You'll Love Me At Once, The Way You Did Once, Upon A Dream...

Music Love - January!!

Something a little different today…

As you guys may know I love Disney (just in case that hasn't come across to you) and because of this love (more like obsession); I'm always interested in the new films that are coming out. The other day Charlie showed me the trailer for 'Maleficent' with Angelina Jolie and O M G it looks effing amazing!! I honestly thought I wouldn't want to go see it; but I'm now hooked and counting down the days until I do. Now just in case you didn't know 'Sleeping Beauty' is not only my favourite Disney movie, but my favourite movie in general. Aurora is also my favourite Disney princess, so I think you can guess how many times I've listened to the original version of 'Once Upon a Dream' (I even have it tattooed on me). The original itself is beautiful and when Emily Osment did her cover of it for the re-release of 'Sleeping Beauty' (here), I was a little skeptical but I loved that version too. When it came to the film 'Maleficent', it didn't even occur to me that a new rendition of 'Once Upon a Dream' would be brought out. So when I was watching the trailer and the hauntingly beautiful voice of Lana Del Rey was singing my favourite song, I couldn't have been happier. I am a fan of Lana and her rendition of 'Once Upon a Dream' is LITERALLY the stuff of dreams. This is the song I imagine the phantom of the opera would waltz to with Christine, or the song Count Dracula would seduce women to (yes I have an overactive imagination). It is a hauntingly beautiful rendition which I have had on repeat while writing this post. Usually I wouldn't write about just one song; but because it has a personal connection to me I thought I would share it with you. 

'Once Upon a Dream' is not only a song; but an escape for us all - especially for me!

I hope you all become addicted to this song just as much as me!!
