Hey people!!
Can you guys believe its New Years Eve??
It’s insane!!
This is my last post of 2012!!
That's actually quite sad for me especially after such a good blogging year.
Last year (and the beginning of this one); I was on the verge of quitting the blogosphere and go back to my dull uninteresting life. But I realised that I would miss writing my daily moans and the excitement of buying something new or discovering a new place. Everything about this blog encapsulates who I am. And I know it sounds corny when you say this blog is an extension of who I am but it's true. Because of my determination and perseverance through all the rubbish I went through this year, I've managed to still get amazing opportunities and to really feel like I'm making a difference with this blog. (I should probably stop saying this blog and instead my blog). I have high hopes for 2013 both for myself and for my blog and I hope you're all along for the ride. But I just want to take the time now to just say thank you to everyone who has read or followed my blog, who have watched my YouTube videos, hyped my looks on Lookbook and followed me on Tumblr or Twitter. If it wasn't for all of you, my blog wouldn't be where it is today and I'm so grateful for that. I hope in 2013 we can all help each other to make the blogosphere even more amazing then it was before. You never know I could be the next Susie Bubble...Who am I kidding she's amazing!!
Anyway...
Enough of my gushing because this blog post is going to be so long!!
This was me on Saturday after going for a birthday lunch with Jaime.
Now after getting back in touch with Jaime (not your bog standard normal friendship); we went out shopping on Friday (outfit here) and it just so happened it was her birthday on the 29th. Originally we were planning to go for a meal this week; but plans changed (as they do) and we decided to go on her birthday. Jaime turned the big 2 0 which meant I wanted her to have better birthday then me. I got Charlie to drop me off at Jaime's, but with the horrible weather I kinda persuaded her to drop us both at the Harvester. Now we had a bit of trouble finding one; but eventually we went to the one at New Addington. I haven't been to that one in YEARS!! I'm not even exaggerating I was only pint sized (ok maybe a little bit of exaggeration). I do love the Harvester and it did help that we were sat opposite the salad bar. Needless to say I went on a bread roll rampage (I even took some home). But I ate soooooooo much!! A three course meal + a salad bar = I now need to go on a diet!! But the food was really good and I enjoyed myself, the only downside was the service which was rubbish. Overall Jaime enjoyed her birthday and that was the main thing.
To the outfit...
Now I would just like to take a moment to welcome back my Warehouse trousers. YAYAYAY!!! O M G how I have missed these trousers, literally every outfit I come up with includes these loves of my life. I was so lost without them but I'm glad we're reunited again. I've had this outfit in my mind for a while now as I think it's just a relaxed look. I know I constantly say that I feel comfortable wearing skulls, studs and spikes; but I like the grown up look of this outfit without it being stuffy. Cream is always a good neutral colour and that's probably why I wear this cardigan a lot. I got this shirt a while ago from my parents, on one of their weekly trips to ASDA. I originally going to get this on a previous trip but I decided against it, so when I woke up to this present I was sooooooo happy!! I love the collar tips (which are plastic but they're gold so I'm happy); they're a nice compliment to the shirt and also the rodeo print with the cowboys and lassos. Very Isabel Marant A/W 12/13 inspired.
To think in 9 hours time it'll be a new day, a new month and a new year!!
So I just want to say I hope you all have a good New Years Eve!! I will be spending mine at home relaxing with the family. And I hope you all have a good New Year and I wish you all the best for 2013!!
I should probably start writing down some new year’s resolutions...
Maybe tomorrow...

I´ve Got A Feeling, This Year´s For Me And You...

Happy Sunday!!
Have we all had a good weekend??
I certainly didn't!!
Ok in fairness yesterday wasn't too bad; but today I had one of the worst work shifts in a very very long time.
Let's just say crazy customers and demanding managers aren't a good combination.
7 days isn't long enough between shifts!!
I'm moaning again...
Now I'm back to the usual Sunday playlist this week!!
YAYAYAY!!
Back to the old routine.
I do have a busy week ahead of me, so you're going to see a lot more outfit posts.
Hopefully...
Anyway...
As it's my first Sunday playlist after having a week off, I thought we would need another special theme.
Now I wonder what’s coming up this week that could be pretty big, something to celebrate about and have a good time with friends and family??
Oh yeah...NEW YEAR!!
Yes this is the last Sunday playlist of 2012!!
We're practically knocking on the door of 2013 and the start of a new adventure.
So to mark this big event I thought I would do a New Years Eve playlist.
Now we all know on NYE we all go out and drink too much and kiss the nearest stranger. Unless you're me then you're either ill or just have no where to go, like this year I'm staying at home probably going to watch movies and avoid terrestrial telly.
Although I am having a very boring and average evening, that doesn't mean that I can't have my own little celebration and a boogie.
So here are some songs that I would ring the New Year in with.
Sit back, relax and ENJOY!!

