HEY EVERYONE!!
Are we all well??
Good!!
Well the weekend has come again (well
nearly).
And of course this is the weekend
before Christmas...YAYAYAY!!
Now as you know I'm very much a
Scrooge, bah humbug and all that but I feel like my spirits are more lifted.
I know come Sunday I will be as
miserable as ever seen as its work day!!
Boo hiss boo!!
But at least I'm not working over
Christmas and New Year YAYAY!!
Anyway...
Just a quick post today!!
This was me earlier today after
popping to West Wickham with Mum and Charlie.
Now I was a bit unsure as to whether
I was going to go or not; because as you know I've not been sleeping. So I told
my Mum to wake me up at 8am just in case I wanted to tag along. Well as you can
probably tell I have another sleepless night which was endless; but I did
eventually fall asleep to my music which never happens anymore. I was woken at
8am and thought I might as well go along. I didn't get out of bed till half
past and yes Mum and Charlie were both waiting for me, (I can't help it). We
dropped Lilly off at the dog groomers and headed up to West
Wickham. Now as you know the only time I ever go to West Wickham is when Lilly goes for her annual haircut.
The first stop was Starbucks where I did have a bit of fruit bread which I soon
went off (I don't like raisins). We then moved on to the charity shops which is
always my favourite part. We started off in Sense
which is usually a good one for ex-catalogue stuff (I got my grey maxi dress from
there); I wasn't going to go in but I'm glad I did as I picked up a baroque
print silk scarf for £2! I always love finding vintage scarves for a bargain
price. We then had a look in the kitchen shop which Charlie and Mum both like;
I always want all the cake tins in the pretty different colours and prints. Lorimers was next on the list which is
part of my childhood. I remember when I was younger I saved up half of the
money to buy Baby Sophie (anyone remember her); I actually still have she lives
with my shoes (bad mother). It was so weird seeing all the Bratz and how far
they've fallen. I have loads of Bratz but I have no idea where they are. We
headed to Mind which again can be quite good I usually find a scarf or a book;
but unfortunately today I couldn't find anything. Cancer Research UK was next
and again sometimes you can find good things and other times, you don't find
anything. Now last time I was there I picked up a vintage 1960's cape, this
time I found a men’s oversized denim jacket for a fiver!! FIVER!! I was willing
to pay 40-50 quid in Topman for it, so glad I didn't otherwise I'd be gutted. St Christopher’s Hospice was next
and I never go in there because it smells like soup; but I thought I might as
well look. I headed to the men’s section to look for any bargains and low and
behold I found two men’s t-shirts for £2. One is a grey/blue with LA Roadster on
it with a cool collage of cars on the back, and the other is a white souvenir
t-shirt with Venezia on it (obsessed). I think ShannonLouiseVintage
and The Fashion Citizen
are definitely on to something, with the thrifting/charity shop shopping. We
headed to M&S which was our
last stop before we picked up Lilly and went to Pets at Home and Nan.J's. Busy day!! Oh
and I popped to the pub with the family to meet family friends.
To the outfit...
I had absolutely no idea what to wear
this morning (as usual); and with no time to plan something I chucked this on.
I've had an outfit like this planned in my head; but I teamed it with my
jeggings (which is how I wore it to the pub). I've worn this combination of
jumper and shirt before but I wore it with leggings; not one of my best outfits
but I was coming home from Cheltenham in the
car. This jumper was actually purchased in Cheltenham
in New Look. It's actually Charlie's but
I've commandeered it so technically it's now mine, it's a size 18 so it's the
perfect baggy fit on me. I love the exclamation mark on the jumper because it
stands out. The shirt is a shirt I absolutely adore. It's vintage and I picked
it up in Cirencester while in Cheltenham (I
sense a theme here). I saw it and I think it was £7 or £9 something ridiculous,
so I picked it up and bought it immediately without even thinking twice. I put
a simple gold linked necklace under the collar and kept the rest of the outfit
neutral. I had to still wear black, I couldn't help it.
It's pay day for me today which I'm
happy about!!
I've already ordered stuff which I
don't feel guilty about; but I do feel guilty because it's now 12:36am Saturday
morning and I need to go to bed.
I will bid you all a goodnight!!
Btw here's the link to my OOTD - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIFPbBGNVsY
Fingers crossed I'll get some sleep
tonight...
AS IF!!
B x
