Morning Everyone!!
How are we all on this Wednesday
morning??
Good??
Well at least someone is!!
You see my family and I have been
infected with something known as the 'common cold'.
BOOOOO!!!
And let me tell you something...IT
SUCKS!!!
I constantly feel like I've been
dragged through a hedge (and not in a good way *wink wink*).
Anyway...
This was me yesterday after spending
time at a Nintendo focus group with theMuse.tv.
Now a while a go I received an email
from theMuse.tv, asking for volunteers to
attend a focus group for a fashion Nintendo
game. I didn't see the email until the day after it was sent, so when I decided
to volunteer I had a feeling I wouldn't get it. But low and behold I received
an email a couple of days later (or was it the day after I can't remember);
saying that I got it (kinda thing) and to email them back with my details. I got
really excited as I didn't know what to expect. Long story short I was to
attend the focus group on Tuesday 4th December at 6pm. Waiting around yesterday
was absolute torture!! I was so dead from my cold, (not literally) and half
asleep that I was not in the mood to do anything. I watched most of my
recordings in the morning to amuse me; but by the time my Dad came home from my
Nan.J's I was in a state of boredom. This continued on for another hour and a
half until I decided to get my butt in to gear and get ready. I have to admit I
was in a lazy mood yesterday and I couldn't be bothered to wash my hair, so I
thought it was about time I busted out the hair extensions again. Now I do look
better in these extensions then the last time I wore them, I think the layers
in my hair help them slot in better plus I positioned them more accurately. I'm
still not amazing yet as under that bowler hat you could see all the clips. I'm
slowly getting there though. I won't go in to the 20 minute getting dressed
part, as I will come to that later when I talk about the outfit. Eventually
after missing my original train and my Dad escorting me to the station (thank
you Daddy); I was back on track and trying not to freeze to death. I won't talk
about my dull journey but O M G the Charing Cross
train was packed!! The only good thing was a cute guy but even then he got off
at Waterloo East (BOO). I legged it (well not literally) up to Covent Garden, where I lovingly stared at the Royal Opera House and past
all the twinkly lights. Needless to say I arrived at my destination just after
6pm, fingers frozen and nose running I looked a state. There were a few people
there when I arrived, and I spent most of my time trying to stop my nose from
running a frigging marathon. Everyone was really nice and inviting and I did
have a good chat with a really nice person who became my game buddy. It's so
weird how I'm actually quite shy; but for some reason I seem to talk a lot to
complete strangers and I don't even have alcohol in my system. We eventually
all went in to this room with a big table and chairs, I unfortunately sat
opposite Krispy Kreme
doughnuts which was the not the best idea ever. The game was really fun it's
called Style Boutique and I really enjoyed it, honestly I didn't
want to give it back considering I'm a techno phobe. It was on Nintendo 3DS so it was pretty easy to operate, as I'm used
to the very first edition that came out (well when it came out in pink). We
even got interviewed during it to see how we liked the game etc, It's odd how
last night I found it so easy to talk to strangers (what’s happening to me??)
Overall it was really good and I enjoyed myself, (I also enjoyed the goodie
bag) and I now have a 3DS and Style Boutique on my Christmas list!!
To the outfit...
Now I had a bit of a saga when it
came to picking my outfit for yesterday. I decided not to pre plan my outfit as
I knew it wouldn't be as good as I would want it to look. So with 25 minutes to
get dressed I decided to have a little sit down. Worst decision ever!! By the
time I got upstairs I had developed a flaw which I cannot stand - indecision!!
I really can't stand indecisive people, so you can see my dilemma when it came
to picking an outfit. I wanted to use my new Forever 21 bag
and wear my bowler hat, so I wanted to wear something that had a girly feel to
it (it's the cold changing me). But no matter what I paired together I couldn't
find something that ticked all the boxes. So after much indecision I came to
the conclusion that I was going to miss my train, so I should just chuck on
whatever I have in my hand at that moment. I grabbed a pair of tights and I
knew exactly what I was going wear. Now I've worn this skirt in the same way
but by adding a different hat or jacket. The skirt is really the statement
piece of this outfit with the metallic colour; but I've added the camouflage
jacket and spiked shoes to give it that alternative edge. I am wearing my new New
Look Studded Slipper Shoes, which I bought a month ago in my big New Look order. Now because of the cold
weather I've put off wearing them, but this outfit was perfect for them.
They're not exactly comfortable at the moment (what new shoes are); but I'm
going to keep at them until I've broken them in. I think I'm the only one who
does this, but I have flats that I wear with tights and ones that I wear
without. Yes I think I am the only one; but these shoes will be my tights ones
as I think they will kill my bare feet.
O M G literally I've written more
then I thought I would!!
It was 11 something this morning when
I started; it’s now 14:02pm!!
I need to stop getting distracted but
I'm going to blame Andre Rieu (I love him) instead.
I've got to think what to do
now...sleep??
Don't mind if I do!!
B x
