Hey guys!!
It's Friday!!
How is that even possible??
This time last week I was getting
ready to go to my cousin’s party and this week I'm on the sofa chilling with
Lilly.
What a difference a week makes!!
One thing that doesn't change -
tiredness.
Yes I'm tired as per usual but I've
been up since 4 something this morning!!
Yes 4!!
So I'm now on overdrive and I don't
really feel that tired; but I know it's going to kick in at some point.
It will kick in...probably about
3am!!
I have such an odd sleeping pattern!!
I know I always say that but it's
completely true.
I really do babble on don't I??
I CAN'T HELP IT!!
Now before you say anything - yes I
do look like a cluster f*** today!!
By this point I had been up for
practically 12 hours so I was dead, therefore I'm blaming my appearance on lack
of sleep etc.
Anyway...
Just a quick post today!!
This was me earlier today after
having a road trip to the Cotswolds with Charlie and Dad.
So like I said I went on a bit of a
family road trip to the Cotswolds today with Charlie and Dad, as Charlie had a
job interview up there (or over there - wherever it is). Now you're probably
thinking 'isn't that a bit far??' Well yes it is but she wouldn't be doing the
3 hour commute everyday. I was forced to wake up at 4 something in the morning,
as Charlie had to be at her destination by 8:45am. We started our 3 and a bit
hour journey about 5:20am (yes too early). Dad decided to take the first shift
driving, which was hilarious as he looks like a giant in Mildred. I did plug myself
in to Spotify on my phone, as I wasn't ready to communicate with anyone other
then Princess Violet (my unicorn cuddle buddy). Basically it was a long journey
and we stopped half way through just to stop me from getting seized up. We
eventually arrived at our destination after what felt like forever;
unfortunately we arrived in the cold and wet - fun times!! Charlie went off to
her interview, while my Dad and I tried to figure out what to do. Why does
nothing open until 9am?? It is so unfair that I have to walk around in the cold
and rain waiting for shops to open. Dad and I decided to take in the sights
(well what was there); to kill time but it didn't help that much. We headed to
a cafe afterwards for breakfast, where I guilted my Dad in to buying me a
proper breakfast (he said we weren't allowed anything and then got himself a
bacon roll). Afterwards we headed to the library (like the dorks we were); to
kill even more time as we weren't sure how long Charlie would be. I picked up
the Marie Claire Spring/Summer
Collections (from Sainsbury's),
a book for 20p about how the Bismarck was
sunk, (my inner historian wanted to come out). There was a little toddler group
that Dad and I wanted to join; but we kinda decided that I was slightly too old
by a year or two. Charity shop shopping occurred after a bit of wondering
around. I managed to pick up a genuine Michael
Kors scarf for £1.99!! I KNOW!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT EITHER!! I also picked
up a lion black and gold belt, a pink floral pleated skirt (all from Oxfam), an Egyptology book (from Cotswolds
something or an other), a Mickey and Minnie picture and Louis Vuitton
scarf (don't know if it's real or not from Mind)
and my Dad got me a cameo brooch. The crazy part is that I hardly spent any
money and yet I got a small collection of some pretty good stuff. Dad and I
also checked out the heritage centre, where I was more interested in a bank
robbery and murder in 1833 then anything else. Eventually we headed back to
meet Charlie and began our journey home. We did stop on the way home and picked
up some food (I had chips). I was so glad to get home after such a long
journey!! I'm just glad that I get to stay at home while the others went out.
Yayayay!!
To the outfit...
Now like I said earlier I know this
outfit looks a bit of a cluster f***, but it's cold outside and I need to layer
up. Unfortunately my layers are all odd colours and never seem to match one and
other. I have two new items here to show you; but first I would like to welcome
back my Rocco bag. I've decided to give my quilted bag a rest and seen as I
always used to use my Rocco, I thought it would be a good alternative. Now the
first thing to show you is my new pink
jumper. Yes I know it's pink but for some reason I was just drawn to this.
I was in H&M yesterday with Mum and
Charlie (we were looking for an interview outfit); when I was having a gander
at the sale where I saw this. It was on its own and originally I was showing
this to Charlie for her, but I just really liked it and I couldn't stop looking
at it. Another lady picked it up but thankfully she put it back down again. I
eventually decided to go for it and for £10 I think it's a good versatile
piece. It's an angora blend so it's very fluffy and on occasion itchy; but I'm
sure I'll get used to it over time. The second item I want to point out is my
grey marl leg warmers. I only saw these while I was in the queue and I decided
I liked the idea of leg warmers. I used to wear them back in 2009/10 with ankle
boots; but I felt as if I outgrew them over the years. I liked these ones
because of the length of them and the fact they were £2 in the sale. I wore
them under my maxi skirt today, as I could only find my crop leggings so I
needed something to cover the rest. They actually did the job and my legs were
kept toasty and warm. You might be seeing more of these (if I can figure out a
non 80's throwback look).
Well I'm still in overdrive so I'm
not feeling the tiredness just yet; but I'm sure it will happen at one point.
So now I'm just relaxing at home with Lilly having some Bohannan time!!
He really is my bit of rough!!
Why do I always fall in love with
characters in books, films and TV programmes??
Mi sono innamorato di una favola...
B x
