It's my first Monthly Want of the year!!

Woo!!

As it's January 2014, I thought I would do something different this month and pick something unconventional for a monthly want. That means no clothes, shoes, jewellery, accessories or anything remotely fashion related - well I suppose this could count.

Anyway…

How cute is this camera??

Now I know what you're saying - 'I thought you didn't like pink!' and yes you would be right; but there is something so sweet about this colour pink. It reminds me of spring and innocence (weird I know). This camera looks good enough to eat - I wouldn't recommend that though. The colour is perfect for the spring/summer pastel trend and also it reminds me of sweets. I'm babbling again aren't I?? The point I'm trying to make is, before you even think about the actual camera and how it works, the colour is enough to draw you in. I think my favourite out of the selection is the vibrant yellow. It reminds me of summer memories and of course, the sun. The camera itself is such a clever idea! Now we all like taking photos (I have to admit I reckon I'm getting better at it); but there's a new phenomena with instant photos. Whether it's linked to social media like Instagram or the sudden appearance of photo booths everywhere, the need to capture moments in an instant has become more popular than before. With 21st century technology more apparent than ever, the need for a new invention to satisfy our new technology needs. Everyone loves a polaroid camera and this Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Instant Camera is no exception. I first discovered this little beauty via a few of my favourite YouTubers. It was one of those moments where I saw this in a picture and knew I needed it immediately. This is such a fun way to capture important moments without the fuss of a big SLR camera. The Instax Mini is compact and easy to carry around you, so it would be perfect for holidays (like Disneyland Paris in December) or even days out. The various colours you can choose from is a great way to personalise the camera to fit your personality. This camera puts the 'Fun' in Functional! 

The Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Instant Camera is definitely on my wish list.