Oh, What A Shame That You Came Here With Someone...

Top - New Look
Jumper - Red Herring @ Debenhams
Top(s) (underneath) - Dorothy Perkins & Primark
Trousers - New Look
Shoes - Oki Kutsu
Jewellery - New Look & Topshop

It's the weekend guys!!
How did that happen??
Today has gone so quick as well!!
I went out for a meal for Jaime's birthday and I didn't realise how late it was, I literally got home at 5pm or gone 5 I couldn't believe it!!
I missed out on special moaning time...I'm going to have to make up for it.
I can't believe the first week of the holidays is nearly over.
Christmas is over and New Year is coming up!
Not as excited (completely not excited) but any excuse for a drink.
Anyway...
This was me yesterday after popping in to town to meet Jaime.
Now these plans were organised the night before as I was originally going to visit my aunt and cousins. I have to admit going shopping appeals to me more then visiting my family (I'm so bad). I was running really late yesterday morning and I had 45 minutes to get my butt up and out. I did it in just under an hour as I'm so damn lazy (I swear it's getting worse it really is). I managed to do my make up quite quickly and decided to put my lipstick on later. When it came to picking what to wear I wanted to chuck on a jumper, so I put this look together (more on that later). After eventually leaving the house and getting the bus I ended up in town. I got there before Jaime as she usually moans that I'm late (yay); so when she arrived it was straight to New Look. I had ordered a pair of pointy creeper esque shoes and they were simply a whim. I knew there was a good chance I would return them but I secretly thought I would fall in love with them; unfortunately I didn't and I knew I had to take them back. While in New Look we decided to have a gander at the sale which was rubbish!! I can imagine how big the selection would have been on Boxing Day and then the mass of people buying all the good stuff. I did try on a navy skater dress and a burgundy owl print peplum top, I really liked both of them but decided I would never wear the peplum. I decided to go with the skater dress as it was more me and also for £6 I thought bargain! We headed to River Island afterwards as it's just across the road and there was so much and yet nothing at all (if that makes sense). The only thing that caught my eye was a black gilet vest, which I really did like but I couldn't warrant paying £25 for it. In store the sale was rubbish but online I've spent too much money. McDonalds soon followed which is very much out of my comfort zone, but I did enjoy my chicken nuggets and chips with a doughnut for desert (not very nice I do not recommend it). Topshop was next and I have to say THANK YOU TOPSHOP!! I don't know what it is about Topshop in store sales; but for the past two of them I have gotten the items I wanted at a bargain price. Last sale I picked up the Metallica Vest for £12 and this time I picked up two of the tops that I've been wanting for MONTHS!! No joke I've been dropping hints to my Mum every time I'm on my laptop. They are both from brands at Topshop - the first is from Tee & Cake and it's a cosmic skull tunic which I've been in love with for as long as I can remember. It was a tenner which to me is the best thing; although seeing it finally in my size is more of an amazing thing. The second is a top from Not of this World and it's a fantasy print, with a skull in what looks like a moon, owls and horses on it. I fell in love with this top a few months back and when I saw it in an M I was gonna get it; but when I saw the L I was so frigging happy and for £12 you can't complain. Needless to say I came out of Topshop a very happy girl! Primark was next and I'm finding Primark to be really good at the moment. I picked up a t-shirt with the name of the Disney princesses on it (I resent that Aurora is last), a Deep Purple band t-shirt with a Pegasus on it, a pair of black slipper style shoes, a pack of two cross studs and some personal items (I think you can guess). Overall I had a good trip and I didn't even break in to my Christmas money in my account (go me). We soon went home after that and when I arrived home and revealed my items, my mother asked me why I buy/wear so much black?? I can't help it!! It's my colour!!
To the outfit...
Saying that about black is my colour I seem to look quite colourful in this. As I was meeting Jaime a naturally girly girl, I thought I would make the effort to girly up so to speak. I do love my Red Herring jumper because it always keeps me warm (and not because I work for them). I think because of the sequinned accents it makes me like this jumper more. Plus I got 40% off it which helps. The rest of my outfit is just a casual shopping ensemble. Honestly I put no effort in to it which isn't like me at all!! I'm wearing an old pair of jeggings that I dug out, as I have been separated from my faithful trousers (we were reunited today and it felt good). It's been nice for these past few days wearing denim again but I prefer the ponte material. I've been wearing these Oki Kutsu plimsolls a lot lately. I've had them for a good few years I think I got them in Office up in London, they were around £32 I think and I remember saving up for them. They have yellow on the back of the heel and a yellow stripe around the shoe. I really like these but I only ever discover them once a year and wear them for months. I think they're going to be staying out for at least years at a time.
I apologise for the lengthy blog post but you know how I babble on about my life.
It is about 9 something in the evening and I can feel my bad mood will probably start soon.
An early night so I'll be in a shiny happy mood for work tomorrow!!
Yeah frigging right!!
As if I would be!!
Warning - avoid Debenhams at all costs tomorrow if you don't want to be greeted by a moody sales assistant.
You have been warned...

