Afternoon Everyone!!!
How are we all??
Good??
That's what I like to hear!!
I'm still full of cold so whenever I wake up my nose tingles.
Not good but hey here's hoping it goes.
Anyway...
Just a quick post today!!
This was me yesterday after I ran some errands in town.
Now I originally planned on hibernating this week (well apart from Tuesday); but unfortunately I had run out of food...well not exactly run out but I was craving something I didn't have. So I decided to pop in to town not only to pick up some food; but River Island just happened to have a 20% off Student Shop-in and I thought why not. I didn't exactly wake up very early as I'm not sleeping very well at the moment; I seem to be up at 1 or 2 in the morning which is unlike me. So eventually I rolled out of bed and spent forever getting ready (as I usually do). Again I couldn't figure out what to wear but more on that later. I wish someone would have told me how cold it was yesterday, because O M G I literally froze to death yesterday (well not literally). I eventually got in to town and headed straight to River Island. I bought a necklace off the website last week and when I received it, it wasn't exactly what I expected it to be so I decided to take it back. It was really cheap but I thought that money could be put to something else, rather then keeping a necklace that I would never wear. Initially I was looking for a beanie but there wasn't one that really stood out, so I was about to give up and just get a refund when I stumbled upon a t-shirt. Now I initially saw this Black New York City Oversized T-shirt on the website but my size was sold out. So when I saw it in the shop hiding behind another top, I knew it was meant to be. I think £15 is a reasonable price, but with the money off it from the necklace and 20% student discount it was a steal at £9.60!! It really is oversized but I do love a baggy top. I picked up the Look magazine and Company after hunting it down. I was home within an hour and a half I really didn't spend much or do anything. Well tell a lie I froze that's something.
To the outfit...
Now as I said I had no idea what to wear with the cold weather, (I use the word cold loosely as it is freezing). The only guaranteed thing I know to wear is boots! I don't own a lot of jumpers (although it looks like it); so I try and layer up to keep warm unfortunately that doesn't work. Even though I've found my pea coat (I say me but really my Mum actually found it); but I'm still reluctant to wear it as I want to keep wanting to wear my leather and camouflage jackets. I wanted to wear my hoody as it's fleecy and I thought it would be the best option to keep me warm, plus I always like matching it with my camouflage jacket. I wanted to keep a plain base of just black and white and have the pop of colour with the blue hoody. I will briefly mention my fingerless gloves that I think they are the best invention; the only problem is I feel like a tramp with them on. I definitely need to invest in a good pair of gloves, because that is something I don't actually own.
I'm currently relaxing on the sofa with my Mum and Lilly, while watching The Real Housewives of New York City!!
This is pretty much my life at the moment.
Do I need some excitement in my life??
Nah!!

