HONEY I'M HOME!!!
Yes I'm back from my mini getaway with Charlie!!
(Just in case you didn't know, you do now).
For the past two and a half days I've been in Cirencester in the picturesque Cotswolds. I've spent pretty much my whole life in Cirencester and after 19 and a half years it can get pretty boring; but when you see the beauty of the old buildings and the amazing church it perks you up. Charlie and I stayed in a nice little B&B called The Old Brewhouse, which was the perfect country setting for a weekend (or week) getaway. Personally I'm going to stick to hotels as the idea of staying in a B&B again freaks me out, it was nice for the amount of time but it felt weird staying in someone else’s house. We even ventured to the Corinium Museum which we haven't been to in years!! It's completely changed and modernised (not that I remember what it used to be like I was so young); but if you're interested in the Romans it'll be perfect for you. My favourite part of Cirencester is an antique shop which you could almost mistake for a museum. I'm always fascinated by everything I see there and pretty much want everything, I usually go hunting for cameos but they're always too expensive for me. I did pick up two old books about myths and legends which are my favourite stories to read, especially as these are children’s stories with beautiful illustrations and for only £2 each they're unbelievable collectables. I also did pick up some high street finds (other then two books from Waterstones). I actually spent my money in Dorothy Perkins I always love their sales especially with the jewellery. I did pick up this chain horse print vest that I've actually been after for months but I've been putting it off, so when I went in to Dot P's yesterday and saw it for £10 (even though it's £8 on the website) I new I had to have it. I picked up four pieces of jewellery - a silver cross ring, a gold cross on a long material chain, a turquoise cross necklace and a cream triangle necklace (I'm no good at describing things). I did also pick up the Warehouse shirt from House of Fraser that I have been after for ages!! But as it was £45 and that to me is too much so I didn't get it; but when it went in to the sale I hunted high and low for it but unfortunately no luck. By sheer chance Charlie and I popped in to House of Fraser yesterday, while looking through the sale I saw it there and to my surprise it was my size!! The best part of the whole finding adventure is that the shirt was reduced to £9.60!! Yes I did just say that and yes I'm just as shocked as you. The best find I've had in years!!
To the outfits...
Now as there are three outfits to cover I'm just going to pick an item out and talk a little about it. When it comes to Monday's outfit I wanted something with a wow factor. Now I've had this blazer for quite some time now but I haven't had the chance yet to wear it, it's just been hanging up collecting dust so I decided it was about time it got taken out. It's from Primark and I originally liked the green version, but after talking with my Mum we both decided that the black and white pattern would be more me. They did matching trousers and shorts but I thought the blazer on its own would be a statement enough. I think this will be perfect for college. Tuesday's outfit I've had in my mind for a while now but as usual I forget and choose something else. This t-shirt from Topshop and is a good few years old, in fact I actually remember making my Mum buy this for me. Now seen as see is a skull print you would think I’d wear this a lot - you would be wrong, I never wear this top and even though I do love it there's always something else to wear. I am now making it my mission to wear this more often. Today's outfit is all about comfort for the journey home. It took me weeks to figure out what to wear home so I just chucked this in my suitcase. As you can see I'm wearing my Alexy boots from Topshop which I absolutely love; but absolutely kill my feet at the moment. I don't think my idea to wear them in, in Cirencester where all you do is walk and not take flats worked. I do love these boots they're amazing but all I need to do is my a few alterations and they will be extra perfect. Also my ASOS backpack is a dream come true!! I have used it everyday since Sunday and I just love it best purchase of last week.
I'm so glad to be home and relaxing!!
I do have an early morning tomorrow as I have a check up at the docs and maybe pop to the cinema; but we'll see where the day takes me.
Which no doubt will be straight back to bed...
B x