It's Pretty Obvious That You've Got A Crush...

Hat - New Look
Top(s) - Primark
Trousers - New Look
Jacket - Berty & Gerty Vintage
Boots - Shoe Zone
Jewellery - Miss Selfridge / Gift / Topshop & New Look
Hey people!!
It's Friday!!
Are we enjoying Friday??
You should it lasts all day!!
Right I finally know what day of the week it is, (yes I did lose track on Wednesday - Boxing Day).
But I got back on track today!!
I did think I was going to wake up on Sunday morning at 12pm shouting 'HOLY CRAP', because I forgot I had work.
Thankfully that won't happen (unless it's intentional); but with an early start and early finish I don't mind it.
Wow I do babble on don't I...I shall stop!
Anyway...
Just a quick post today!!
This was me yesterday after I popped to see my Nan.J with Charlie.
Now I was originally going to Toys RUs yesterday morning, but due to lack of sleep the night before (yes it's continuing) I had no energy in the morning. So I decided to stay at home and fall back asleep (by this time I was on the sofa). Unfortunately I did not take in to consideration a barking dog or the postman (darn those postmen). So I drifted on and off for a bit until I heard a noise, which turned out to be my ringtone (yes when you're half asleep and 'So This is Love' starts playing you convince yourself you're Cinderella). Charlie rang me to pretty much inform me that I had 10 minutes to get ready and that we were going to my Nan.j's. Considering I had no idea what I was wearing, I managed to be dressed within the 10 minutes and was pretty much waiting around for Charlie. I will add I'm not wearing make up hence why my face is covered. We got to my Nan.J's and within 5 minutes I left again. I popped down the high street to pick up something very important - doughnuts!! I got two as I'm a piggy but I also looked in one of the charity shops, but it literally is rubbish there is never anything in there. I eventually got back to my Nan's where my Nan opened her presents from the extended family. I love how she's always shocked about how many presents she gets, my Nan is very popular and she doesn't realise it. Strudel soon followed and no that’s not a euphemism, I mean Charlie and Nan had actual fruit strudel. It was a bog standard visit to my Nan's but one that I'm doing more frequently; I'm a good granddaughter for now. Charlie actually took these photos of me and I think she's finally getting the hang of it. I think I sound boring today...sounds about right!!
To the outfit...
Considering my Warehouse trousers were in the wash and I had 10 minutes to get ready, I created quite a good outfit don't you think?? Thankfully my trousers have now dried so you will be seeing them soon. I've dug out these old New Look jeggings that a few years I used to wear ALL the time, they were my Warehouse trousers of the time. I paired them with my new Primark top that I picked up a while ago. According to the tag this top is meant to be black...they are clearly wrong. It's more of a dark grey/speckled effect rather then black. I do really like this top I just wish it was slightly longer in the front, as I did feel a bit of breeze while I was out but I like it. For 6 quid you honestly can't complain. The camouflage jacket is back as I was only going in and out of the car; but I froze to death in it so it's going away again. Plus the beanie is back!! I finally found this bad boy on Boxing Day and I'm so glad; in fact I wore it both yesterday (obvs) and today. In 10 minutes I picked out a good outfit!!
What an odd week it's been and I have a busier week next week.
I'm currently chilling out watching Mission Impossible 3 (not my choice); but Tom Cruise is growing on me (I didn't mean that as a joke). I'm honestly finding him more attractive in my old age, I'm scared I'm gonna watch Jack Reacher and come out in love with him!
Think of Johnny Depp! Think of JohnnyDepp!
I promise I will be normal!!
Maybe not...

