Evening All!!!
And it really is evening as it is currently 11:25pm!!
I can explain - I've just got back from drinks with friends, I enjoyed myself a lot and I hope to do it again.
I am also happy...(drum roll please)
The fire is on!! YAYAYAY!!!
I will no longer freeze to death while watching TV!!
I'm so happy about that...is that weird??
Anyway...
This was me yesterday after I got home from my interview.
I have to admit I was pretty nervous for my interview yesterday, in fact I spent most of the day memorising as much information as I could. (I'm not going to tell you who it was for just in case I don't get the job). I did go to somewhere new in London - Farringdon. Such an odd station and it's quite a big station. Anyway I ended up walking up a few backstreets (after originally going the wrong way); I tell you it's a tricky place to get to but I eventually found it. I would say there was about 20 - 25 of us there and I must admit I felt intimidated. I'm one of those who feels really confident when they leave the house; but goes back in to my shell when I'm surrounded by stylish people. After being forced to watch E News! (It was hell) we were taken downstairs where three tables waited. We all sat down and had to write out a suitability form etc (that part wasn't really interesting); and then as a table we were asked to design a shoe, brand, logo etc which was kind of fun. I love doing tasks like that because I feel more confident now to put my opinion across. I felt quite proud of myself as I got to pick the celebrity endorsement for our shoe. I'm starting to realise now if I'm loud enough people will listen. After what felt like longer then it actually was we had to present our shoe in a presentation, I picked to talk about advertising and celebrity endorsement as it was all about magazines which are my kinda thing. Eventually they let most of the candidates go but kept some us behind, I was one of the ones kept behind and initially I was nervous as sometimes that’s not a good sign. There must have been seven of us left and we sat there nervously; but all they wanted to know was our preferences about where we wanted to work. I would like to think that's a good sign but I'll find out by Wednesday, so fingers crossed!!
To the outfit...
I knew I had to dress smart/fashionable which is an obvious combination. I wanted to do something more alternative with a maxi skirt; but I thought I'd better keep it more traditional. I definitely wanted to wear flats as I knew potentially I'd probably be doing a lot of walking. I went for a plain outfit (it's quite funny because I would probably wear this to work); I originally was going to go for a red blazer but felt like the black and white one was more appropriate. With wearing black and white I planned on wearing silver jewellery and of course that includes me new cross necklace. I love this necklace and for £6 from ASOS I think it's an absolute bargain. I did decide to wear my old faithful top from Primark, which I think I wear too much. I seem to wear it to most of the interviews I've gone to and I wear it all the time for work. It's just such a good top and I love it, as it hides my lumps and bumps but also shows some lovely cleavage (I can't help it). I topped it off with my new bag from New Look. How nice is this bag?? At the moment most of the bags I own (that are black) keep braking, so I was in dyer need of a new bag and I hunted this one down. It's nice and big and can be worn whether handheld or on the shoulder. And for £15.99 you can't complain, it's my new go to bag.
I do apologise if this post is a little bit boring; but it is now 1:35am in the morning and I'm out of it.
Suppose I should get some sleep...
Nah!!
B x
