Hello Everyone!!
TGIF!!!
I can't believe its Friday already!!!
Is it just me or do the weeks seem to
go faster as time goes on?
As I said yesterday I have no college
today, so it feels good sleeping in till 1pm and then relax on the sofa
listening to the Guys
and Dolls soundtrack!!
(Marlon Brando is
singing to me!!!!)
I have another lie in tomorrow
(yayayay); but I'm back to the old routine come Sunday morning.
Anyway...
This was me yesterday after my first
week at college.
I talked a lot about college
yesterday, so I'm not going to recap all that cause it would just bore both you
and me. In fact I don't know what to talk about...for once I'm speechless!!
Ooooo I think I'm going to talk about University, now anyone who doesn't want
to read this then your welcome to scroll down to about the outfit; but if you
do thank you. Now in one of my posts I did about starting college, I mentioned
I was 70% sure I wanted to go to University - now I'm 80%. You guys already
know me and education are not a match made in heaven, but yet I seem to always
go back to it (like the mistress I can't get rid of). So the fact that the
percentage has gone up by 10% is a bit of a shock, let me explain. It all
started on Tuesday when my tutor had read my first paragraph of my personal
statement and gave me feedback, it was all positive I just had to change a few
things but apart from that it was good. That came as a shock as only a few days
before I had told her I wasn't sure about Uni or the course. The percentage
began to grow after talking to a few of my classmates about being stuck here.
And that’s when I thought the only way I'm gonna get away from home is
University, (well the only way my parents won't be against...oh wait I forgot
about my Dad). I've still have two months to figure it out but even then I'm
going to apply anyway. It’s just going to be scary when I hand my UCAS in and it's all in their
hands. Wow that is actually scary!! I have two more Universities to look at one
next week and one in October, and then I'll decide which one I want to put as
my first choice.
SCARY!!!
To the outfit...
I literally chucked this on in the
morning with 5 minutes to spare and I think it looks good.
I first saw this skirt on LLYMRS and I really wanted
to get it, as I missed out first time round with the black one. I was a little
bit worried about this skirt as Lily styled an amazing outfit with it (here); but she did say it was quite
hard to style. I bought it a few weeks ago but I honestly thought I would take
it back; I kept trying it on at home and writing a list of tops that would
match. Even up to yesterday I was still a bit sceptical up until the point
where I grabbed it, ripped off the tags and chucked it on. Yeah I think I'm
going to keep it!! But O M G isn't it short!! When I sat down you could see the
shorts I was wearing underneath, (well a pair of leggings I cut up) I kept
making sure the pleats covered it. What didn't help as well is the weather -
yes it was windy and I had to literally hold my skirt down. Yeah not fun!! I
kept the rest of the outfit very simple with the white tank top and my old
faithful (and falling apart) boots, I added my camouflage cardigan as well just
for that little bit extra.
This is my second attempt of
finishing this blog (yes I stopped for a few hours).
I am still on the sofa except now I'm
watching Man vs Food!!
It feels good to tap in to my inner
teenager and do absolutely nothing!!
Never lasts...
B x
