Hey guys!!
How are you all??
Good??
That's what I like to hear!!
I'm back again today!!
Its lovely sunshine outside which I
think I nearly died in (ok I’m exaggerating)…
Friday's weather was sooooooo weird
though!!
It was raining and yet it was
sweltering - how does that work??
I tell you the underground on Friday
was HORRIBLE!!
The worst part was waiting for 15
minutes because the tube was delayed...
FUN TIMES!!
Anyway...
I'm just going to get on with it...
Just a quick one today!!
This was me on Friday after I came
back from my extensive trip in LDN.
I had to make a trip up to Finsbury Park as I was due to do an assessment up
there (just keeping my options open). Seen as I was going up to London anyway, I decided
to go via Oxford Street
as I haven't been up there in ages. I didn't exactly jump out of bed; but
saying that I was at the station at 11am and I was on the train at quarter
past. I headed to London Bridge (I missed the Victoria train) and then hopped on the underground.
Now any other time I can't stand the underground; but unfortunately on Friday
there was no avoiding the inevitable. So yesterday I went on the northern line,
central line, Victoria line and then back on
the Victoria
line and ending back on the northern line. Yes I travelled quite a lot
yesterday and that's not including the two trains to get to and from London. I eventually made
it up to Oxford Circus (even after being delayed at Bank station for 15
minutes) and decided to head to Carnaby
Street. It was raining and yet I was sweltering
(don't ask); so I kept going in and out of shops like Monki, Cheap
Monday, Office and American
Apparel. I literally had to stop myself from buying the Disco
Pants (WHY ARE YOU SO EXPENSIVE?!?!?!?!?) I headed up to the back of
Carnaby to Lazy Oaf and MAC (they never have the Violetta
lipstick when I want it); but time was running out so I head back to Oxford Street. I
did pop in to & Other Stories, which
I really liked but I was too preoccupied to fully appreciate it. I went in to Oasis and
drooled over all the nice clothes, if only we could have them in our little
concession. Topshop
was absolutely heaving!! I literally scanned the ground floor and then headed
down to the clothes. The sale was huge and I didn't know where to look, so I
headed to all the size 16 signs. Within 10 minutes I had picked up a few things
and headed to the changing rooms. I ended up getting a really cool jumper,
which some may not like but I think it kicks ass!! I ran out and hopped on the
tube to Finsbury Park. It's certainly not what I expected
it to be, but I can recommend their Greggs (two sugar doughnuts saved my life).
I headed to the college and thanks to my A-Z I got there 10 minutes early. Just
over two hours later I was out of there feeling confident; unfortunately I now
know Algebra is not my strong point. I hopped on the underground again and then
again (I changed at Euston); to London
Bridge where my train was
pretty much waiting for me. I got home just after 5pm which was quick; but I
had pretty much run down my batteries by then. A long day but at least it kept
me busy!!
To the outfit...
I'm wearing brown!
Yes I decided to wear more earthy
colours to be at one with nature...eurgh NO! In fact this earthy outfit is
based around one of my favourite purchases from last payday - my new Zara shirt. Now I actually can't remember
the last time I went in to Zara and
bought something. It was most probably when I was younger and I was addicted to
the motif t-shirts (still addicted but not with Zara's); so going in as an adult changed my
POV of the brand. I went in to Zara to
have a look at the famous City
bag; but after staring at it for a while my Mum and I decided against it
(it didn't suit my style). At this point I had lost interest and wanted to go;
but Charlie went a bit trigger happy and wanted to try everything on. I joined
in and tried a few things on, but nothing seemed to look right. I remembered
seeing this shirt on a rail and asked my Mum if she could go pick it up. When I
put the shirt on I liked it, but it wasn't until I paired it with my skirt that
I knew I wanted it. It was £29.99 but it's a good quality and has a lovely
tribal print on it. The fact that it's oversized sold it to me and I can't wait
to pair it with 99.9% of my wardrobe. This is the only time I'm going to
mention this - I LOVE MY DUNGAREES!!!!
God I'm knackered!!
It was so boiling today and after a
long day of shopping (I didn't pick much up); I'm quite sleepy. Well now I'm
relaxing watching 'Nadia G's Bitchin'
Kitchen' with Charlie and Lilly.
Let's see who falls asleep first...
B x
