIRED!!!
When am I not...
I don't think I've recovered from Friday!!
I blame the Cotswolds!!
Anyway...
Just a quick post today!!
This was me yesterday after I popped to Bluewater for lunch with Charlie.
Now I guess you could say it was planned (she kept bugging me for two days); but as to our destination that was spontaneous. I originally didn't want to go out as being in bed seemed like a better solution, but when I thought about my options for dinner I didn't want any of it. I eventually got up and out of bed without any fuss, I even washed my hair - I know!! I actually washed my hair without any fuss, it simply was pure spontaneity. I was running 10 minutes late but I don't think Charlie minded so much, (I’m always late - I really am). We got in the car and mutually agreed to go to Bluewater as we didn't fancy Bromley. We arrived at Bluewater in no time and parked as near to John Lewis as we could. We did accidentally walk the wrong way round, so the walk to the restaurant was longer then expected. We ended up going to Giraffe which is a really nice joint and it's the third time we've gone. We had a little heart to heart and just a general chat which was nice. I feel like Charlie and I always have grown up chats when we're out and about (weird). I had a veggie breakfast with chips and Charlie had a burrito, she also had a chicken dumpling starter while I had a desert. Right now I wanted to try a key lime pie which I've wanted to try for soooo long. Now my understanding of a key lime pie was a lime sponge on a biscuit base and egg whites on top - this wasn't what I got!! The key lime pie that I received was on a biscuit base but was surrounded by cream. It didn't taste like lime (except for the 'marmalade' underneath it); plus I had to scrape off the chocolate on top. Overall I did like it (you wouldn't believe it); so if you are ever at Giraffe do try the key lime pie just make sure you have no expectations. After lunch Charlie and I headed to the Disney Store to get me a present!! This is always my favourite part of any trip we do. I ended up getting the Cheshire Cat cushion, as I love the Cheshire Cat and pretty much any 'Alice inWonderland' characters (Mad Hatter is my favourite and the Queen of Hearts). We also had a look around Forever 21 where Charlie saw an old uni friend, so I decided to have a look around while she had a chat. Home time loomed so we decided to head back to the car and home. Definitely a different Sunday compared to what I'm used to; but I enjoyed it and I hope we do it more often. Don't I have the nicest sister!!
To the outfit...
Now as you can see I decided to make more of an effort with my outfit yesterday. It's really not that hard to put together an outfit that actually looks half decent. I based this outfit around my new Primark skater dress, which I picked up last Thursday. As you guys know I popped in to town last week to do some shopping with Charlie and my mum. I accidentally spent more in Primark then I originally planned (one t-shirt turned in 6). I did pick this skater dress up for £13 which I've been wanting for ages. Every time I go in to Primark I always mean to pick this dress up; but I always forget about it and buy something else. This time I saw this dress on its own and the fact it was in my size meant it was fate (to me). I like the fit but you can see my lumps and bumps (well within reason) and the sleeves are long but wrist length on me. The length is short but it's fine for what I need and I like the red/black marl sort of print. My belt that I have on here was an absolute bargain for only £1.99 from Oxfam. I fell in love with this belt when I saw it among others, the gold lion heads drawing me in. There is a lion head on the buckle and then spaced apart around the belt itself. I've wanted a lion necklace for a while but I feel it's overrated now, so I like this alternative and also a different spin on the trend.
BTW check out my new OOTD video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBrWnIg42wM
Well I think I've spent longer writing this then actually being out yesterday!!
I get distracted so damn easily especially now 'Shakespeare in Love' is on (soooooooooo funny).
I'm looking forward to a bit of HERMIT TIME tomorrow!!
YAYAYAY!!
Oh wait I have to go out...BOOOOOOOO!!!!!
I want to be a hermit!!
Who's with me??