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas...

Dress + Belt - Primark
Tights - Primark
Shoes - Shoe Zone
Bag - Forever 21
Jewellery - Miss Selfridge / ASOS / Topshop & New Look
HEY EVERYONE!!!
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and enjoyed yourself extensively!!
I had my family Christmas yesterday and O M G it did not disappoint.
I ate too much, danced too much and laughed too much.
There is actually a video of me doing Gangnam Style and no I'm not proud.
I did feel sick when I got home yesterday and for some reason it's continued on and I hate it.
I have no appetite and it's horrible!!
But apart from that I had a good Christmas.
Anyway...
Just a quick post today!!
This was me on Christmas Day at my Nan.J's.
Now as I said earlier my big family Christmas was yesterday, so on Christmas day we popped in to see my Nan.J to swap presents. I'm not lying when I say my parents had to kick me up on xmas morning; because I didn't want to especially after my sleepless night. Yes they keep happening and no I don't know why!?!?!?!?!?! When I eventually got out of bed I woke up to a bag full of presents, which of course is always nice. My parents opened theirs first as Charlie and I got them Kindle's and were expecting them to kill us. I am thankfully still alive so all is good. They love them but haven't played with them yet. Charlie and I got round to ours and wrapping paper was flying everywhere, tear after tear till presents were revealed underneath. Ok so I'm exaggerating a little but we do tear our presents (well the wrapping paper). I got a range of presents including a Tweetie Pie onesie, Disney princess nightlight, Lauren Conrad - Beauty, BradGoreski - Born to Brad, a book on the letters in WW2, a matching leaf necklace and ring and a bead bracelet, manicure kit and a mini brush kit (I'm probably forgetting half of it). I got the most amazing Audrey Hepburn compact mirror from my next door neighbours, and I love it!! My next door neighbour Mags knows me so well, in fact the mirror I use at the moment is from her and it has a 50's inspired New York picture on it. We eventually got dressed and headed to my Nan.J's where the gifts happened all over again. I got three Rimmel lipsticks, two are the Lasting Finish Kate Moss Matte range and the other is a Lasting Finish (I think). I also got money which is good; as I've accidentally gone through my pay check (oops). We spent some time at my Nan's for a while and then headed home in to our xmas jammies, and settled in for the night. Yesterday at my family Christmas I also got socks, slipper socks, manicure set (my nails should look flawless), money and a One4all gift card from my Uncle Steve. I've been thoroughly spoiled.
To the outfit...
I wanted to wear this dress on Christmas Day as it's a classic dress to wear. I admit if I stood sideways you would see some lumps and bumps; but like this (straight on) I look as fabulous and curvaceous as Christina Hendricks (who am I kidding she's amazing). This is such a flattering shape for anyone especially if you do have curves. Now you know I'm the first one to moan about the lumps and bumps, but in this dress I don't mind because it is so flattering. It's a good material and although I'm not someone who wears a lot of grey; I do like this dress as the marl effect breaks up the colour. Plus it’s only a tenner!! I teamed it with my Shoe Zone Chelsea Boots and my Forever 21 bag. This bag had its first outing on xmas day and I think it was a nice accessory for this dress. I added my Miss Selfridge Jesus studs (as it was his birthday) and my ASOS Solid Cross Necklace. I look very ladylike. I do have my hair up as I couldn't be bothered to wash my hair (it is washed now); but I constantly wear my hair up at the moment. I love having a ponytail or a bun, makes me feel like a pretty ballerina!!
I've had a good Christmas and I hope you all have had one too.
You won't see an OOTD for yesterday as I looked like a dorky 90's throwback; but my jumper is on my Instagram BeckyEAllen (on the right had side).
I'm now relaxing watching a programme on Stirling Moss!!
I'm having serious car envy!!
Time for me to get back behind the wheel again.
Wish me luck...

Santa Won't You Bring Me The One I Really Need?

