God I look weird in all these photos!!
I know I've had a completely shitty week, but this really does take the biscuit!
It really has been an odd week.
I know I probably say that a lot but I feel as if this really has been odder then usual.
I really do go off topic as well don't I??
Back to the point of us being here...
Hello Everyone!!
How are we all??
Good??
That's what I like to hear!!
Well it's good to see you all after a 6 day absence!!
I've been a naughty blogger but I have been ever so slightly busy.
Anyway...
This is a collection of some of the outfits I've been wearing this week, (for today's outfit I basically wore this just with a camouflage jacket and no beanie). Now as you know I started my work experience this week (hence being MIA). It's been pretty up and down this week so I'm just going to give a quick summary. I started on Monday and had to wait around for 40 minutes to be picked up from reception; which I didn’t mind to start off with but my calmness turned in to freak out mode soon enough. It was a long and tiring day but pretty much I did what I do in my day job. I woke up on Tuesday absolutely aching all over (I'm not even lying by Wednesday I actually couldn't move); I went in none the less which is a big deal for me as I never do a second day. I left at lunchtime due to a long story I don't even want to get in to, so I popped and saw my Nan.J who was glad to see me. I had Wednesday and Thursday off as everything was just too much from the aching to everything else. I didn't have any expectations going in to this experience, but it was interesting to see what it would be like. I waited two years for this experience but I don't think it was worth the wait. We'll see how I get on this week (that's if they want me back); world's worst intern over here!! I've spent too much time sleeping in and being lethargic. It's been an odd few days with some crazy stressful incidents. For instance Thursday my Dad and I popped to Battle to pick up my Nan.M; Pepper my aunts dog got out and cause she’s only a puppy she's a nutcase. My Nan was trying to call her and my Dad got in the car to drive up the hill to get her and I did too. Basically long story short after a traumatic 10 minutes and some lovely helpers, Pepper ended up coming to me so I grabbed her collar and put her lead on. I was literally on the verge of crying it was insane. Then yesterday was Charlie's graduation!! Yes she has finally left her University days behind. I was a complete wreck yesterday I literally cried three times, you're probably thinking that's so sweet...it's not! In fact I was crying about me and not Charlie. It really hit home yesterday that not only have I not slept properly in god knows how long; but that I will never have a graduation and I will never go to University. Education and I are not a match made in heaven or a match made at all, so the likely hood of me going to University is beyond unlikely. The day started off stressful as the cap that covers the bit where you inflate the tyres (I know what it's called I'm just too tired to remember); fell actually in to the tyre. Well as you can expect my Dad went in to absolute panic mode, but after me being the genius I am I managed to flick it out. Now I know I sound like I saved the day on both occasions, but this is honestly how it happened. I stayed in Cheltenham last night with Charlie where we had a meal and a quiet night in. We drove home in Mildred this morning via McDonald's drive through, which I haven't had in DONKEYS it was nice and I enjoyed my hash browns (LOVE THEM). I'm home now and enjoying a rest before work tomorrow...don't get me started...
To the outfit(s)...
If you look at the photos above or the link you might notice something odd. Yes I am wearing colour and yes I'm dressed quite girly. I don't know what it is; but when I'm required to do something like work experience or an occasion I always dress like a girl. Ok I know I'm a girl but today's outfit was the closest I got to my usual self. I didn't know what to wear on Monday and I didn't want to scare anyone with my usual attire. I opted for this pink ensemble which for me is very pink; although I can talk as this is an outfit repeat (here is the original). I over heated in this jumper and at one point I wanted to take all my clothes off! I know I have hot flushes but Monday was ridiculous. Tuesday's outfit is more me in a sense that there is a nautical feel to it. I chose the stripey top (which is actually a long body-con top); as I found it on my floor and thought I might as well wear it. I teamed it with my wet look Influence skater skirt which I love, this is only the second time I've worn it but I already love it. I will add that it was £9.99 and I ordered it in M/L, which although is not flattering sitting down (what is) but fine when standing up. I did a simple flat and chunky knit to keep the look simple, unfortunately cause of the boilingness I didn't keep the cardigan on but at least everyone saw my tattoo. Thursday I borrowed a dress from Charlie that made me look like I was pregnant...enough said. Friday I had no idea what to wear. I was going to wear my birthday dress (which I've still yet to wear); but decided on wearing something more classic. I will say my bust looks huge in this dress but I think the geometric print helps with that. It's very 1960's influenced with the cut and print and looks vintage, you wouldn't believe I bought it on my 19th birthday last year from House of Fraser in Cirencester. It's Oasis and was only £20 I think which was a good price for a good dress. I chucked on a chunky cardigan for good measure but I was still freezing. You either have Cheltenham hot or Cheltenham cold - nothing in between. Today's outfit is basically the outfit I was meant to wear on Wednesday, so I decided to give it an outing.
Blooming hell I've written a lot!!
No wonder my left hand feels weird.
Well like I said I'm home now and hopefully become more relaxed then I've been this week. Not to mention that the idea of hibernating looks pretty darn good right now.
Typical me...
B x