Morning Everyone!!
How are we all on this Wednesday morning??
Good??
Well at least someone is!!
You see my family and I have been infected with something known as the 'common cold'.
BOOOOO!!!
And let me tell you something...IT SUCKS!!!
I constantly feel like I've been dragged through a hedge (and not in a good way *wink wink*).
Anyway...
This was me yesterday after spending time at a Nintendo focus group with theMuse.tv.
Now a while a go I received an email from theMuse.tv, asking for volunteers to attend a focus group for a fashion Nintendo game. I didn't see the email until the day after it was sent, so when I decided to volunteer I had a feeling I wouldn't get it. But low and behold I received an email a couple of days later (or was it the day after I can't remember); saying that I got it (kinda thing) and to email them back with my details. I got really excited as I didn't know what to expect. Long story short I was to attend the focus group on Tuesday 4th December at 6pm. Waiting around yesterday was absolute torture!! I was so dead from my cold, (not literally) and half asleep that I was not in the mood to do anything. I watched most of my recordings in the morning to amuse me; but by the time my Dad came home from my Nan.J's I was in a state of boredom. This continued on for another hour and a half until I decided to get my butt in to gear and get ready. I have to admit I was in a lazy mood yesterday and I couldn't be bothered to wash my hair, so I thought it was about time I busted out the hair extensions again. Now I do look better in these extensions then the last time I wore them, I think the layers in my hair help them slot in better plus I positioned them more accurately. I'm still not amazing yet as under that bowler hat you could see all the clips. I'm slowly getting there though. I won't go in to the 20 minute getting dressed part, as I will come to that later when I talk about the outfit. Eventually after missing my original train and my Dad escorting me to the station (thank you Daddy); I was back on track and trying not to freeze to death. I won't talk about my dull journey but O M G the Charing Cross train was packed!! The only good thing was a cute guy but even then he got off at Waterloo East (BOO). I legged it (well not literally) up to Covent Garden, where I lovingly stared at the Royal Opera House and past all the twinkly lights. Needless to say I arrived at my destination just after 6pm, fingers frozen and nose running I looked a state. There were a few people there when I arrived, and I spent most of my time trying to stop my nose from running a frigging marathon. Everyone was really nice and inviting and I did have a good chat with a really nice person who became my game buddy. It's so weird how I'm actually quite shy; but for some reason I seem to talk a lot to complete strangers and I don't even have alcohol in my system. We eventually all went in to this room with a big table and chairs, I unfortunately sat opposite Krispy Kreme doughnuts which was the not the best idea ever. The game was really fun it's called Style Boutique and I really enjoyed it, honestly I didn't want to give it back considering I'm a techno phobe. It was on Nintendo 3DS so it was pretty easy to operate, as I'm used to the very first edition that came out (well when it came out in pink). We even got interviewed during it to see how we liked the game etc, It's odd how last night I found it so easy to talk to strangers (what’s happening to me??) Overall it was really good and I enjoyed myself, (I also enjoyed the goodie bag) and I now have a 3DS and Style Boutique on my Christmas list!!
To the outfit...
Now I had a bit of a saga when it came to picking my outfit for yesterday. I decided not to pre plan my outfit as I knew it wouldn't be as good as I would want it to look. So with 25 minutes to get dressed I decided to have a little sit down. Worst decision ever!! By the time I got upstairs I had developed a flaw which I cannot stand - indecision!! I really can't stand indecisive people, so you can see my dilemma when it came to picking an outfit. I wanted to use my new Forever 21 bag and wear my bowler hat, so I wanted to wear something that had a girly feel to it (it's the cold changing me). But no matter what I paired together I couldn't find something that ticked all the boxes. So after much indecision I came to the conclusion that I was going to miss my train, so I should just chuck on whatever I have in my hand at that moment. I grabbed a pair of tights and I knew exactly what I was going wear. Now I've worn this skirt in the same way but by adding a different hat or jacket. The skirt is really the statement piece of this outfit with the metallic colour; but I've added the camouflage jacket and spiked shoes to give it that alternative edge. I am wearing my new New Look Studded Slipper Shoes, which I bought a month ago in my big New Look order. Now because of the cold weather I've put off wearing them, but this outfit was perfect for them. They're not exactly comfortable at the moment (what new shoes are); but I'm going to keep at them until I've broken them in. I think I'm the only one who does this, but I have flats that I wear with tights and ones that I wear without. Yes I think I am the only one; but these shoes will be my tights ones as I think they will kill my bare feet.
O M G literally I've written more then I thought I would!!
It was 11 something this morning when I started; it’s now 14:02pm!!
I need to stop getting distracted but I'm going to blame Andre Rieu (I love him) instead.
I've got to think what to do now...sleep??
Don't mind if I do!!

Melt The Ice, Some Like It Hot...

A little bit of inspiration in December!!
It's nearly time for Christmas and the real winter cold; so this the perfect time for some covering up ideas.
I always feel odd wearing coats as I'm so used to leather and denim jackets. But this year I'm determined to make outerwear work for me.
Well at least try!!
Here's to the freezing cold!!

Just A Second, It's My Favorite Song They're Gonna Play...

It's Sunday!!
Ok now I admit I always say every week that 'this' week has gone so fast; but honestly this week has been the quickest.
Work went quickly today as well but I was so tired, my eyes kept watering, my nose kept running along with everything else. But it's safe to say the Christmas rush has started.
Anyway...
It's that time of the week again where I think a playlist is in order!!
Now for the past few weeks/month I've been doing themed playlists and I think I'm going to continue that.
This week I'm going to focus on another favourite artist of mine.
This particular artist has changed the way we view what is normal in the world. I love how dynamic, inspiring and unique this singer is.
Again she's an artist who I could happily listen to everyday and sing along to all the songs.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present Lady Gaga!!
So sit back, relax and ENJOY!!