Monthly Want - December

Well isn’t this an odd Sunday post.
Yes a Sunday without a Sunday Playlist...dun dun durr!!
But never fear you can see my Saturday Playlist here.
Now as you can see I am doing this post on the right day, which I feel very proud about considering I forgot October and did two last month.
Anyway...
For this months want I was originally going to pick something cheesy like world peace or a good Christmas. But then I realised this is me we're talking about so I thought what do I really want.
When I thought long and hard, one thing kept popping in to my mind and it was these trousers.
Don't these look surprisingly like the American Apparel ones on my Christmas wish list; well you would be right but I like that these are 40 something quid cheaper. I think if you want a versatile pair of black trousers that you could wear for work, to the pub or just out shopping these are perfect. I would completely wear these for work as I do like high waisted (my Warehouse ones are); I feel more secure that everything is sucked in. I also feel that high waisted suit a lot of figures as it's always been a classic shape. Literally I have to mention this - even though they don't have my size I'm still putting together outfits in my head!! I definitely think I'm getting ahead of myself. Usually I say come next pay day these will be mine; but pay day has come but as I mentioned my size is unavailable (BOO). I would recommend these to anyone, because I think for £30 you're going to get your moneys worth.
Go out and buy these if you find them otherwise order them, because they're soooooooooooooooooooooooooo nice!!
Buy them!!
Now!!
Right now!!
Go onnnnnnnnnnnn!!
...I'll stop...

Time For Singing Christmas Songs...

Hey Everyone!!
Now this weekend is a little bit confusing, because tomorrow is the 23rd and that means a monthly want!!
So I thought I would do my Sunday playlist a day early.
Soooooooooooo…
For one week early go crazy for the Saturday Playlist!!
WOOO!!!
Usually when I'm doing these playlists I'm tired from work and I feel lethargic; but today I haven't been at work and yet I feel just as tired.
Yes I did have another sleepless night (BOO).
Anyway...
Now with a Saturday playlist as it is a one off it needs a special theme.
Mmmmm...What theme to do??
Are you thinking what I'm thinking??
CHRISTMAS!!
What better time to break out those cheesy tunes that we bring out once a year; (but secretly listen to them all year round).
Whether they're from our favourite Christmas films or from our favourite artists (Cliff Richard for Charlie); they are all amazing sing along cheesy songs.
Now I do have a favourite Christmas song and that is Shakin' Stevens - Merry Christmas Everyone!!
I LOVE that song!! It has festive cheer and the cheesiness in perfect balance.
Here are a few of my other favourite Christmas songs (and yes Shakin' Stevens is on it).
Sit back, relax and ENJOY!!

AND...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

To Send Me A Joe Who Had Winter And Snow In His Heart, Wasn't Smart...

