Hey everyone!!
How are we all??
Good?? Maybe...
Bad?? On occasion...
Ugly?? NEVER!!
I'm strangely tired today...
I know you're thinking I'm always
tired but I don't see why today.
I woke up about 10 something and
feeling lifeless; but even then I only usually feel this tired after a shift at
work.
Maybe my tiredness from work
yesterday has rolled over to today.
Can it do that?? Roll over??
Maybe it can...
I'm babbling again!!
Anyway...
Just a quick post today!!
This was me earlier today after I
went for an audition/interview thing.
Yes I had another interview today!!
I know you guys are probably thinking
'how many jobs does one person need??' Well only two but I feel as if I've
outgrown one of them, (I won't say which one but it's pretty obvious). I
applied for this job (I won't tell you what it is just in case I don't get it);
on Tuesday and by Thursday I got an email congratulating me. I honestly wasn't
expecting that at all but I was happy when I saw it. I was to come in on the
19th (today) for an audition/interview thing. Now I call it a thing because I'm
not quite sure what to call it. I don't know if it's much of an audition; but
you definitely have a sense that everything you do or everything you say is
being watched or heard. I got there 20 minutes early but thankfully I wasn't
the only one; soon the number of people got bigger to the point where there
were 12. It was quite funny because we were sitting in a little front room set
up in the furniture department. We were all getting to know one and other and
having a chat. When 2pm rolled around we were taken in to a training room,
where we had to sit down on three different tables. The head of recruitment
gave us a quick brief about what was going to happen. Next we filled out forms
and did all the admin stuff before moving on. So our main task for the
audition/interview was to create a character profile and find an outfit to
match. The scariest part of it all was that at the end of it all we had to do a
presentation. We started by making notes about who 'Alex' (that's was his
name); is and what his personality etc. There were four of us in the group and
there was a guy called James who took charge. We all pitched ideas and soon enough
it was time to pick the outfit. This was quite fun as I got to dabble in
menswear. Ultimately I was happy that they went for the t-shirt and leather
shirt I picked out. It was really fun seeing different people’s opinion on what
he should or shouldn't wear. Finally we went downstairs again and did our
presentations. We were group 2 and the waiting around was torture; but I was
really happy with the presentation and I don't think I did too badly. We got to
leave after the presentation and we all walked out together, said goodbye and I
ran for the bus like a mad woman. I like interviews because you get to meet new
people and it helps with confidence and social skills. This was round one so
we'll see what happens!!
To the outfit...
Ok can someone please tell me what
you wear to interviews?? It is the most HARDEST outfit you will ever have to
put together. I remember my Primark one I wore of one of their £10 dresses they
used to do. Debenhams, Kurt Geiger and Benefit I wore the same black top
but in different variations. For the Oasis one I
naturally wore of the three pieces I own that is actually Oasis. Now for
this interview they said dress smart but showing you're natural dress sense. My
natural dress sense is what I call '16 year old tramp', so I had to think long
and hard about interpreting me in to a smart outfit. I definitely wanted an
element of who I am in the outfit, so I went for a monochrome base with a motif
and florals. Now let me talk about this spanking new t-shirt from Primark. As I
mentioned in my Wednesday
post, I had popped to Primark recently and picked up a few things. One of
the things I did pick up was this really cool Frankenstein t-shirt from the
men's department. I saw it in a small and I had to hunt it down to find it,
thankfully I found an XL hiding at the back of one of the rails. Not only is
this t-shirt so frigging cool; but it was only £3!! £3!! I KNOW!! BARGAIN!! You
can tell I'm a happy bunny!!
Well it’s 11pm!!
You see my laptop has packed up and I
need to either get an adapter or a new laptop. But as I am useless with
technology, I need someone to tell me what to do. So for now I'm using
Charlie's baby book (netbook); which is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo small!! I
feel like I've stolen a child’s computer; plus my hands are too big for it.
Yeah generally hate it but it does the job.
I think tomorrow might be a boring
day but hey you know what that means...
HERMIT TIME!!!
B x