Evening Everyone!!
Have we all had a good Saturday??
I've certainly had a busy one!!
It's one of those days where you knew what was coming; but you didn’t realise how tired you would be.
I am knackered btw!!
Although that's not surprising after being up till midnight watching Vampire Diaries, (I blame Charlie) and then waking up at 5 something this morning and not falling back to sleep for AGES!!
Pretty much I'm dead (clearly not literally).
Anyway...
This was me earlier today (about an hour ago); after a day out in Bluewater with Charlie.
So like I said today Charlie and I planned on going to Bluewater to start our Christmas shopping. Well it is the 1st December so what better time like the present (ha ha see what I did there). I didn't exactly get up early after our late night so by the time we got to my Nan.J's and left; it was past 11am which definitely wasn't planned. Soon enough we were on our way to shop till we drop (basically), there was some traffic on the M25 but that soon cleared. I will say one thing when we got to Bluewater pretty much most of the car parks were full it was insane. We found a space over in the Plaza area (I think); and made our way in to shop. Bluewater was busy but I've seen worse (anyone who's been to London knows). We first hunted down the parentals present which no joke nearly gave me a heart attack. But within the hour I managed to calm down. We had lunch at Giraffe again which was really nice; they had a massive giraffe covered in the Beano. After getting the Nan's something it was time to look for ourselves. I was a good girl and only bought one thing, which was a bag from Forever 21; Charlie treated herself in Forever 21 and Nine West (oh I did get rolls from M&S). The Disney Store provided my Christmas present from Charlie which I'm excited about. Overall we ended up spending 5 hours there which we still don't know how that happened!! It's been a very long day!!
To the outfit...
I still feel like I'm dressing like a 15 year old tramp (yes I've made myself younger); in this outfit which is odd as I am 20. I was originally going to do a maxi skirt/cosmic trainer combination, but I decided against it and wanted something simpler. I'm naturally wearing my trusted beanie even though I washed my hair yesterday (I'm such a good girl). I wanted to put on my men’s hoody because it's fleecy and I knew it would keep me warm, if only I could wear it for work but I think they would have my guts for garters. This is probably the last time you will see these boots for a while; as literally the heel on the right foot is hanging off so I'm gonna glue it back on. I literally can't find a replacement which means these are not going anywhere. I'm wearing a new t-shirt today. Charlie picked this up for me last week when she helped out at Tate Britain's Label event. As an honorary member of Tate Collective I like to get free t-shirts when I can, so Charlie kindly picked one up for me and I love it. The fact that it says 'Who am I?' I think is pretty cool, it's a clever slogan but it's also a really valid question. On the bottom and on the back it does say Tate Collective, so it's a nice one to layer up with a skater skirt or maxi skirt. I wasn't baking hot in Mildred in this ensemble, not so much walking around but at least I looked good!!
I'm on relax mode now as you know I have work tomorrow (boo); doesn't help that now I have to start later and finish later. I turned round and said I couldn't finish late tomorrow.
As it is nearly Christmas (24 days) Charlie and I are watching Beauty and the Beast - The Enchanted Christmas; I love this movie as it reminds me of my childhood and how much I loved Christmas. It does change as you get older...bah humbug!!
Now to snack or not snack that is the question!!
To snack!!

In The Cold November Rain...

Hey Everyone!!
So even though I did pop out today, I didn't like my outfit therefore there is no OOTD post.
But seen as I was wearing half of my make up (long story); I thought I might do a video!!
I decided to a November Favourites video with some things I've been loving this month.
Here's the video and I hope you ENJOY!!

Sometimes I Wish I Could Act Like A Boy...

Hat - New Look
Top - River Island
Trousers - Warehouse
Jacket(s) - Primark & Berty & Gerty Vintage
Shoes - New Look
Jewellery - Topshop & Miss Selfridge
Good Morrow Everyone!!
It's a 'lovely' day today (notice how I use the term lovely loosely).
Are we all enjoying the winter months??
Don't worry I'm on the fence as well.
I do love wearing the chunky knits and hiding under the duvet; but I miss the days where I could walk outside with a denim jacket on and not freeze to death.
Anyway...
Just a quick post today!!
This was me yesterday after I went to IKEA and ASDA with the parentals (glamorous).
Yesterday's plans were last minute as I originally planned on spending the day at home; but when my Mum promised me an IKEA breakfast I knew I couldn't refuse. I got changed in a flash which meant not make up (hence why my face is covered); and I chucked on my trusty beanie. The only problem with IKEA breakfasts is that I don't eat half of it; that is why I have to have a kiddie’s breakfast which consists of three items. Naturally two of them are hash browns as I love them; the other is egg and just to keep in with the theme I used plastic cutlery (I'm so weird). I enjoyed my breakfast and I am quite enjoying eating breakfast at the moment; of course when it's a fry up I'm naturally going to enjoy it more. After feeding ourselves we walked through IKEA and I saw a Mount Wordsworth!! I was so happy that I went up to it and hugged it. I really am odd... The best part of IKEA was the travelator, which Dad and I got excited about it that we even put our hands up. We then headed to ASDA, where O M G you should all check out their George G21 range. The range has taken inspiration from the Wild West, with lasso prints and rodeo inspired t-shirts. Come pay day half of the collection will be in my wardrobe!! I did see an Aurora birthday cake which made me angry, as they didn't think of doing that a month ago when it was my birthday!! Odd child... I lead a boring life I really do!!
To the outfit...
You might have noticed the post title which I took from the song Like a Boy - Ciara. I really do feel like I stole this outfit from my brother or my boyfriend; I have neither of those so this outfit for me represents comfort rather then style. I was originally planning on dressing up for ASDA because I can; but I decided with the early morning and the lack of time chucking on a hoody was more appropriate. I am wearing two items of men’s clothing in this outfit, one is my Primark hoody and the other is my River Island t-shirt. I picked this t-shirt up a couple of months ago while I was out shopping. I popped in to River Island just to have a look and decided to look at the men’s section, which for graphic t-shirts I absolutely love. I saw this top and knew I had to have it. I love that it says 'Frat Party' on it and also the writing at the bottom says 'Summer of '69'. My favourite Bryan Adams song is Summer of '69 so it was a no brainer I needed it. It was £7 or £8 in the sale and it was a done deal by then. I would recommend all you guys to check out the men’s sections, cause sometimes they do better things then women’s (except when it comes to sparkles).
It's going to be a pretty basic week as I have another busy weekend.
I'm currently relaxing on the sofa watching 'The Real Housewives of New York City', (my absolute guilty pleasure) after doing my chores for the day which I feel good about.
Should I do more chores??
Nah!!