Hat - Primark
Jumper - New Look (Charlie's)
Shirt (underneath) - Vintage
Skirt - Influence @ New Look
Tights - Primark
Shoes - New Look
Jewellery - Accessorize / H&M / Topshop & New Look
HEY EVERYONE!!
Are we all well??
Good!!
Well the weekend has come again (well nearly).
And of course this is the weekend before Christmas...YAYAYAY!!
Now as you know I'm very much a Scrooge, bah humbug and all that but I feel like my spirits are more lifted.
I know come Sunday I will be as miserable as ever seen as its work day!!
Boo hiss boo!!
But at least I'm not working over Christmas and New Year YAYAY!!
Anyway...
Just a quick post today!!
This was me earlier today after popping to West Wickham with Mum and Charlie.
Now I was a bit unsure as to whether I was going to go or not; because as you know I've not been sleeping. So I told my Mum to wake me up at 8am just in case I wanted to tag along. Well as you can probably tell I have another sleepless night which was endless; but I did eventually fall asleep to my music which never happens anymore. I was woken at 8am and thought I might as well go along. I didn't get out of bed till half past and yes Mum and Charlie were both waiting for me, (I can't help it). We dropped Lilly off at the dog groomers and headed up to West Wickham. Now as you know the only time I ever go to West Wickham is when Lilly goes for her annual haircut. The first stop was Starbucks where I did have a bit of fruit bread which I soon went off (I don't like raisins). We then moved on to the charity shops which is always my favourite part. We started off in Sense which is usually a good one for ex-catalogue stuff (I got my grey maxi dress from there); I wasn't going to go in but I'm glad I did as I picked up a baroque print silk scarf for £2! I always love finding vintage scarves for a bargain price. We then had a look in the kitchen shop which Charlie and Mum both like; I always want all the cake tins in the pretty different colours and prints. Lorimers was next on the list which is part of my childhood. I remember when I was younger I saved up half of the money to buy Baby Sophie (anyone remember her); I actually still have she lives with my shoes (bad mother). It was so weird seeing all the Bratz and how far they've fallen. I have loads of Bratz but I have no idea where they are. We headed to Mind which again can be quite good I usually find a scarf or a book; but unfortunately today I couldn't find anything. Cancer Research UK was next and again sometimes you can find good things and other times, you don't find anything. Now last time I was there I picked up a vintage 1960's cape, this time I found a men’s oversized denim jacket for a fiver!! FIVER!! I was willing to pay 40-50 quid in Topman for it, so glad I didn't otherwise I'd be gutted. St Christopher’s Hospice was next and I never go in there because it smells like soup; but I thought I might as well look. I headed to the men’s section to look for any bargains and low and behold I found two men’s t-shirts for £2. One is a grey/blue with LA Roadster on it with a cool collage of cars on the back, and the other is a white souvenir t-shirt with Venezia on it (obsessed). I think ShannonLouiseVintage and The Fashion Citizen are definitely on to something, with the thrifting/charity shop shopping. We headed to M&S which was our last stop before we picked up Lilly and went to Pets at Home and Nan.J's. Busy day!! Oh and I popped to the pub with the family to meet family friends.
To the outfit...
I had absolutely no idea what to wear this morning (as usual); and with no time to plan something I chucked this on. I've had an outfit like this planned in my head; but I teamed it with my jeggings (which is how I wore it to the pub). I've worn this combination of jumper and shirt before but I wore it with leggings; not one of my best outfits but I was coming home from Cheltenham in the car. This jumper was actually purchased in Cheltenham in New Look. It's actually Charlie's but I've commandeered it so technically it's now mine, it's a size 18 so it's the perfect baggy fit on me. I love the exclamation mark on the jumper because it stands out. The shirt is a shirt I absolutely adore. It's vintage and I picked it up in Cirencester while in Cheltenham (I sense a theme here). I saw it and I think it was £7 or £9 something ridiculous, so I picked it up and bought it immediately without even thinking twice. I put a simple gold linked necklace under the collar and kept the rest of the outfit neutral. I had to still wear black, I couldn't help it.
It's pay day for me today which I'm happy about!!
I've already ordered stuff which I don't feel guilty about; but I do feel guilty because it's now 12:36am Saturday morning and I need to go to bed.
I will bid you all a goodnight!!
Btw here's the link to my OOTD - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIFPbBGNVsY
Fingers crossed I'll get some sleep tonight...
AS IF!!

All I Know Is That I’m Always Happy, When I Walk Out The Store...

Hey Everyone!!
Are we all well??
GOOD!!
Right I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy because my haul videos finally uploaded!!
YAYAYAYAYAY!!!
It's literally taken me 4 days to do it (technology doesn't like me).
I do apologise for the graininess but because it gets so dark quickly, I had to use artificial light plus my Mum was helping me that's why sometimes I look confused.
Moaning aside here is part 1 and part 2 of my December Haul!!
ENJOY!!

Dancing Around You Feel The Sweet Sensation...

It's Sunday!!
Yes this day has come around again!!
You know how I have a habit of saying how fast the week has gone, I actually had a dream last night that I was saying to someone how quick this week has gone.
I think I constantly have that phrase in my head...odd!
Also you might be wondering why I'm early this week with my playlist; well I'm not at work today as I'm not completely myself. So staying at home and resting up seemed the right thing to do, especially as I have a pretty busy week ahead of me.
Anyway...
Like I said it's time for another Sunday playlist!!
These are always my favourite post to do; because I'm not bothering you with the woes of my life (not entirely) or going on about nonsense. These posts are reserved purely for music and I think that says enough. You all know music is a big part of my life. I was introduced to musicals at a young age; (when I was 2 Charlie and I would re-enact the Les Misérables 10th Anniversary concert). I grew up mainly with 80's music but I'm a complete 90's child through and through.
I'm going to stop babbling now!!
Now this week I'm going to focus on an artist who I love!!
No matter what decade or genre of music it is, this artist nails it with hit after hit.
This singer has sung a Bond song, a song that epitomises a fashion girl, a song based on a world renowned fashion magazine, not to mention starring in a quintessential 80's movie.
Can you tell who it is yet??
Ladies and gentlemen I present the one and only Madonna!!

When You Hear the Things I'm Wishing'...

