Hey Everyone!!
How are we all??
Good??
Brilliant!!
I'm in an odd mood this weekend, one
minute I'm a ball of happiness the next I'm as moody as can be.
I had a mini breakdown yesterday over
my laptop which is pushing me to the limit.
If any of you lovely people want to
get me a Christmas present; a new laptop would much appreciated.
I have work tomorrow as well so my
mood won't be improving.
Typical isn't it!!
Anyway...
Just a quick post today!!
This was me on Thursday when I popped
in to town to do a bit of street style.
Now as I mentioned yesterday I've
been given a street style project; which is something that I've always wanted
to do but never got round to it. Little did I realise how hard it is!! I
constantly read Facehunter and The Sartoralist, but I always
think leave it to the professionals. I will admit I do like a challenge, but I
didn't realise how much of a challenge it would be! I was definitely nervous
about going up to complete strangers; I'm used to talking to people when I'm
behind a till like a comfort blanket. Being completely isolated without any
help or comfort blanket it's certainly hard. I was tongue tied for the first
half of being in town because I didn't know what to do; but when I saw my work
colleague Hollie I begged her to do me this favour. Thankfully she said yes and
I felt much better after that. I did get one rejection; but after popping in to
work and having a chat with a colleague I felt ready. I did manage to snap 4
people but thankfully 3 of them were in one group. I felt confident after
making a start and people being up for having their pic taken. I did take a
short break and tried on a pair of the Jeffrey Campbell Spiked Lita; which O M
G FIT!!! YAYAYAY!!! I honestly couldn't believe it!! Usually when I fall in
love with a pair of shoes they never do my size, so you can imagine my surprise
and elation when they did. I went up to the shop assistant and said 'you've
made me a very happy girl'. I completely forgot how dark it gets and by that
time I was due to meet my Mum it was too dark for more photos. We rendezvoused
in Primark, where my Mum had mentioned that she treated me to a pair of long
leather gloves. I did pick up a grey high/low hem top, a grey marl midi dress, Christmas
cards, tights and socks. I'm stocked up for Christmas now!!
To the outfit...
Now I'm in a dilemma.
You see my Warehouse trousers have
gone in the wash, so I need to come up with new outfits. So I thought this is
an excuse to bust out the maxi dress. I was originally going to go for my usual
H&M black one; but I thought no I would add a bit of colour (even if it is
dark grey). I picked this dress up from a charity shop ages ago but I've only
worn it the once (here).
But I don't know why because it's a nice length, really long sleeves and nice
round neck. I decided that I would layer up this day because it's FREEZING
outside. I know this H&M jumper is soooooooo unflattering; but I absolutely
love it cause it keeps me warm. I'm wearing my new H&M scarab necklace
which I picked up in the sale for £4!! I'm in love with this necklace I've
wanted it for a while; but couldn't bring myself to pay £7.99 which is an alright
price. But when I went on to the website after the sale had started and saw it
was only £4; I knew that I was meant to have it and that it had to be mine. I
will definitely be wearing it tomorrow for work. I wore my cosmic trainers to
add that little bit of colour.
I'm quite tired today and yet I only
work up at quarter to one I think.
I managed to publish my haul video,
which is currently being uploaded to YouTube!!
I know now I need a new laptop STAT;
but for now my useless machine will just have to do.
I'm so odd...
B x
