HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
WOO!!!
Yes 2013 is finally here and it's only taken 365 days!!
Did you all have a good NYE??
I had a quiet one where by the time it hit midnight, I was watching Home on the Range with a sleepy Charlie and Mum.
I did end up going to bed soon after and listening to Spotify till 2am (I'm regretting it now).
But I rang in the New Year in a way that pretty much sums me up.
With the beginning of 2013 marks the start of a new blogging year!!
And I hope this year I can be an even better blogger and vlogger then I was in 2012!!
Anyway...
Just a quick post today!!
This was me earlier today after popping in to town and going to my favourite place Oscar's.
So pretty much I have been eating like a pig since Boxing Day. Not only did I eat sooooooooooo much on Boxing Day; but I pigged out on Saturday for Jaime's birthday meal and today I tore up a buffet. I should probably explain...Oscar's is one of my favourite places to go and we've been going for years. I always love a good buffet and I always head for the same food. They do giant mussels and no joke I ate 13 of them!! Yes I did eat that much!! Not to mention the 2 starters, 2 main courses and a desert (with a little extra on the side); that diet and getting fit healthy is going to have to wait for a while. I ate too much and was literally going to explode, (still kinda do but I have this odd ache in my side like a stitch). It was a nice family meal and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. Before Oscar's, Charlie and I popped in to town to run an errand. While I was there I tried on a dress that Charlie and my Mum had seen for me, and O M G they know me so well. This dress just reminded me of Grace Kelly and when I tried on the long version I felt exactly like her. I wasn't as excited with the shorter one because it didn't have the Princess effect. I'm now in love and I need this dress in my life!! It feels like it's been a long day even though I was sitting down for most of it. I did walk home with Charlie as she wasn't feeling 100%, so I now have a hot water bottle between my legs keeping them warm (that sounds a bit wrong).
To the outfit...
I apologise now for my hair being up but for some reason it hates me today.
Whenever I go to Oscar's I always feel like I overdress (like here and here); so I wanted to look more casual especially for a Tuesday afternoon. I did have an outfit originally planned, but because of running the errand I would have freezed so I was in a dilemma. I honestly had no idea what to wear (as I always do) and it wasn't till last night that I came up with this. Now I picked up this skater dress in the New Look sale last Friday. Overall the New Look sale was rubbish but when I saw this I got a bit excited. It was hiding behind a couple of other things and it was by sheer flook that it was a size 16. I tried it on and immediately loved it and for £6 you can't complain. I wanted to add a bit off colour so I dug out my Warehouse cardigan, I had picked up in Cheltenham earlier this year at a snippet of the price. I borrowed Charlie's belt just to keep in with the theme and kept the bottom simple. I had to add some spikes in somewhere!! I think next time I need to wear stretchy things rather then tights.
I'm currently cosying up with Wordsworth and my hot water bottle watching Doctor Who.
I really don't like Doctor Who but when you have a Dad and a sister who likes it, you kinda get roped in to watching episodes you'd rather not.
I will claim the remote at one point but until then I think I'll watch YouTube videos.
Happy New Year Everyone!!
And here's hoping 2013 is a good year!!
Fingers crossed...
B x