Hat - New Look
Jumper - H&M
Dress (underneath) - Charity Shop
Leggings (underneath) - Topshop Tall
Shoes - New Look
Jewellery - H&M / Topshop / New Look & Miss Selfridge
Hey Everyone!!
How are we all??
Good??
Brilliant!!
I'm in an odd mood this weekend, one minute I'm a ball of happiness the next I'm as moody as can be.
I had a mini breakdown yesterday over my laptop which is pushing me to the limit.
If any of you lovely people want to get me a Christmas present; a new laptop would much appreciated.
I have work tomorrow as well so my mood won't be improving.
Typical isn't it!!
Anyway...
Just a quick post today!!
This was me on Thursday when I popped in to town to do a bit of street style.
Now as I mentioned yesterday I've been given a street style project; which is something that I've always wanted to do but never got round to it. Little did I realise how hard it is!! I constantly read Facehunter and The Sartoralist, but I always think leave it to the professionals. I will admit I do like a challenge, but I didn't realise how much of a challenge it would be! I was definitely nervous about going up to complete strangers; I'm used to talking to people when I'm behind a till like a comfort blanket. Being completely isolated without any help or comfort blanket it's certainly hard. I was tongue tied for the first half of being in town because I didn't know what to do; but when I saw my work colleague Hollie I begged her to do me this favour. Thankfully she said yes and I felt much better after that. I did get one rejection; but after popping in to work and having a chat with a colleague I felt ready. I did manage to snap 4 people but thankfully 3 of them were in one group. I felt confident after making a start and people being up for having their pic taken. I did take a short break and tried on a pair of the Jeffrey Campbell Spiked Lita; which O M G FIT!!! YAYAYAY!!! I honestly couldn't believe it!! Usually when I fall in love with a pair of shoes they never do my size, so you can imagine my surprise and elation when they did. I went up to the shop assistant and said 'you've made me a very happy girl'. I completely forgot how dark it gets and by that time I was due to meet my Mum it was too dark for more photos. We rendezvoused in Primark, where my Mum had mentioned that she treated me to a pair of long leather gloves. I did pick up a grey high/low hem top, a grey marl midi dress, Christmas cards, tights and socks. I'm stocked up for Christmas now!!
To the outfit...
Now I'm in a dilemma.
You see my Warehouse trousers have gone in the wash, so I need to come up with new outfits. So I thought this is an excuse to bust out the maxi dress. I was originally going to go for my usual H&M black one; but I thought no I would add a bit of colour (even if it is dark grey). I picked this dress up from a charity shop ages ago but I've only worn it the once (here). But I don't know why because it's a nice length, really long sleeves and nice round neck. I decided that I would layer up this day because it's FREEZING outside. I know this H&M jumper is soooooooo unflattering; but I absolutely love it cause it keeps me warm. I'm wearing my new H&M scarab necklace which I picked up in the sale for £4!! I'm in love with this necklace I've wanted it for a while; but couldn't bring myself to pay £7.99 which is an alright price. But when I went on to the website after the sale had started and saw it was only £4; I knew that I was meant to have it and that it had to be mine. I will definitely be wearing it tomorrow for work. I wore my cosmic trainers to add that little bit of colour.
I'm quite tired today and yet I only work up at quarter to one I think.
I managed to publish my haul video, which is currently being uploaded to YouTube!!
I know now I need a new laptop STAT; but for now my useless machine will just have to do.
I'm so odd...

How rude of me.
Hello Everyone!!
It's good to see you all again!!
How is everyone??
Full of cold??
Doesn't surprise me.
My nose runs and then my eyes water - hate it!!
Anyway...
This was me on Wednesday after popping in to London.
Have you ever had one of those moments when you just thought O M G WHAT JUST HAPPENED!?!?!?!?! I have them quite a lot mostly for the worst reasons.
I received an email last week asking me if I would like to get involved with a fashion website, (I won't mention their name yet just in case they change their minds HA HA). I remember reading the email when I woke up and being completely shocked and confused (all my pestering paid off). We all know what I'm like so I consulted with the parentals and decided to go in for a chat. As my Dad rightly pointed out you need to know what you're signing up for. The last thing I wanted to do is waste their time. The chat was set to take place in a week's time. Fast forward one week and it was time. I left home early as there was lot's of frost around and apparently the trains were playing up. I got to the station (after running around like a headless chicken) to get my train. I ended up getting a delayed train so long story short I was up at Covent Garden by 9:30am, I was half an hour early!! I did originally plan on going for a coffee or something; but when I noticed that the Apple store was open I thought I might as well pop in. I'm thinking of getting a Macbook Pro or an iMac; but as you all know I'm a complete techno phobe so I have no idea what I'm looking at. I got talking to a nice lady who was asking me what I was looking for, what I was going to use it for etc. After explaining all about the laptops and computers, she recommended I get a 15 inch Macbook Pro which is £2,299!! I literally had a heart attack when I saw the price. That is way too much money for me to spend on a laptop and I know it's a good laptop but still. It would literally take me 2 years to save up and I can't wait that long. Anyway I ran up to Neal Street soon after and buzzed the door. (I always hate buzzing doors because I never know what to say). I went up to the reception area, where I was met and taking up to their offices (it sounds so dull). To begin with I was really confused as I was sat at a table and given a Mac, eventually I was kinda like 'what's going on??' But I was told that they person I was there to see wasn't in yet; so they wanted to give me something to do rather then wait around. It wasn't long till the chat began and I wasn't sure what to expect. Whenever the words work experience or internship is mentioned I get all anxious. But in this instance it wasn't and I felt really relaxed. So long story short I would say I'm a contributor and have been given a street style project to do. Initially I was really excited but when I realised I would have to talk to complete strangers, I kinda went in to O M G REALLY mode which happens a lot. It means I pop in to HQ 2 or 3 times a week to work on it and in the meantime I go looking for stylish people. So if you see me come and say hi and I might even take your photo. While I was there I helped out with a couple of their features which was really fun; but now my clicky wrist REALLY hurts. I started taking photos yesterday in town which was really nerve racking; but thankfully I saw a colleague of mine and convinced her to let me take her photo. Overall I definitely think this is going to be an interesting project.
To the outfit...
For once I knew exactly what I was going to wear. When I bought this lovely looking t-shirt at River Island on Thursday; I knew I had to wear it especially with my red blazer. Now I absolutely love this t-shirt and ever since I saw it on the River Island website I knew I had to have it. It was £15 but I got money off (I took back a necklace/student shop in); so I ended up getting it for £9.60 which to me is a complete BARGAIN!! You know me I love my graphic t-shirts so this is perfect for me. They do it now in white with a black logo which I think might have to be mine. I didn't really accessorize this outfit apart from my new H&M scarf. I know everyone is buying tartan scarves, but I kinda got hooked on the trend and decided to hunt for one. I stumbled upon this one when I was browsing the H&M website; but it was £7.99 and I thought it would be smaller then it was. I decided to look at it in person but I never got round to it. So when I looked back on the website when the sale started and saw it was £4, I knew it was a no brainer and bought it immediately. I've worn it since it came (which was Tuesday); and I really like it plus its sooooo soft!!
I'm a bit annoyed today as I've tried to publish my haul video 3 times and each time my laptop keeps dying. I've literally had enough off it so I'm going to definitely get a new one.
I'm going to try and upload my video tomorrow and if it doesn't work I think I'll scream!!
Wish me luck!!
Btw this is the link to the video of the focus group from last week - http://themuse.tv/2012/12/the-muse-tv-nintendo-special-style-boutique-launch/
(Btw I started writing this yesterday so I apologise if it’s a little odd).

Sunday, 9 December 2012

Well, It's Three O'Clock In The Morning...

It's Sunday!!
Yes it's that day of the week again!!
Now I admit that this week has gone slower then usual; but I've enjoyed the lie in(s) (well sleeping in till 10am).
Work was odd today as I started at 10:45am which is later then my usual shift.
I was running late as usual and looked like I was dragged though a hedge backwards, and then the other way.
But even with my eye watering (again) and my cold I made it through the shift.
Anyway on to the task at hand...
It's time for another Sunday playlist!!
This is probably the most regular post I do on this blog; but it's one I enjoy because it's musical goodness.
So what theme or artist to pick this week??
Well I think I'm going to pick...
Now this theme is one of my favourites.
It's one that I listen to everyday; but most of the time I never listen to it through to the end.
I can guarantee it will calm me but I do have a tendency to sing along.
Yes my theme this week is songs I listen to that help me fall asleep!!
I've been having trouble sleeping and these songs help make sure that doesn't happen.
(Sorry about my confusing music taste in advance).
So sit back, relax and ENJOY!!!
